remember this mod is still in development so not every situation had been encountered yet. That being said, I am willing to bet the install will go just fine. May not, I dont have the same mods you do. Do it (make backup first just in case) and let us know the results!MadCat221 wrote...
Sooooo I still haven't heard if it's safe to install MEHEM with the auto-installer if I've already modified a lot of stuff already with texture mods via ME3Explorer texture installation...

The only thing that could make the MEHEM better was to figure out a way to make a control ending available for the true renegades. Right after you kill the IM, have an option to mod the interface and have Control happen instead of Destroy. But other than that one picky item, which would probably about double the mod....it is perfect in my opinion. I can now play ME3 again, it only took a year + to be able to get over the original ending enough to come back and try it again with the MEHEM.

It might be possible to make a Control version of MEHEM but it probably would not be compatible with this one, due to the process required to make this mod.

I've been playing ME2 recently (for the first time since ME3 came out, other than firing it up to check a couple of things) and when hearing Okeer's statement about inflicting the greatest insult possible on an enemy - to ignore it - I couldn't help think about MEHEM and the Catalyst.
Replace "enemy" with "fan" and you've got something even more profound.

It's really high quality for a fan made mod. It's really well put together, and frankly I was blown away by it. Seriously, the makers did a wonderful job. It was definitely way better than my expectations, which were pretty high.
I really liked the original ending of Mass Effect 3. The "indoctrination" ending the developers went for in the vanilla game was clever, progressive, interesting, and new. So I liked it a lot for those reasons.
But when you think about implementing it, you realize there is no way Bioware could have done it so it gives you the raw satisfaction that MEHEM gives. Even though all of the stuff you can see in MEHEM can essentially be cannon in the player's imagination (head cannoned) and is merely implied by the original indoctrination ending, it's still more satisfying to see it for yourself in MEHEM. That is what makes MEHEM so good and satisfying.
Another thing MEHEM does well is how it takes out of the Star Child. Even as a supporter of the original indoctrination ending, I didn't like it because it was simply too OBVIOUS. IT gives away the whole thing instantly. I have always enjoyed subtlety in everything, so I find the indoctrination to be much more artful without the Star Child.
Another thing that I liked was how this whole project really shows how powerful and intelligent the fans are. As well as how dedicated and capable. So thank you, makers of MEHEM, for making us all look good.
All in all, I'd say MEHEM is great because it is unique and grants a new perspective. I don't think it should replace the old ending though. It's about just as good because while it has advantages, it lacks the art, freshness, cleverness, and progressive nature of the original.

Yeah, ,the crew that has put this together has really shown some serious talent. It's great just to have other options for the ending which, for me, avoids a brain cramp listening to the star kid.
I tried this one
http://social.biowar...m/project/8684/
and for someone who only romance Kaidan, it really is a nice ending with some plot holes, but more in the vein of the original endings, without the last scene being Shepard just lying in rubble.
Mr Fob would love to see more people tackle the endings with mods for yet more perspective, such as his own MEEM.

Since the endings were so controversial it's great to see a few other choices out there. I know I'm a sucker for an old fashioned ending so MEHEM is all I use now for my many trilogy play throughs.

A lesson for those developer's who think that lots of thinking results in a great outcome.
Never underestimate the 'play it straight' route.

Yesterday, I animated all the parts of the Harbinger, and it moves like a whole -12 lights, 1 body, 28 leg parts- and started my first boum-boum-explosion-debris scene. I abandoned physX due compatibility problems, so I will have to animate every debris.
Headache incoming xD
Also, a ton of minor fixin', and the possibility of an asari destroyer is near...

But woho, would people please chill out.
Julia did an incredible job with the music. Of course, it wouldn't be to everyones liking 100%. Nothing ever is. However, like it or not, that doesn't diminish the accomplishment (as everyone, even the critics have said in this thread as I am very happy to see). But please, no one is deviding anything here, Julia least of all. She has made an incredible contributions here and deserves nothing but thundering applause as far as I am concerned.
There is no question that her new soundtrack will be in v0.4.
I can however understand that people who are already very familiar with the suicide mission track for the mod and might want to have a chance to retain it if they choose so. My plan is to release the mod itself only with Julia's music but I will upload a file which will make it a bit easier to "mod the mod" and use the old music. After all, this mod was always about giving everyone access to their own favorite ending.
I'm very curious to see the actual music with the actual mod in game (fortunately, I'll be able to see it as sson as I get back in a week:devil:). Then it's time to get started on v0.4 for real from my end.
