You have my respect then.
As was pointed out here somewhere, too many BSNers take the stance of "My view is *the* right one" when one should just allow for difference in opinions.
As for the creative process, I hope too that any feedback or criticism made are neither an attack nor looked upon as an attack on the individual.
Witing, composing, drawing, they all benefit from comments and views other than your own.

- "No One Lets Behind" is definitely Final Fantasy-style, I'm big fan of the series and my initial thought was that it was directly from FF8 (this is a compliment - FF8 soundtrack rocked totally
- "Their Finest Hour" is masseffect-ish and sounds like a big moment tune, bring it on

No. I've never played Final Fantasy or heard the soundtrack.
I'm not saying you stole square's music, but your music has a very Final Fantasy sound to it.

Then Open B:
Play A muted and watch it while listening to B.

Is it a bad thing if her track(s?) got that vibe to it?
Personally, I don't see it. Broad 90s-style, I can certainly relate it to. Or hell, the strings initially reminded me of one of Halo 1's main-theme sections: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=Hpl5G1J1FE0 - which by no means is a bad thing.
Frankly, it's a futile discourse anyway, as there are, and certainly still will be ways to adjust the section's music ourselves. So really, everyone's a winner.

I just finished my first playthrough using this mod. Yeah... I had actually avoided playing the game because I had heard of the endings. I understand that there are many who are fine with them as is, and that's cool. But now at least there is a POSSIBILITY of having an ending that isn't completely depressing. After all that hardship, loss, pain, and fear, we pull through.
A very hearty thank you to everyone who worked on this. You made Mass Effect 3 something I wanted to play again.
This is exactly it. I have no problem if some like what they have, but for me the endings should have for one thing made some coherent sense that fit the rest of the story and Shepard's character, and for another they should have run the gamut from that surreal depressing stuff to more authentic consequences surrounding the possibility for a happy outcome with a true victory.
MEHEM fits this and leaves me feeling the way I prefer to feel after playing such a game where I was invested emotionally in the characters and their lives. If I had never cared about them it would have been different.

BTW Twilight, that Final Fantasy track is a very solid composition. It creates a feeling of urgency. Funny thing about that. I was trying to create a feeling of urgency. Apparently I succeeded. Mass Effect music has never had that "vibe" to it. That sense of urgency, or race against time.
Mass Effect has always been of exploration and of wonder, or "I'm Commander Shepard, and I'm going to kick your ass." OR as in this last installment, mostly about loss, or "we need to feel sad." "Rannoch" is about the best battle music track in ME3, but you really don't want to use the same track twice. It was a race against time to get Shepard off the Citadel against impossible odds.
This is where our ending became Fan Fiction. We chose to do that race against time. We are the little people rescuing the person who may have just saved the lot of us from certain death. We're rescuing the hero who has been saving us. We changed the dynamic. Instead of the traditional hero's tragic death or sacrifice, we said "No one gets left behind." Those are Shepard's words. How many times did we hear "No one gets left behind"? Probably once, but it stuck.
Shepard probably said gratefully, "You stupid bastards."
And we said, "Shut up, (Sir, Ma'am). No one gets left behind."
So the little people become heroes, too. Not just Shepard.
I should go... or is it I should go. ... or I should go. or ... I should go.

If you used waivon's installer you should be fine. If you're doing the beam run and not hearing harbinger talking to you something didn't take, because I think that's the first bit to clue you in.

I kinda feel like I should explain why I enjoyed this new soundtrack.
In a sense, I think MrFob may have inadventantly stacked the deck against Julia (or anyone else who tried to make new music for MEHEM) in picking the Suicide Mission theme. It's pretty much THE best track of the Mass Effect trilogy. It's big, bombastic (and I love bombastic), and practically screams "I'm Commander Shepard, and I'm here to kick your ****!" Tough act to follow.
Except, that's not really what's happening here. Shepard has fallen. It's up to the muggles now to save him/her. Those who wear uniforms, not costumes. And that's what the music makes me think of. A small military force not battling the Reapers, but trying not to get curb-stomped by them. Not a glorious final battle, but a final, desperate race against the clock. This is The Black Gate. This is The End of All Things.
And finally, the dawn breaks. Victory, rebirth. The music is different, but it's still Mass Effect if you listen.
Agree completely

OOPS...have to retract second point. The first experiment worked the second is still in progress.
This gets us a step closer to actually being able to add NEW content to the game and MEHEM.

MEHEM does not alter coalesced.bin. Of course, you'll never truly know until you try.

The one thing I never felt while playing the original or EC endings was leaving with the feeling that my efforts were worth it.
And unfortunately at one point I kinda got frustrated to the point that my feelings of bitterness (there is no "bittersweet" in the Original at all) carried over to other games and activities.
MEHEM is a good end to for anyone who has spent 5 years emotionally investing in the *hope*, and that's the real theme of the ME series, hope, of a better future for the characters in the game.

It has been brought up before. I think the idea for the moment is have this scene as an easter egg... like meet a very specific set of variables and instead of the original *poof* you get this
