So outta curiosity, is the Harby thing always gonna be separate, or will it be integrated by default on v0.5 then, or what exactly?

Not sure yet. I was mainly worries about doenload sizes and such. Eventually, the best way would be to integrate it fully as well as the CEM (if I can make that work, still don't know it). I'll be able to say more on it when I actually integrated it (which is going to be a ton of work as well). Will know more in a few weeks.

Okay I've put my Photoshop, "skills" to use and re-sized/tweaked the banner so it is now the proper size
(If anyone can improve it even further they are welcome to)

Absolutely great trailer by the way...

I've not yet looked at what high and low EMS actually means here, and I don't want to - should introduce a bit of tension again, playing through and not knowing where I'm going to finish (although I'll need to do something about all my multiplayer assets for it not to be a dead cert).

Hey, thanks again for all the nice comments. :)

@SkullStrife: Yea, sorry. I guess the texts in the trailer can lead to some misunderstanding there. iakus is correct, this is all about EMS. "You think" just refers to what MEHEM users might have thought in the past, that victory was a given, which it is not anymore (although, the low EMS ending will be a bit like Shepard's death in ME2, meaning you'll probably have to play sloppy on purpose to get a low EMS count). Sorry if that seems to misrepresent things. Basically, because I through this trailer together fairly quickly, I just took the first text that came to my mind without giving it too much thought.
At this point, I should probably also repeat something cfs3corsair picked up on the yt channel already. From the trailer text, it might seem like there will be two versions of v0.4. This is of course not the case. Both high EMS and low EMS will all be in one package and the game will detect what you have and show the correct ending for your case.

But one warning right now: v0.4 will be big. it'll probably be about double the size of v0.3, which unfortunately means that we won't be able to upload it on BSN anymore (filesize limit here is 400 MB). I am not yet sure where we'll upload. Our friends at masseffectsaves.com were always happy to host a copy (big thank you for that!!!) but I haven't talked to them yet and I am not sure with the increased sure and all. Most free hosters also have file or traffic limits so if anyone has a good suggestion for places to upload, please post! :)

P.S.: Just to make sure, my inquiry above doesn't mean it's ready yet, just thought I'd ask in advance. There are still a few things to take care of and some testing to be done (still looking for that medium EMS save btw).

Thanks for your answer ^^ Even if it is a shame that there is no IT, I still love the ideas behind this mod and will abolutely try it when 0.4 comes out ^^ nice work!

Nice! Thanks CommanderBenX. By the way, while I look at the "Ad Astra Per Aspera" on the banner, I am just wondering if anyone picked up on my little play with the phrase in the trailer. ;)

@SkullStrife: No problem. I'd actually love to make an IT mod (I was a believer until the first infos on the EC came out) but I think it would require additional gameplay or it wouldn't work. Unfortunately, that's beyond our modding capabilities at this point.

Yeah you switched up the words so it translates more to "Through the stars, to peril"

I don't know what limit my service provider allows. I don't have a lot of traffic on my domain, the bandwidth for the last year is measured in kb/s.

I have the professional web hosting account which appears to be unlimited bandwidth.

Let's put it this way. They advertise the service I have as:
Unlimited Domain Hosting
Unlimited GB Hosting Space
Unlimited GB File Transfer
Unlimited Email Accounts

So I'd be willing to give hosting it a go until they complain. Perhaps as a mirror.

I have no web site made up for it, but ftping it to my server shouldn't be too hard. The domain name is rather long. I have never used the subdomain feature but I could try to set up mehem.redstone-atlas.net and use that.

EDIT: I just made the subdomain and made an extremely generic index.html page for it.  I don't know if it requires a few days to propagate.

EDIT #2: The best info I can find says 4 or more hours for subdomain propagation cross the DNS servers.  I'm a control systems software engineer, this web stuff is just something I played around with to gain some familiarity with it.

Propagation has gone through, the website works.  It doesn't do much right now.

If you still need a medium destroy save, I've got one. Came across an unfinished save earlier, so just went ahead and rushed through to the end. Image IPB

Mr Fob,

I have been excited about the MEHEM since i first learned of it with the release of v3. With a v4 being promised I held off on including it in my game play, but right now I am probably on my last complete playthrough of the ME saga and have sort of timed it for the release of v4 so I can include that in the final play through. Thank you so much for your efforts, to me and obviously to many others, you are bringing us the ending we always wanted from this beloved story.

I eagerly await the announcement of v4.

Good to see it was picked up.

@BDelacroix: That sounds great. Thanks!!! Yea, I think a mirror would be good to have. I guess our main hoster will be moddb, since they allow enough space, traffic and everything but it's definitely a good idea to have some extra links, just in case.

@McBlade223: Perfect! I friended you, so we can pm about the save. Thanks!

@linkslvr: Glad to hear it! :) Shouldn't be too much longer now.

The amount of downloads per day is pretty amazing for a game this old. It'll be interesting to watch the downloads when v0.4 comes out. Yeah, I'm a numbers guy and I find it entertaining.

Oh, I have the space no problem.  My only concern is I've never tried to host anything popular on my site.  The specs say it should be fine.  If you try the web site right now, it just comes up with text saying :

This is a placeholder for MEHEM v0.4.

Perhaps I'll get a wild hair and do something fancy while we wait for release.

That's cool BDelacroix. I'll contact you when the time is nigh. :) Thanks!

@IHJ. Haha, that's hilarious, though sadly it didn't work for me when I tried it. Doesn't google prioritise results according to your previous searches or something? Maybe you have been searching for MEHEM too often (if such a thing were possible :)).

It does. People are getting different search results for the same search terms.

DuckDuckGo is one search engine without this behavior.

Well, I still direct people to the series now and again when asked about games to try/play.  I always point them to DEHR and the ME series (insisting that they should, must, start with ME1 to get the full story and fair exposure to the main characters).  So I am responsible for a trickle.  A mere dollop.

And with ME I ALWAYS point them to MEHEM as a must.

@MrFob

By the way...just finished looking at the video on the new moddb site and I was thinking...

I had been considering giving a shot to creating an animation to depict combat scenes intended to occur between the point where Shepard and his squad leave on the final mission on Earth and getting to the beam. Something to "flesh out" the desperate nature of the fight, showing that a LOT was going on besides what Shepard was doing. As I imagined this, I was thinking of promoting Conrad Verner, the dweeb guy, into an actual full hero. I pictured a quick scene of him helping an injured buddy while fighting off hoards of enemy. Then I saw your video cut scenes and saw a spot where that would work just fine. There at timepoint 6:34 are a couple soldiers alone fighting off approaching baddies just before the red explosion comes through. What if the guy without the helmet on were to be Conrad?

Just a thought. I thought it would be a perfect development for him to go from creepy fan in ME1, to faux Shepard in ME2, to actually heroic in ME3.

The problem (and only proble, since I actually like the idea) is that he can die off camera in ME2.

Ah...poopidoops (sorry for the strong language :-). I hadn't known he can bite the dust. That complicates it but perhaps one of those "look for a switch setting" dealimabobs, akin to looking to see if you have Leviathon, what main characters survive, etc, could be used.

I'm still entertaining the idea I mentioned above nonetheless. It's very complex, having to create whole (though very short) combat scenes with lots of enemy, rubbled terrain, allies scattered around, etc, and it would still include Conrad somewhere being a true soldier/hero, all bloodied and still fighting. It may never happen - I've only gotten to starting to learn to animate Tali a bit. I'd want to show brief bits of all the main characters in their own desperate straights (Jack with her kids PLUS Miranda covering her back, Liara and Ashley, etc).

MrFob's cut scenes of the ground battle just refocused and reminded me of it all anew.

As an extension to all this I keep picturing one image, during the end with the slide show depicting the various locations/races rebuilding, etc, where in this one Shepard and Conrad are shaking hands on the Citadel before a memorial to the war, soldier to soldier...

Hi
I'm doing my third ME playthrough and now that I'm in the third I really wanna try this. First of all, thanks MrFob for your work. If I download the file in the OP will it work with the game with all DLC installed? Also, I'm spanish, but I'm playing the game in the english version, will it be any problem with that? Thanks

Edit: Is it compatible with windows 8?

The game should work fine with all the DLC installed.  Leviathan is the only one which could cause a hiccup, but the installer should detect if you have it or not and run the fix for it.

Edit:  I have Windows 8 and haven't experienced any problems
