If you get any of the DLC The Citadel DLC is a must buy.  And with it you can use the Citadel Epilogue Mod to make the DLC the Epilogue this game deserves.  That alone makes it worth the $15.

I'll admit I bought the DLC only after MEHEM came out as the mod got me excited for ME again and my love of ME strongly outweighs my dislike of Bioware. To quote game reviewer Jim Sterling, I chose to support the art over the artist.  Though to each his/her own.




This is basically where my head ended up regarding all of this.  I do believe in principles and on that alone, I'd say don't support them for actually abandoning fans and this game they created.  But, sometimes that's like biting off your nose to spite your face.  It's a useless gesture and one they seem perfectly willing to ignore.  That doesn't mean I'll blindly support them in future products (I'm in wait and see mode but will only consider ME or something like it that is more true to the story).  It means I cared about this product and wanted to get rid of that let down feeling.  MEHEM has received criticism from some who think it's an insult to Bioware's creative pursuit.  Bioware should be down on the ground thanking those working on this for rehabilitating the game and making people actually want to buy the stuff they didn't want to buy before. 

As I see it, it's support for ME and support for MEHEM.  And it's support for my own wishes.  Those outweigh any benefits to devs who lost their way.  It also may be what convinces them to remember the power of keeping a good story good and that sometimes going with more predictable (done well) is better than going with super crazy (done badly).  Love for this game for many has been refreshed by MEHEM and also the Citadel mod.

I think it has something to do with Shepard's makeup. At least, that's the only reason Shepard would be required.


I know this was several pages back and I'm not adding a sincere suggestion, but I wish in the game there was an option to have alternate ending choices (sort of like outtake moments).  My favorite would be the kid saying he controls the reapers and as he starts rambling on about synthetics inevitably destroying organics, Shepard says, "enough!" and chucks the kid into the beam.  Only problem is then I guess everyone would turn into little catalyst clones.

As usual, great work on all of this.  You all are amazing.  Best thing about ME, really.


If you turn starbrat's eyes into glowing yellow ones and he says with Harby voice "You will be as we are", and if you don't choose "enough!" option, refuse ending plays every time +  "shep was indoctrinated", I buy it.

As I said with MEHEM, I can move a translation to spanish to have the aditional version for Citadel Eplogue.

The entire Citadel DLC is playable after the end of the game. No "ghost" Anderson on the video screen, no Cerberus, no Reapers, no nothing but a clone, CAT6, and getting together with your crew.

And my apologies. We should move my stuff to the Citadel Epilogue Mod forum instead and let this forum stay on track with its awesome MEHEM talk.

Have you been able to add Miranda and Jack to the Memorial if romanced? Substitute one model for the other. Like take out James or whoever and replace with one of the two mentioned.

That would be super cool. Current Normandy appearance in slide is nice but appearance of Miranda at Memorial would be extra nice.

Right there with ya man. Hugging Miranda would be THE perfect ending. However, many many pages back in this thread Mr.Fob addressed that issue. Due to the difficult technical aspects of it, he stated that a way still has to be found to integrate the ME2 love interests in the hugging scene, implementing the animations and body meshes (just going by memory here, feel free to correct me Mr. Fob Image IPB). I still have a ray of hope that one day, it will be possible. Image IPB But even if it isn't,  this mod brought the series back for me. There is no way I could play ME3 without it. Many thanks Mr.Fob.Image IPB 

Before I forget, AMAZING job on the shuttle sequence Mr.Fob, was completely stunned.  Cannot wait for 0.4 Image IPB

Well, McBlade223 is right for the most part. While in the last couple of months, great progress has been made by the guys over at the me3explorer forums in terms of mesh management, I still haven't found a good way to incorporate new meshes into the level (everything I tried so far didn't work).
Possibly overwriting an existing mesh could work but there are issues as well since the references for meshes are not unique to one actor and most of the ones loaded in the Memorial are coming straight from the squad mates BioH files anyway.
In any case, if this ever works, it would be a bonus thing, which you'd have to install seperately because you'd always Miri and Jack there if you change the file in this way.
In short, I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure this out but it didn't work so far, so there won't be a Miri and/or Jack hug in the foreseeable future, sorry.

The good news is that after one horrible week of beating the mod with my stick, I think I finally managed to fix the Memorial selection bug (the one I discribed on the last page or so). I had to basically re-structure the entire mod (so I hope I didn't create a new bug in the process) but my testing so far worked out, So in v0.4, you should always end up in the right memorial. Along the way, I also fixed the Ash/Traynor overlay bug and the Ash-romance-non-hug bug (thanks to Saito404 for the tip on that one).
So, as far as I can see that should be all of them, did forget anything? I went through the old pages of this thread but thanks to the horribly inaccurate timestamps for posts on this forum, I might have missed something.
If nothing else comes up, it's finally back to finishing the new videos (which thankfully is much less frustrating than bug fixing). But please let me know if you encountered any other issues. I'd like v0.4 to run properly, once it's done. :)

Out of curiosity, what difficulties have you had in implementing the UDK created clips into the mod? Have there been any annoying or amusing glitches when switching between an in-game scene and a clip?

Awesome mod! You should change the armormodel as well so you wear a more worn one then utterly battered and Shepard has dropped his helmet and gloves. Can you fix his walk as well, want to fairly intact until the Elusive man shoots him in the stomach and shoots something vital. Would be way cooler!

Well, personally I was thinking substituting the person who is the best friend. So instead of "Garrus model = Miranda model" it would be "Most Friend Points = Miranda model". I assume that's how the hug is decided if no romance occurred/is present). And only at the point of the hug (if that were even possible). I admit I have no clue how any of this stuff works so I'm just throwing stuff out there. And yeah, I guess it would probably have to be a mod installed before a playthrough specific to the romance in question.

@Blad3Zer0: Not really. I don't import the UDK videos as UDK maps but just as bink videos. There is not much happening there. Either it works or it doesn't. Making these videos on the other hand is a different matter. If I had a dollar for all the ships I have inadvertently "crashed" into one another in UDK, we could hire Pixar to make these cutscenes. :)
I don't work much with character models though, that would be funnier because when animations don't export from ME3 properly, they perform quite the ... acrobatics.

@Norda92: I am afraid I don't quite understand what you mean. Shep is already wearing torn armor without helmet or gloves in the end. Also, I guess in your second part you mean anderson? Changing that would require changing the animations and to me it looks like Shep hit an artery and Anderson is bleeding out. Makes sense to me. If Shep had hit the heart/lungs or another vital organ, they probably wouldn't really have time for their final conversation.

@Gtacatalina: Thanks. Yea, I guess it's better to be stuck under your LI than under rubble. :)

@The Twilight God: What I mean is that it would require much more research on my part to import the mesh properly into that map (my attempts so far didn't work). If you make it a stand alone thing with it's own installer, once you would have the mesh loaded, it would be easy to put it into the right position BUT it would be a mod for this romance only. That's not really what I am going for with MEHEM, I want to create one mod that you install once and then you can use it with all your Shepards without worrying about it anymore.
As I said, maybe some day but for the moment, there are plenty of other things that still need improvement.

@Tharja: If you installed v0.3 with wavion's installer, you can just use the uninstaller that comes with the mod. It will automatically restore your vanilla game.

If you did a manual install and don't have backups (not recommended), you'll need to repair your main game, as well as you Extended Cut and Leviathan DLC via Origin (see wavion's install FAQ, linked in the OP).

I was thinking Shepard should be shoot in the stomach by the elusive man and the armor would be less damaged then it is when entering the citadel. So you will be wearing your customized armor without helmet and gloves when beaming up there. Shepard would start to limp after getting shoot by the elusive man, rather then limp the whole way to the console. Better explination I think.
