I'm sure Fob has mentioned this, but it's been a while since I checked in so I would have no idea what page it's on. I'm just wondering what kind of updates I can look forward to in v0.4?

Since I'm aware of certain things I'll just copy some things MrFob said. I can tell you simply, I'm looking forward to v0.4.

And about 21 days ago he said:
Yes, v0.4 is still set for the next couple of weeks. I have stopped showing off my progress with the videos for now to keep some surprises but I am getting closer and closer. :)

And about 9 days ago he said:

Hey everyone, just a quick update. Work on v0.4 progresses nicely. For the last 2 day I've been setting up the game to do a low EMS ending and fortunately everything worked exactly as I wanted it to, which is quite incredible, given the amount of files and objects, I had to shift around to make it work. I am glad because if there would have been bugs introduced by this, it could have taken 2 weeks instead of 2 days. I still need to make the actual videos for it but the hard part is done. Also, most of the high EMS visuals are in place. What's left now (apart from the low EMS vids) is a lot of audio work and a few loose ends to tie up here and there. Looks like sometime in October it will be ready though.

Don't forget the return of Star Kid, whom you must now challenge to a Dance-Off via the new QTE Shepard Dancing mini-game, in order to trigger the MEHEM ending.  That's really the main addition, actually, I'm surprised you left that out.

???

I'm pretty sure Fob already stated this publicly - back when he was saying how the tools aren't advanced enough to add new content like missions, but that he had figured out how to dynamically control the flow of cutscenes with a user-controlled keypress... but, whatever, MrFob say the word and I'll redact the comment.

Nah, your right pf course wavion. Why do you think it took so long. My original statement about this is somewhere between pages 10 and 170 but it's in the middle of a huge post somewhere. The only thing I had to change in the meantime is that it's now a singing and guitar playing contest which require a guitar hero controller.. I am just assuming everyone has one of those (why wouldn't you). :D

Seriously though, thanks Deager for recapping. The main updates are:
- Enhancements with new scenes for the high EMS ending
- A new low EMS ending (which I am currently working on)
- Choice between the old and a completely new soundtrack
- some bugfixing
- Some other stuff which I don't want to spoil, partially because some of them are secrets to discover.

Also, v0.4 will have some "invisible" improvements which make it the basis for planned add-ins like IHJ's Harbinger project and the integration of Deagers Citadel Epilogue mod (if possible).

Cool Fob, I'm looking forward to it coming out this month. I got a new and more powerful PC so I had to reinstall everything awhile ago. Has it gotten any easier to install the MEHEM mod? Cause I remember it being quite the process.

With Wavion's installer, it's downright easy.

Sweet man. Having this mod and then having Citadel DLC pick up right after with Deager's mod installed would be perfect.

Just a question, is it possible to change the ending slides music when Hackett begins talking? I've always thought that should have been more like ME1's and ME2's after ending music.

Something sort of like this at 5:23.

That is, unless this has already been thought of and implemented in the new version.

EDIT: one final thing, I don't know about anyone else but defeating the reapers was a victory even if it was at a great cost, this should be reflected, I don't feel that soundtrack in there does a good job of that and of course this should only be done if it is possible.

Ok, let me get this straight: You installed ME3 from scratch (delete the folder and everything, even the config files in your documents folder, then install from Origin). Then you installed all the DLC, you own via Origin. After this the game worked. Then you installed MEHEM v0.3 with the installer. And then your game gives you the message that it can't authorize DLC. Is this what happened?

EDIT: If you haven't tried it yet, try this procedure because it sounds to me like some of your files are seriously messed up. Just make a backup of your config files in the your documents folder before you delete it or you will loose all your saves and all your achievements. Mind you, I am not sure why this procedure should be necessary and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone else. Origin's repair function should restore all corrupted files but if nothing else works, sometimes you just have to hit things with a sledgehammer.

Here's a extremely in-depth analysis.
The firsh glitch was that the slides wouldn't play correctly. I uninstalled the mod, updated everything, no dice. Then I turned off-auto update. Then I tried to uninstall completely, and something got messed up. I've reinstalled it, complete clean slate (except my profile), as in I needed the CD's to install. AND IT STILL GIVES ME THE MESSAGE!  I know its not the mods fault because the game worked perfectly up until recently.I'm also getting a image of the Earth burning before the "press any key to continue", but I don't know what it means. I think Bioware doesn't like that you wrote a much better ending, MrFob. In all seriousness, I think Origin is the thing causing the issue, but it could be that I moved ME3's data to my desk-top, which could change the file data format. But I deleted it, so I just don't know.

What is this?

Essentially, a project that I started on march, that gives Harbinger a better ending. You know, "I take off, you'll never see me again, Sheppard", was not a good ending for such a charismatic villain.

So, i when I read the Marauder shields comic, I decided that was too awesome to just be a comic. The result, WIP right now, is a video with hand-made animations using UDK that reflect Harbinger's fate.

I hope the animations will satisfy the players. I've put hundreds (not sure of how many hundreds, I can only tell that "beyond you can count" xD) of hours on it, starting from scratch, to get the current (and final) version.

MrFob, Cfs3Corsair, Deager, CommandBenX, BDelacroix, Wavion, my GF, and many others give me a hand during this trip, with quality testing, ideas, suggestions, audio files, textures, models... or just courage to finish it.

The colaboration list is endless ^^

The result, well, I hope you all will like it when its finished

There is a trailer, buried on this thread, of it. You can watch it HERE  I must warn you that this trailer was made on the version 8th of the video. And that my narrative english will make you cry. The final production one is the 11th, so graphics are vastly improved, considering that the 10th was final minus post-processing and bug-fixing.

8th version was intended as the "first complete", the first version that had all the essential scenes to mount the video, and that's why I decided to use it for the trailer, even when I was finishing the 9th when it was made.

Hope to finish it when the VAs remaining send me the files... :crying:

I saw one of your completed versions. A pity it is no longer accessible, but I suppose I'll live, seeing as it was rather awkward watching some blank (silent) dialogue moments.

They're removed at the moment until final version arrives =)

These versions were "mute" on the scenes where the remaining VA's should act ;)

The very last version was completely mute minus some effects.

Good work. It brings to mind the ending of the Confessor series (also known as the sword of truth). There was an enemy who was really quite awful and there was much made about him but his end was rather ignominious as it should be. He wasn't nearly as important as he made himself up to be.  Kind of the same thing the return of the king did with the pink orc.

The main updates are:
- Choice between the old and a completely new soundtrack

Does that mean I get to hear the original credits song with this mod? If so that's great news. That track is basically only thing I liked about Bioware's ending.

It means you will have the option of music during the Citadel rescue and the Crucible firing.  Either the "Suicide Mission" track of the earlier MEHEM incarnations, or new music created by Sh0tgunJulia specifically for the mod.

The credit song is still the same, I believe.  But I don't mind, I love "Reignite"

That is disappointing.  I was not a huge fan of having the Suicide Mission track in there.

Patiently waiting for the finished version to be shown, but really looking forward to what you guys have in store.

I'm not exactly fond of that too, but if you ask me I really don't know if  I want to hear the original theme, as good as it was it was also rather depressing.

Agreed, while Suicide Mission is an awesome track, it just doesn't fit with the ending. Julia's soundtrack is also an awesome track, though like the Suicide Mission, it just doesn't fit in some parts (my opinion, though I love the end). It is possible to change the credits song with some file manipulation with ME3Explorer.

I've also made my own alternate soundtrack mod, which is in my sig. Great thing about PC, is that you really have the choice in modyfing just about anything you want to make the ending to your liking, That's what MEHEM is to a lot of people. Can't wait for v.4!

And now it doesn't have to be.  There will be the option for a piece of completely original music specifically designed with these scenes in mind. Image IPB

How is switching sountracks accomplished exactly? I'd like to try it.
