I think it worked perfectly fine for Dragon Age, but that's just my opinion.I just don't think that slides are a good way to close the narrative of such a cinematic game so I'd rather just leave the long term repercussions to people's imagination.

Two ways I see a text slide working in Mass Effect.:
- Format it like a codex entry with Mr. Codex Narrator and everything. Have it written from a future perspective.
- Have it be part of the Alliance database profile for Shepard that was being opened at the start of ME1. (The background/history section). It would seem like the entire trilogy was part of the file. Maybe have the file be corrupted again for old times sake.

Yeah, it worked well dor Dragon Age. But with Hackett's speech and the picture slides, I think text would be too jarring for MEHEM.

Well, at the end of Dragon Age, you also have a (brief) speech by Duncan, but I see your point.Yeah, it worked well dor Dragon Age. But with Hackett's speech and the picture slides, I think text would be too jarring for MEHEM.

The game has you trudging it out in the trenches taking out reapers along the way, and you smacked the collectors in their bug headed carapaces, so this definitely feels like a "get some" ending that 3 needed and sorely lacked. If we can't have a Harbinger fight I at least want to feel like my efforts aren't all in vain.
This is the best and closest thing. May just grab these for pc for the sake of this mod. Bravo.

Seems that we are having many problems on the office, so I will have to make more extra hours than a clock. Hurrah
I'll try to advance while possible, but these days I'm having problems to even see my GF, so...
But don't worry, it will be an hiatus, I'll try to make concept for the remaining scenes and when I have the time it will be only implement them.
Cheers!

I do not think it is MEHEM causing this.
I am using a coalesced.bin mod, SweetFX & FXAA Injector + over 40 retextures (with Texmod).
Right now I am reinstalling the game.
Would you recommend to install
1) The Game itself
2) All the DLCs (Ext. Cut, Citadel, Omega & all these Weapon packs for Single Player)
3) Install MEHEM
4) Install Coalesced.bin mod
5) "Install" SweetFX/FXAA Injector & textures

I can recommend the first 3 steps. As for the last ones... make sure the game starts up after step 3. Then do step 4. Repeat for 5 (if you actually want the other mods that bad). This way both you and us can isolate the problem and figure out where the conflict is. I run 2 mods on Mass effect 3, and only 2. One is MEHEM. The other is a Tali Bedside Picture mod I made that I put on using ME3explorer. No conflict

How can i use ME3explorer for textures?

I don't know how to replace all ME3 textures, there is probably something on the me3explorer forums about that. I myself, to replace the getty image of Tali, simple made got a pic of Tali I liked, resized to 512x512, opened it in Paint.net and saved it as a mitmapped file, then opened ME3 explorer, opened the texture tool, clicked "Mod!", selected my mitmapped pic, and allowed updates to install.

I really don't like that sort of thing, it's kicking the story away from the player and explicitly saying that it was all a story instead of pretending that you're Commander Shepard. It's akin to breaking the fourth wall (for me, anyway).wwinters99 wrote...

Don't get me wrong, I don't really like this sort of end either. It normally screams "We ran out of time/money". (It was though a hilarious way to end the movie Animal House).
I would however prefer my ideas over having Buzz Aldrin narrate on top of a deviant art desktop wallpaper.

@wwinters99 & Reorte: The idea with having another alliance database screen like in the very beginning of ME1 is kinda cool because it would be the perfect closed circle. But I am with Reoerte on this, it removes you quite far from the story. The stargazer scene is bad enough in that regard, IMO.
@PR3D4TOR: Be sure to run the TOC.bin updater tool (part of the ME3Explorer) after installing multiple mods. For MEHEM for example, I had to modify the TOC.bin and it may therefore mess with other mods. Running the updater tool should take care of any problems in that regard.
@IHJ: I know exactly what you are talking about.

It's called "Shepard's Rescue."
I hope you like it. I think it fits with the game.

I understand there's going to be a rescue scene of Shepard in the middle of the chaos, so I wrote a short piano soundtrack for it. I wrote it Thursday and recorded it on my piano last night. I've already figured out how to make this fit musically. I also know we'll only use maybe 1/4 to 1/2 of the song for the scene, but here is the entire song.

Reminds me of the more contempletive moments of the series. I like it, but do we know how it will fit with the more martial themes of the space battle? Just wondering since I don't know when exactly Shepard's rescue is going to be in the chain of events.

It's going to be on the Citadel itself away from the battle. I purposely wrote it in Hulick's contemplative style for that purpose. If it works it works. If it doesn't it doesn't. It took me all of an hour to think of, and 30 minutes to record.
Actually I had an EMT over this afternoon visiting and player her the battle scene and paused it and played a section of this where I thought the rescue scene was going to go. She thought it would work, but then it's not up to her, and really it's not up to me either. If it's not used, it'll go into the "music not used" file and I can have it published in a beginner's piano book. lol.
The thing is when you're working on a project like this and a melody comes into your head you write it down, and you record it, and you hope it fits somewhere. That's where we are at this point.

Wooow that does fit in quite nicely. Not just saying that either, it really fits when I picture it in my head. Would be perfect if somehow the LI could be there in this scene, and/or have some meaningful dialoge. Still awesome, hope to see it in v0.4:wizard:
EDIT: Just watched it with the beta ending scene MrFob threw together. Obviously since its the beta scene nobody knows yet how its gonna play out, but when I listened to the music while watching the scene, it was quite powerful

I had five minutes yesterday, and I had an epiphany. With a little trick i can make emissive textures glow! Now the ships on the video will have this "glow" effect that we saw on Bioware's windows.
About files, my original idea was upload everything. The problem is that with no net at home, and out of home this weekend (to my boss wedding, see to believe), is quite hard. All, including my dev tools and materials will be uploaded to the repository soon.
@S.Julia.
This song in not only good (the previous ones were good), is beautyfull. I imagined the complete scene and almost cried.
Snif.
Masterpiece, seriously
