Thanks for the feedback everyone! A few things:
- Stars: My plan is to add stars especially in the beginning but to have them drowned out by the sun and the earth, so that they are only visible at certain angles. I am still researching how best to do that though, hope it'll work.
- Earth: Well spotted wwinters99!!! You win the

The thing is that earth in this version is just a texture, applied to a flat mesh, put into the right position. As you can see, the texture is vertically flipped. Probably won't do it for the final version though (if I even keep this procedure, see below).
@BDelacroix: That earth of yours looks amazing. If you don't mind, I'd love to experiment with is. Maybe I can also try to give it some scarring from the war, if you don't mind me modifying it. Not too much though, I think from this distance, you would not see even the damage the reapers caused unless they tore out bits of the surface, which are several hundreds of square kilometres in size. Getting 3DsMax models into UDK is no problem. I sent you a friend request, so we can PM.
- Citadel and debris: The Citadel is in geosynchronous orbit above London. Here we see South America and parts of the Atlantic ocean. Once the texture is flipped right, the Citadel should be just behind the Horizon, close to where the Normandy is going. The citadel is a couple of km long structure in orbit (see epilogue slides) and in this vid we are pretty far away (we can almost see the entire planet). I doubt you'd see it. IMO, a similar argument can be made for debbris of the battle that was really fought mainly around the citadel itself und would consist of even smaller objects. Space is frigging huge!!!
That said, I do agree that a reaper carcass might look kinda cool in the scene though it might take attention away from the Normandy which really is supposed to catch the viewers eye in the final scene. I might do some tests to see how it works out.
