Wooaah niceSeriously, in technical terms, how did you manage to accomplish this? Because this is mind blowing.
Really hope to see this in MEHEM v0.5. Two thumbs up for your work!
A-frakkin'-mazing.
As to the how - cycling out Traynor, by the looks of things; partying with Gabby no doubt -, would this be in conflict with adjustments made to MEHEM Fob posted here, among others?

Hey everyone,
I am trying to run MEHEM with texture mods. I have some texture mods installed and working, however, after installing MEHEM and running the TOC.bin updated in ME3Explorer the game starts up as normal, but all the modded textures are now totally black (I suppose not loading). Uninstalling MEHEM returns the textures to normal. I have tried the whole process a couple of times over.
Has anyone ever run across this issue?
Thanks
I did a quick web search to find these posts which are about 20 pages back. So, please bear with me a bit if I missed some of the discussion between there and my response.Vomifares wrote...
I may have found a simpler fix for the
black textures/textures not loading issue. I installed MEHEM, reverted
to a backed up, older TOC.bin file, ran the updater in ME3 Explorer and
the game booted up with modded textures, and the ending worked fine.
So
the issue I and another user above have been having may be a
problematic TOC.bin file. This may be worth a try before reverting the
game to vanilla, installing MEHEM and then installing textures mods.
Looking forward to 0.4!
We're currently testing the final build for ThaneMOD and building the installer. I experienced this myself upon installing MEHEM. In retrospect, it also explains some of the difficulties our testers were having with the ThaneMOD textures.
The black textures occur because MEHEM installs a new TOC.bin file, and that new TOC.bin file lacks a CustTextures0.tfc entry. All new textures refers to this entry, so no existing textures will work after installing MEHEM.
What's more, is that updating the TOC.bin manually, with the CustTextures0.tfc still in your CookedPC, will not create a new entry for this file. I actually did 3 separate TOC.bin updates after installing MEHEM, followed by ThaneMOD files, then JohnP's files for the Memorial Scene (I loaded the game after each step to ensure the game still launched, no authorization issues, etc). Therefore, anyone who has an existing CustTextures0.tfc file in their CookedPCC, will no longer have the entry for that file in their TOC.bin after they install MEHEM.
I was wondering how folks dealt with this, and it seems perhaps a lot of you don't use textures. Our mod does, and we're currently trying to figure out how to deal with this complication, as far as making things as easy as possible for the user. I ended up doing the same thing as the player above, but for our users, I'd like something a bit more...foolproof, lol.
What I really want to know is why the TOC.bin updater doesn't create the entry within the MEHEM TOC.bin file, despite the CustTextures0.tfc still being present in the CookedPC. But, that's probably a question for me to post on ME3Explorer

The TOC.bin updater reads in the files currently in TOC.bin and checks the sizes only. It does not scan the Cooked folder and add missing files because AFAIK there are files in there that do not appear in TOC.bin by default.
I've used AK86's TOC.bin editor to add missing CustTextures files.
For MEHEM, after installation, you can delete the PCConsoleTOC.bin that MEHEM installed, rename the backup (BUP) file it made of your original, then run TOC.bin updater.

Ok, this saves me from posting on ME3Exp. Apparently it doesn't work the way I thought it does. From what I can tell, the only time new files are added to TOC.bin (CustTextures0.tfc, for example), is when the file is created, or maybe when it's updated, as well. Therefore, you can't just drop a file into the CookedPCC and expect it to be scanned and picked up by TOC.bin. It won't be.HelixSpiral wrote...

This is good to know, I was about to look at it. Thanks.HelixSpiral wrote...

This is what I did, unfortunately, it's not going to be the easiest way for our users to go about this. What might work is for us to have ThaneMOD install a different TOC.bin file over MEHEMs that has the appropriate entries (with the wrong sizes) and then have them update from there. Updating is something our users will need to do regardless.HelixSpiral wrote...

My goal is essentially to make the procedure as simple as possible in an effort to reduce confusion and potential error. Therefore, removing that small step, even, would likely be helpful.

Perhaps the latest me3explorer can help. In texplorer is a new menu entry for "rebuild database". It should eliminate the need to delete me3explorer and all subdirectories, install anew and run texplorer from zero.
Does that require vanilla DLC-.sfar to be in place?
Ran it through once, threw an error at 1000/3541 scanned, at about a Zaeed.pcc in EC-sfar. Currently re-running it from start, taking its time...

An option would be nice, but right now you can edit a file and have Shepard heal/cleaned up:symbiotics wrote...
will there be an option in the future to choose wether to have Shep's bloodied face? it seems weird that he had time to put on a suit but his face is still all bloody

3rd post. Only difference from that old instruction would be to extract the file and edit, instead of unpacking MEHEMv02.rar.
Edit: btw, the Jack & Miranda mods look awesome.

Building tree.bin always requires a fully vanilla install, or you will get errors, as far as I know. Ottemis' blog post is pretty explicit about that.

That would work. It doesn't affect the game at all if there are extra files in TOC.bin, which there are by default (all the localization files are present even if you don't have that version of the game).
Thanks for the verification. I'll test that on my system to double check -- that info about the localization files is pretty handy.
Thanks again

I know Fob is pretty busy until February or something. I do know that it's not forgotten by Fob or IHJ though.

Nope, is not.
I'm preparing a little surprise, prior to the release. :innocent:

A lot of the DLC is great and no, I'm not trying to sell my mod to you. I've enjoyed any mod which increases the story of Shepard. Great universe and characters they made.
