@McBlade223:The problem with adding Miranda/Jack to the Normandy is not so much their that modding meshes and textures is hard (we don't really need to mod them at all since they are already there). The problem is adding them to this level and activating them under the right circumstances, especially because this level is part of a DLC. WV has made the new DLC patcher which makes this possible but I always wanted to keep MEHEM viable for the vanilla version of the game. However, it may be possible to make an add-on for mEHEM now, which adds them to the game. It's still difficult to do but I think it might be feasible. I'll have to check it out when I get to work on the mod again in June.

What if you overwrote the files for the Catalyst model with Jack or Miranda? The total number of files would be the same and the Catalyst would be easier (I think) to activate.

The model of the catalyst is in the wrong file. I need to add the model to the memorial, which is a different map than the crucible chamber.

Hey, I'm playing through ME2 again doing a mehem trilogy playthrough for the first time...

I'm about to go to the Reaper IFF mission and there's a line by Joker where he says "you better take the shuttle for this next mission" without Shepard in screen like in ME3. No one else is in the shot either so it'd be perfect if you're still keeping this line from v0.3 in v0.4.

Ah, sorry. I forgot that the memorial scene is actually from the DLC.

I think the issue is that Joker is in Cerberus gear.

oh well that's true... lol

edit:

But honestly, a little logo isn't as jarring as a whole person.

MrFob...does the tools you use to do all this provide you with a list of all the pcc files involved in any given scene or do you somehow have to fish them out?

I'd like to try and see why the game crashes every time I try to activate a conversation with Ashley in the hospital when using one of my Ashley mesh mods. I am mainly up on meshexplorer and less so the rest.

I'm late to the party having just downloaded this mod but damn it is so much better it is not funny. As for the question as to why this couldn't have been done in the 1st place by bioware I will never know.

@Jade: Since v0.3, Shepard is no longer in the scene you are talking about. I replaced him with an alliance soldier. Shep is no longer visible on the Normandy.

@Getorex: Usually it's pretty self explanatory since the files are named and numbered so that you can figure out which file is loaded at each part of each mission. I think what you are looking for is to figure out how to see which objects are used at which point of game flow. Well, you are in luck. WV and I recently figured out how to implement a viable debugger for ME3 modding. Check this out and here is a little video of the whole thing in action.
You can use this tool to display all sequence objects as they are loaded by the game. This way, you can see where exactly in the game flow your game crashes and you can start debugging from there. If you can program a little you can easily modify the source code of the tool to display other objects beyond sequences as well. Good luck!

Good news guys, the splitted files load textures well. At this moment, I have a working model from Harbinger with the correct textures.

I have used other textures, and now it is darker and more badass than ever. I'm replacing current reaper textures right now, to make them more scary. I've only to adjust the normal texture and we have new and creeper reapers :)

On the other hand, making progress on the rest of fleet animations, the brekeable models are still on "I don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong" phase xD

Expect more progress during the week, my house movement is almost done.

@All

Thanks for the audio suggestions. I should take a look.;)

Maybe Shepard saluting the memorial wall instead of the hug? That's pretty much the only scene with Shepard in MEHEM. The final battle doesn't take Renegade/Paragon into account.

Paragon/Renagade isn't the same as Light Side/Dark Side, Open Palm/Closed Fist, Good/Evil, etc. Shepard is still the hero and doing "good", just with different personalities and attitudes about it.

I think what creapsmantic means is: Will there be some special/distinct scenes for renegades? (as the current MEHEM goes very much in a paragon direction)

The answer is, with all the romance stuff and high vs. low EMS in the next version, I am drowning in variables as it is (I start to have more and more admiration for BW's accomplishments, especially with the EC when it comes to accounting for all this stuff). I'd love to have something for the die hard renegades. My plan was to replace the hugging scene and to end the game with something like this. However, it's a bit hard since packing even more stuff into these files is a problem and I'd need at least two versions for it (male and femShep). So while I did try this, for now, the answer is unfortunately no.

Fantastic work. I cannot imagine how much effort went into doing that. Thank you. I was never really upset about Shepard's death or almost death. I just thought the ending did not make sense. After playing this, enough of the questionable content is removed and the ending was much more palatable. Incidentally, I really liked the hug. Nice touch. I expected my Shepard and Liara to tell each other they loved each other again. It was that nice of a moment.

Well I know this isn't much but it's something, plus you get to see my smiling face. The photo is 5 years ago, but since "youth" is what is needed in this world I'm not replacing it any time soon.

Here are the ground battle sound FX put together from the multiplayer files that were provided by cfs3corsair. I cut them to pieces and put them together to go with the video. The abrupt change in volume level toward the beginning is due to a sudden close up.

I added FX where the reaper lands, where the wave hits, where the reapers fall, timed the pistol shots on the husks perfectly, and the last wave. The background ambient battle goes silent after the wave passes.

Note, this is a raw mix straight off the DAW. It is not to the audio quality that will be going on the game file. I always polish things up and add some sheen to them to bring them up to professional level. I didn't do anything with this because it is going with the orchestral mix, and I've got to blend the two together. It's all tech that gets very boring.

I just finished the MEHEM ending. I was so crushed by the first ending I felt like I needed grief counseling when I finished ME 3 for the first time a couple of months ago. It was my first run through so I was going to replay it anyway to try to shore up some of my choices. In fact I replayed the whole series and downloaded the MEHEM so I could have a perfect game. The MEHEM was good. The edited part with Shepard's pick up from the Citadel was a little choppy but I really, really, really appreciate the effort in making this ending. I feel like I finally have closure. My Shepard can now live on with his true love of all three games, Liara. His best friend and loyal camrade in arms, Garrus, can live in peace with Tali. (I can't believe Shepard busted them in the forward battery, totally awesome!) Ashley and Vega can have a, what I am sure will be, rocky relationship. Miranda, Jack, Grunt, Joker, and EDI can live on, rebuilding the galaxy. Zaeed, Kasumi, Jacob, Samara, Cortez, Dr. Chakwas, Traynor, Kolyat, Aria, Wrex, and Javik can do the same. I can go on and on about all of my favorite moments in this series. The MEHEM will alow me to put this away for awhile. When I finished ME 3 the first time I knew that I would not be able to reat until there was closure. MEHEM gave me that. Thank You!

Thanks guys!

@Julia: I just ran the sound together with a silenced yt video of that scene. The timing seems rpetty good. Nice work. I am curious to hear in in context with the music. Only thing I felt missing was the sound of the Mantis flying past close to the beginning. As I said, if you need any sounds, I have some that might fit in well.

@whereuwan2be: Yea, I am afraid that's a known bug in v0.3. The weird thing is that this is random (or rather, I haven't figured out the pattern yet, which is why I didn't pick it up before releasing v0.3). If you load your last save, you might actually get the scene. I will try to fix this for v0.4.

somehow I did it again; I have to reinstall EC to make MEHEM work properly for a canon playthrough. Ugh. Aaaaaand that probably means I have to do cronos station all over again :P Does anybody know if I have to reinstall Leviathan as well?

EDIT: Nm, it turns out that after you download EC, (and if you already had MEHEM installed once) all you have to do is uninstall/reinstall mehem and it works just fine, regardless of whether you finished Cronos station or not.
Sorry there is a lump in my throat from watching the real (mehem) ending... just so good!

@Shotgun Julia
Nicely done! I really like the sound effects, seem to reflect what the player would expect to hear with each specific event. Cant wait to hear the rest of the soundtracks!

If you have a sound file of a Mantis flyby, could you send it to me (you still have my e-mail, right)? If not I could probably construct something close (I'm guessing they have a combination of a rocket with a whining sound? and I'd add a doppler effect.). BTW if you line up the file with the first head shot, the timing is right, but running against a silenced Youtube, is going to be rough. The sound of the reaper landing is delayed slightly for distance as is the reaper falling sound.

There will still be some music over-laying the battle in the very beginning of it, then I'm going to bring up the battle volume to the level of where the music was. Then the music starts again more in the background, and comes up after the final wave passes over. I give our grunt his shining moment blowing away husks with a pistol while saving his buddy.
