I think I've asked this before but I don't really remember. Ok, so I probably haven't played any Mass Effect game for almost two years now, I used to play ME1 and ME2 very frequently, I had lots of playthroughs in both.
Nonetheless, after ME3 came out with all its issues, not just the nonsense ending, I just couldn't bear it, each time I tried to play the games I'd be thinking about how ME3 would screw everything up because it was just so unlike the other two, with its autodialogue, fedex quests, lack of atmosphere, nonsense ending, etc.
So, finally, my question is this. Is it worth it to try it out again? I honestly don't know if I'd be able to look past the game's problems.
With MEHEM, yes!! The "Citadel" DLC is also a must-have.
I was in the middle of my first ME3 playthrough when the ****storm started about the endings. I held out as long as I could but ended up watching a vid on youtube before I completed my game. Boy howdy, was that a mistake!!
Like others who have commented before me, I was about to remove all ME games from my PC when I heard about MEHEM and how it brought a better sense of closure to the trilogy. I wanted to try it but the initial instructions to install it terrified a technically-challenged relic like me. Wavion's installer, though, took care of that problem.
Thanks to MEHEM, whenever the mood strikes me to start up a mega-playthrough I know that it will conclude on a hopeful note and not the unmitigated doom and gloom that made playing ME3 more like a chore.
So by all means, install MEHEM and fire up ME3. You might like what you see.
