Everyone know that half of DLC Citadel is new missions, and half is party ;)
Best things are still in mission part od DLC - you would be veeeeery surprised when you will play it ;)
But even at party there are many surprises and funny situations, that no one revealed to you :)

Dunno if it's possible to place the Party "post-ending". I'd love to see such option, but I doubt it's possible, since heavy coding is involved.

If you can do this, MrFob, you're a gawddamn legend. ^^

For now I'd be glad if MEHEM lives long enough to become a legit 1.0 version. ^^

Concur with Ironhandjustice. Any more implementations into MEHEM will be fun, but MrFob already has my gratitude for fixing an awesome series with a horrible ending

^This. MrFob has my undying thanks for saving this series. And doing that to a game that never released any type of modding tools from the devs is amazing. Especially what people are creating on this forum. This mod only keeps getting more epic ;)

First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT MOD!
You made me fall in love with Mass Effect again :D

This "post-ending-citadel-party" idea sounds really awesome, it would also be great if you could just "d*ck around" after the ending (enjoying the Citadel content,fly around randomly), I always loved doing this after beating ME2 :)

About the modular approach:
Sorry guys but implementing it like that would leave us with more than a few problems.
1. Basically, everything before the ground-side London scenes is one big video which I cut together. It's one entity and it is almost 100 MB big. Apart from the fact that I'd have to re-cut it for every colour, it would also drastically increase the size of the package.
2. Actually it's not one video but two. Once of them is the citadel opening video (called Cit_Flower by the devs). This video is not linked to any conditionals and therefore will play every time, no matter what. This si the part up to the point where the human destroyer gets shot down so it already contains red ending material.
3. IMO, we'd need a whole munch of new scenes to explain what actually happened. I think you can get away with the destroy ending because here, well, the crucible destroys the reapers and that's it. Simple enough and everyone gets it. Control and syntheses are much more complex and would need some sort of explanation. This would probably mean bringing the catalyst back and I have already overwritten almost all his files to get MEHEM working properly. Hence we'd basically have to start from scratch (and with a more difficult task this time).

So, all these difficulties considered, I am probably going tp pass on that one. However, with a video editing program, it should be an easy task to extract my video, simply cut blue scenes into the parts where there are red ones now and re-insert that. You would however also have to change all the other destroy videos with the control ones. Should be doable without too much effort though, Just extract -> rename -> re-insert (maybe you'll need to change the timing for some of them slightly though).

Sure we do. Changing sequences is what MEHEM is all about. Check out my sequence modding tutorial over in the tutorial section of the ME3Explorer forums. Granted, I only got to write the thing on and off and it's far from finished but I think I can confidently say that I have learned enough by this time to be able to ASSUME FULL CONTROL over a sequence. I can add objects, remove them, change links, transfer objects from one sequence to another, change their linked variables, etc.
I hope that now that I have some time in between v0.3 and v0.4, I get around to update and enhance that tutorial. Right now it doesn't cover more than maybe a fifth of what can be done I am afraid. I am also afraid I am not that great at expressing myself for the purpose of tutorials so it's a bit of heavy reading (in my defense, English isn't my native language :)).

About that party:
I have a Shepard standing by at the beginning of ME2 who I want to play through to the end with all the DLC after v0.3 is out (would love to do a whole series playthrough but who has the time). Once I've seen Citadel for myself, we can see what would need to be done and if it's feasible. From what I read here, it sounds possible though and like a good idea at that.

Oh, almost forgot, about v0.3: I am happy to report that I am done with implementing all the functionality I wanted.


And here I thought that gaming life couldn't get any sweeter X) I'm pretty much excited about V.03 and esp curious how will V.04 turn out. And if the Citadel party can take place AFTER the ending, well that's just like seeing my headcanon jumps into reality XD awsome.

How is it any different than playing Citadel at all during the game....billions of people have died before you can access it. Only afterwards you just defeated the reapers so, I think that deserves a party. :wizard:

How is it any different than playing Citadel at all during the game....billions of people have died before you can access it. Only afterwards you just defeated the reapers so, I think that deserves a party. :wizard:

I suspected it would take an entirely seperate mod to accomplish that.  Still, you paved the way, and showed that it is possible.  It wouldn't surprise me to see other modders following in your footsteps to make more MEHEM-ish endings in the future :D

I might try my hand at modding the Control ending sometime. I'd like to make one where Shepard survives and the catalyst kid is skipped. I'd also like to make Anderson survive (in a variant), if possible.

The idea is to have the whole fleet. I won't say more until I can see what can I do. I'm stuck at object movement right now...

Once the video is done, I will probably require some Voice actors, and audio help.

Hey IJH, I have a whole library of ambient sounds from the final ME3 battle. Should be good background material for you. I could possibly send it to you somehow. However, if you just extract the DLC_CON_END_SFX.afc from the extended cut DLC and run it through ME3Explorer's afc extractor, you should find most of it there as well.

@iakus, HJF4 and Xilizhra::I am always happy about new and more mods. If anyone wants to give something a try, I am also happy to help out if I can (so will a lot of people over at the ME3Explorer forums). I'd also encourage everyone who wants to do something to at least give it a try. I never modded another game before doing this stuff either. It's easier than you'd think.
