The phrase on the name plate is "Ad Astra Per Aspera" and it will most definitely stay (just look at my signiture to see that I am rather fond of it). It's Latin and roughly translates into "To the stars through difficulty". Not only does the phrase fit well here, but - just like the name Shepard - it is also a reference to real space flight since it can also be found on the memorial plate for the Apollo 1 Astronauts at Cape Canaveral.
Also, it has just as many letters as "Adn David Anderson", which makes the mesh replacement a lot easier.
Also, it's the state motto for Kansas but that doesn't really have anything to do with anything.

Do you plan on releasing a definative version, or will you just keep dabbling & revising the mod as you get more familiar and comfortable with the process?.

And I was just going to finish my 5th run tonight and finally enjoy my mod. Now I have to consider waiting for MEHEM v0.4. This is a very good problem to have though.

Heh, I've been sitting on doing another run until v.4 comes out so I can enjoy it (and your own mod) in its entirety

Hadn't realised v0.4 was so close. it's like waking up to find out it is nearly Christmas. Now i need to get a import ready to experience it with a full run.

But back on topic, this time I'm not promising anything as not to disappoint, if anyone was particularly bothered that is, however once my schedule has settled down a bit and I know what I'm doing I will try to begin work again. This could very possibly not be for another few months and like I said nothing is guaranteed though since I started I will try to finish.
So once again sorry and if you need to contact me posting on my wall should work until I properly start work.

@Deager, iakus & wright1978: By "a couple of weeks" I do mean just that. It's not like it'll be out next week or so, there is still too much to do for that. Also, there won't be any thematic changes for high EMS players (just the visual, audio and bugfixing stuff). I am just saying, don't want to hold up anyone's playthrough /especially if they want to go for the Citadel Epilogue mod).
TheTallSpartan: No need to apologise. We are all doing this for fun and if there is no time to work on it, I don't think anyone is going to blame anyone for it. At least I hope not.
As I said above, I still want to make the LI scene plugin kit, once v0.4 is done so maybe the delay is a good thing. Personally, I have to admit, I like to leave Shepard's personal future to the imagination.

Oh, don't worry about me being bored while waiting. I recently discovered mods for the Baldur's Gate games, and those ahve taken over my life in the last few weeks

I for one, am so grateful for what you did for v.03 and playing through to the end finally, and getting what we all wanted..and getting a hug from LI Liara..I am in my Uniform at the memorial, not melted suit, so I am still bruised, and blood on my face,I don't care , its the ending you gave us, or hope of new beginning in our minds, that matters most for me..For now it is a game that can be replayed. .
Your right the rest is in our imagination..It makes the game replayable, so whatever you do, in v0.4 is icing on the cake...as far as I am concerned,. Sure I wish Miri and Jack could be at the memorial and get rid of jacob, sorry never liked him, and James and put those two instaed..So my playthrough with them as LI also got more than, them in a backdround slide, we all want a hug from them to..
However, no matter what you can and cannot do, you are a 'biotic god' as far as I am concerned, and I will ever be in good cheer, because of MEHEM, can't wait to see what you have done..with v.04...
Of course you did fire up my addiction to this game to now play every , build, carreer choice and rep, etc..from ME1-ME3 and to feel the difference, before I was not motivated to do that, and just keep stopping, in ME3 , after last LI scene and save quit, and never ending the game..
So..Good on mate..good on.
I lift a pint ó Murphys to ya..Cheers..
Sláinte (Irish pub toast actually, loosely translated(, just to say good health,& good luck to ya)

I did have a suggestion during the ending (and please stop reading if you haven't played it yet), there is a point where someone is saying that they have Shepard after the Reapers are destroyed - I was wondering if that might be changed to Cortez. In N7: Communication hub he says something along the lines of "I have Ms Soto, heading to the rendezvous point. I don't know if Ms Soto could be spliced with Shepard, but I thought it would be nice to have him rescue Shepard from the Citadel.
Anyway, wonderful work!

@aeryn333: Thanks, I appreciate the support. Cheers mate! (Australian salute
@Reciprocity82: Thanks. It's a good suggestion and when I first created the mod, I was actually looking at this sound file. Two problems here: First, splicing in Shepard seamlessly, while probably possible is not easy to do. I can never fully get rid of artifacts when combining sound clips (but maybe someone else could). But more importantly, we cannot use Cortex here because it is possible that he is dead at that point. For the same reason, you will not see any character who might be dead (with the exception of EDI) during the videos. If I were to make his appearance conditional, I'd have to package the entire 100 MB video twice. It's a bit much for one line. That said, this line will change in v0.4.

The fact is even though it's possible BW could have made something more than this, they couldn't and wouldn't make something as good as this.
And the other fact is they owe all who worked on this and on the citadel epilog (changes made to citadel to make it playable as an epilog) a big thanks. I still say it's too bad BW couldn't just have a change of heart (now when much of the dust but not ire) has settled and use this as a model (it uses mostly existing content) and do a player's choice edit for consoles.

I'd just like to see them support their modding community in the future to make it easier for fan-created content to be produced. The work that has been done has not been simple in any way. It took a lot of tinkering and trial-and-error. Instead, release a game and let the official portion play out but THEN release modding tools so the community can keep life breathed into it as they wish. Win-win.

Aye Aye to that..It keeps older games forever alive, its why Bethesda with all its frist release bugs, the community doesn't get so angry they know the modders like the great ones at the Nexus, awesome community, has kept the games alive, and then some. Will fix. it.. from Morrowind , Oblivian, Skyrim, will live forever through modders, modding tools...Creation kits..you go back and play them years later and new mods come out that make the experience, and game world even, all new again..Even old graphics in older games made newer by modders..an tools like script extenders, for animations, mod managers, made by modders..2112.rush wrote...

BW..will never understand...in the end, what keeps customers in the future, is what they do for them now..
let the modders take over, after all the patches they finish with, the modders even fix what patches oft mess up..
If BW adapted this policy..instead of holding onto their game ending their way, and making modder creation very difficullt without a Creation kit, in me very long gaming expierence, aye ..modders Will find a way..
It seems very egocententic of BW to me..Its our way, and our way alone,..Will be remembered by the fans.
iI it wasn't for people like MrFob, and the Citadel party mod at the end, and all those who gave us, choices, with extreme difficulty..The game would just die..Perchance that's OK with places like BW.. its not Ok with the fans who shell out the money to their franchise..
Sorry for the ramble mates.I rarely post, but when I do, its something that touches me deeply... that comment just made me even more grateful for the modders, so dedicated here, that are finding ways, despite the difficulties, yet with a creation kit, and script extenders, for animation, think of what could be done for this game..By the Goddess were all lucky we got this, at the very hard work and dedication of the modders here..
Ad astra per aspera...how true...and fitting..
I leave yous with your amasing work now..
Cheers mates all of yous..

actually yes. It is hoped that in MEHEM V0.4 this will be implemented. The idea is that if you have low EMS... Well, fob hasn't been specific but he has implied pretty much total defeat. High EMS gets you the general "happy ending" idea you see todayGIEV DIZ PEEPHOLE AEYR wrote...

If I undersood this right..It shouldn't be much of a problem for anyone to reach, if you do all your missions, especially if you have Omega DLC, which increases it allot, and Leviathan DLC..It will be real hard not to miss the galactic readiness you need for MEHEM which is an altered Extended cut DLC, which lowered it anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem for most of us…
