Ok, I uploaded an archive with the files for those who want them for whatever reason. I still recommend using the installer.
Here is the link.
Note, ADrive states that they limit downloads to 10 concurrent ones. If this doesn't work for you, just try again a few hours later. It should be mostly fine though, I don't think too many people will need this archive anyway.

Just tested the manual version in-game - after I done derped once during the replacement-progress; needed to do it step by step rather than all at once with EC-sfar as me3explorer otherwise threw an error - and can report it works fine, with clothing, unscarred face-texture for Shepard and custom romance-edit applied.

Splendid work, all things told. The emails, especially were a brilliant touch (spoiler: Emily Wong LIVES!). They are properly linked to the plot-flags of the different war-assets, I take?

I wanted to add a short aside here to address intentionally losing or bad choices still making a good story.

For an example, read the book "The Wreck of the River of Stars". Individually, lots of fair or seemingly good choices, but the title of the book gives away what happens anyway.

Just a quick question, since this is the first time I installed MEHM:
Is Javik suppose to disappear from the memorial scene at the end if you have all squadmates one can have in the game (James, Liara, EDI, Garrus, Tali, Kaidan/Ashley, and Javik)?

EDIT: Additional info - Tali is my Shepard's LI, so she tends to take EDI's previous spot in the scene whereas EDI takes Javik's normal spot in the scene.

Well, this was answered (and buried) in the thread.

Let me explain: The editor does not allow to add character slots on that scene, so MrFob had to replace an actor with sheppard. The most obvious choice was Javik, as he don't share "primitive emotive weakness".

Is a complete technical issue, and has no solution at this point.

A little announcement: "the progress at my end is going well"

:innocent:

Alright, though my next question would be if there's a way in the ME3Explorer to replace EDI with Javik instead?
(since in my mind, EDI is technically the ship and is already present at the memorial, lol)

@Chashan: Nice to heat that. Also glad you like the emails. :)

@AVPen: Yea, so as IHJ said, this is mainly a technical limitation. I had to cut one character to put Shepard in. In v0.1 this was still EDI by default because she would just be replaced by Shep's LI. However, this caused many people to ask whether she did die after all (like in the destroy ending). So it was necessary to show beyond a doubt that she was still around. Javik seemed like the best candidate for the cut, not omly because of the character but also because people who don't have "From Ashes" wouldn't even loose anything. You can find a tutorial to get him back here. No one has tested this with v0.4 yet but I think it'll work. I don't think I made any significant changes in this part of the mod between v0.3 and 0.4. Let us know if it works.

@Kotl: Oh yes, forgot about the intro scene. I actually tried to change it but it would just have taken too long to mask out the Normandy's cockpit in that cinematic and I quite liked it with Joker in the foreground and the Dreadnought coming in in the back. I tried to replicate something similar for the low EMS endings but I can only do it in in-game situations and unfortunately, Joker doesn't have idle animations on the ship (just stand behind him on the bridge and you'll see he sits there like a mannequin). I wanted to put more scenes in that connect the Normandy interior with the exterior, something I think isn't done enough in the ME games (for good reasons, but still). Just didn't have the time for it.

Just did a test, and yep, those instructions still work for replacing EDI with Javik in v0.4.

EDIT: As a sidenote, I really enjoy the new emails created for the mod, helps add more to the experience of importing a Shepard all the way through the series and seeing certain characters reappear via email (unlike BW, which felt the need to only kill off or render unimportant those series' side characters through email instead....). I still haven't exactly made up my mind how exactly I feel about the MEHEM mod as a whole, but one thing I think would be kinda cool is maybe make a seperate "email" mod featuring the new mails created for v0.4.

Hi MrFob! Thanks again for 0.4 ;D

Just a quick reply about something here, trying to say it without any big spoilers :P You know the Gianna Parasini thing... After I did that, I can't seem to quick save. I mean, I have a habit of pressing F5 to quicksave every now and then to make sure I don't lose any progress should anything happen. For some reason F5 is not doing anything now, and I'm pretty sure that was after the Gianna Parasini thing. Could you or anyone else here please also test this out ? If it's just me, then ignore this post ;D I can live fine without F5 because normal saving is working as usual, but wanted to make a reply as well in case it was a bug I have discovered.

You're talking about the mail, I guess?

Just loaded the auto-save that's created prior to Cronos after finishing the game - not sure if that's any bearing on it - and I did not encounter that bug after accessing the mail.

Ok, just have to say it. Just watched the videos while downloading the new mod, watched the high and low ems endings and have to say this completes it, along with the citadel mod for the high ems. The low ems even makes me want to purposely mess up my game just to see that play out. It totally fits with the bad and the good ways the game could play out as I saw it. Great job, all of you. Thank you so very much for this.

@AVPen: Thanks, good to hear it works. An "email-only" mod would require a bit of work, simply because I put the text of the new emails into the place where you'd usually find the subtitles for the catalyst conversation (see here for a funny screenshot :)). So I'd have to reorganise the the tlk file to keep everything working for the normal game. In principle, it should be possible to do though.

@PolBear: I am guessing you are talking about the spectre terminal thing. I just tried it here as well and everything works for me (including quick save). Must be something else that causes this.

@3DandBeyond: Thanks. Yea, I was thinking about including a low EMS save but in the end, the ending really only works well if you are aware of how badly you screwed up before. :) In any case, when you have the mod, check the emails. One of them should really be read before seeing the low EMS ending.

Heya! No, not the mail itself. It's after you've visited the spectre terminal at the Citadel, following up the Gianna mail.

EDIT: Thanks for reply MrFob. Yes, that's what I was talking about. Thanks for testing it, then it must be something on my end :)

Hey MrFob, I really want to change the music of the Mod to something of a Two Steps From Hell Extravaganza. Is there a special program/tutorial for how to do that?

This seemed like a start with his tutorial video but I'm curious if MrFob has something better written up somewhere since the process is a bit more manual with DLC files. Fob, if you don't have anything written up specifically for DLC, I suppose I could give a tutorial a try, since I learned a bit about audio file work.

That tutorial Deager linked is the only one I wrote up and the only one I am aware of. It is specifically addressing music replacement for DLC though. I guess one could improve it by adding screen shots or make a video. Never had the time so far.
IIRC, the first part of MEHEM (the Overloard battle music if you use the old soundtrack) has no entry in the wwise sound bank of the BioSnd_End002.pcc. The second part and the credits music have it though.

Since it was mentioned, I'm also interested in asking this. Is it possible to replace music from the extended cut? I want to replace the track that plays in the epilogue when Hackett starts speaking, I just can't stand it and it doesn't seem fitting to me.

MrFob, I'm actually playing around with trying a new soundtrack. I'm looking at your tutorial. Quick question. Do you HAVE to do the wwise crap? Can't I just convert the files to .ogg and rename them to .wav?

If this is the bit to get the file ready for import into the game then yes, you have to use WWise to get the game recognize the file format properly. I haven't done my setup in a while but I think it was a somewhat older version of WWise as well. At least, when I was using afc_fileswitch to import wav files and ogg files I got nothing until I realized I was forgetting to use WWise to convert.

Also...I know what song you'll use for CEM v0.3 as well. ;)

After getting frustrated with trying to mod the MEHEM soundtrack, I think I'm content to leave CEM as the author intended. :)

@wavion

Mods are meant to be modded. I'll take a look at those instructions for MEHEM but since I noticed some HEX stuff I'm pretty sure changing music for CEM will be much easier. I'll take a look this weekend at the latest.

Good news. This is certainly an advanced modification to the game. Not even easily put into a tutorial I can tell.
