the current installer recognises, if leviathan is installed and will do everything that is neded automatically.

omega and citadel have no impact on the mod at all.

Sure we do. Changing sequences is what MEHEM is all about. Check out my sequence modding tutorial over in the tutorial section of the ME3Explorer forums. Granted, I only got to write the thing on and off and it's far from finished but I think I can confidently say that I have learned enough by this time to be able to ASSUME FULL CONTROL over a sequence. I can add objects, remove them, change links, transfer objects from one sequence to another, change their linked variables, etc.
I hope that now that I have some time in between v0.3 and v0.4, I get around to update and enhance that tutorial. Right now it doesn't cover more than maybe a fifth of what can be done I am afraid. I am also afraid I am not that great at expressing myself for the purpose of tutorials so it's a bit of heavy reading (in my defense, English isn't my native language :)).

 I just watched the video for the new version and it's great! My only complaint is that I didn't like the new credits song. I looked at the tutorial for replacing the music but I think it's too complicated for me. Is it possible to somehow have the original credits song as an option in a future version?

Would it be possible to use this mod to make the Citadel DLC post-ending?

All that would need to be snipped out of it would be Anderson's conversation at the start of the DLC, perhaps something in Hackett's email stating that Anderson left the apartment to Shepard in the event of his death. Otherwise, the DLC fits in seamlessly as post-ending content.

The Normandy-repairs would make even more sense, as it just fought off a bunch of Reapers.

I know MrFob has said before that he doesn't plan on changing the credits song. ME3Explorer may eventually have an easy music import function though.

BTW, how can you not like Reignite? That song is great.

easy workaround:

- play the citadel dlc-content (except the party) at some point before cronos station
- launch the final mission
- play with mehem
- skip the stargazer scene (you get dropped out on the cic again - right before cronos)
- pretent its been a year and the citadel is already repaired
- throw a victory party

@Mika1h: If I did that, I'd have to supply a whole new DLC_ON_SFX.afc and BioSnd_End003.pcc, which would add 90 or so MB to the mod and I don't want to make different versions or people get confused what's waht. I am happy if people change the songs for themselves (and share these changes with others) but I am afraid I am too much of a Malukah fanboy to do it myself. :whistle:

(The procedure is easier that it seems though. Just give it a try. It's really mainly copy and paste. And if you made backups, there is nothing that can go wrong and that con't be undone with 2-3 clicks.)

On a completely unrelated and off topic note, I changed my mind and just started a new ME1 playthrough. After about 1 1/2 years, this game is just as awesome as I remember it. Good times! :happy:

Thank you all so much for all the work you have done. I know I'm not the first to say this, and it may sound cheesy, but you brought joy back into a heart that was broken by the original ending. Some might dismiss these sentiments and say it's just a game, but I know it's hard to bring happiness and joy to this world, and you did it. Thanks again!

waning spoilers for citadel DLC.

just a idea about the star gazer bit I don't even know if it can be done but why not use the group photo or part of it maybe some chatter from the party then you see the photo and fades to black. then maybe have the Bioware thank you message.

Alright cool I will be on standby if you need me, just say the word :). I know it is still a ways out but when and if the time comes I will be ready. I am also willing to audition for it if you want to find the perfect actors because that would be understanable.

Oh cool, the procedure for healing the face is still almost the same, as well as changing the outfits. Except just extract the corresponding files, editing, and replacing the files. The byte offset and changes are still the same.

Did it also restore the hug? I played it once with my no-LI femshep and there was no hug. I tried the edit as mention in MEexplorer forum to restore the hug, but MEexplorer crashed and produced an error. When I tried the game, there was an error message that said something about EC files being corrupted. So I replaced default.sfar with the backup file and the game was ok again.

I then tried the face and outfit change and those went without issues. Played it again and the face cleaned up and the outfit change worked just fine. But there was also the hug with Ash that I didn't see the first time.

Anyway, nice job on v0.3 to MrFob and contributors. This mod is coming along nicely.

Awesome mod! Thank you for all your hard work. I'm joining the hundreds of other folks who now claim the MEHEM as my personal canon ending.

I did notice some oddities on the game I just finished playing through, though. For some reason, the low-EMS versions of the Crucible/Sol Relay activation and Normandy flying through FTL were cut in (the ones where the relay is completely destroyed and the Normandy explodes when the wave overtakes her). The timing of the music and videos was thrown off because of the much shorter cutscene; Suicide Mission kept playing over the first 10-15 seconds of Hackett's Extended Cut recap monologue.

Some notes, let me know if you need more infomation:
-This was a fresh install of the latest version of the mod, hadn't installed the mod before tonight
-All DLC (Leviathan, Omega, Citadel) were downloaded and installed prior to installing the mod
-The save was high EMS, and all the "best end" videos played correctly except for the two scenes I mentioned
-The save was made after completing the Cronos Station mission, prior to installing any DLC

Edit: No other mods are installed.

I will try rerunning the endgame to see if it was just a fluke. Thanks again for making this mod!

This is the problem. In the readme file (the one that pops up after the installer is finished), it says that you need the EC installed before you start the Cronos station mission. If you use an old save pre-EC, you need to replay from there. Otherwise exactly this bug happens.
If you don't have a pre-Cronos save, you can just play through the bugged ending once and use your after-ending save to start Cronos again. This will result in the mod running as intended.

Firstly, thanks MrFob for your efforts here; I can't imagine how many hours you must have spent on this! I've just started an ME1 replay so I can get my "perfect playthrough" and avoid Bioware's rather disconcerting deus ex machina end to Shepard's story.

I assume this refers to the procedure described at http://me3explorer.f...php?t=118&p=667 ? After running the MEHEM v.3 installer (I never had v.2 installed), the BioD_End002.pcc (Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\CookedPCConsole) does not resemble the version of the file found in the manual version and the hex values at offset 4D8F9 are completely different (there is no 7D 00 00 00 57 anywhere).

I tested with an existing save and MEHEM is working properly - any idea why that file doesn't match? I don't want to start mixing and matching the installer version with the manual version, but assuming this process works for custom Shepard, I'd like to remove the gore (bruises are fine, but fresh blood around the nose/mouth is a bit much at the memorial scene). Thanks for any suggestions!

As far as I know, v0.3 did play correctly, I got the Citadel survivors slide, and MEHEM credits at the stargazer scene. But getting the hug scene with a no LI Shepard have me a little unsure now.

You may want to try the procedure outlined by Fob here, only reverse:

Namely, see whether at that particular section within Hex-editor it shows a 5D and replace that with A6.
Just my educated guess, though. >>

@Avaraen and thatdude90210 : You need to use the BioD_End002.pcc, that you extracted from the EC DLC. The one in the main game folder is completely different (and irrelevant for the mod).

I just re-checked it and the offsets and values are still correct. However, I realised that there is a second offset you need to change in v0.3. I updated the instructions in the customisation thread accordingly.

EDIT: @thatdude90210: Wait, do I understand that correctly, you got the hugging scene with a Shepard who had no LI? That should not happen. Do you have other mods installed? Is your savegame modified with Gibbet? Did you have the EC installed before starting Cronos station? Did you get all high EMS cutscenes as intended?
Also, you said you had v0.2 installed before and might have mixed up something with the backups. Go to Origin, repair both, the EC and the Leviathan DLC and then use the v0.3 installer. If the problem persists after that, please let me know.

I remember a while back MrFob, you mentioned that EDI is still flagged as dead by the ending. MEHEM was only a cosmetic change. Is that still the case?

I ask in case there is an import save function for ME4. I would rather take my chances with a save file that lists Shepard, EDI, and the Geth alive than one of Bioware's endings.

Yeah, i'm getting the hugging scene with a no-LI Shep as well.
All DLC installed, no other mods. DLC worked perfectly otherwise.
