Ah, day off from work. Trilogy run #8 is now at the beginning of ME3. The best part is I know I don't have to talk with that catalyst kid and can instead really enjoy the ending!
MEHEM - the Mass Effect (3) Happy Ending Mod - No more star kid, no more deaths and a reunion

One question. If I have to repair my game through Origin. Am I gonna loose my Happy ending? Because I would hate to have to re-download all my mods and such.

You'll have to reapply MEHEM and other mods you may run, yes. Good thing is that, whichever method you used before to put them into place should work again.

@DreamAnjel: As Chashan says, you'll have to re-apply all mods. Don't forget to run the MEHEM uninstaller before repairing/deleting game files. Also, don't forget to repair your DLCs as well (at least EC and Leviathan for MEHEM) and to deactivate Origin's auto game update feature in the Origin settings (see FAQs, linked in the OP for this and more info).

Thank you for getting back to me. That is what I thought, just didn't want screw things up by doing it wrong. ![]()

Hey guys) I absolutely love your mod)) Red Ending with everything cut out definately looks better than all that things Bioware made) The only concern I have is...well...voice acting. It sounds so off. ^ ^"' Are you planning on making a better voice recordings in the future? Or should I just clench my teeth?)
Oh, and Shuttle scene. There's Mars there. ^ ^" Is it possible to make it Earth or it's part of the video?

You're using one of the earlier releases of MEHEM - the latest v0.4 release uses a brand new video of the Normandy flying to the Earth, created by MrFob and crew specifically for MEHEM.

I'm gonna try. The full version works with this right now. The lite version isn't working at the moment for some reason. I'll look into it and if I can't figure it out I'll ask for help on the me3explorer forums.

SO.... I just played through the entire trilogy for the past 3 weeks and I just beat ME3 and will do another run here shortly. On a whim (and have been following the MEHEM for quite some time) I decided to download and watch the mod v.04 ending.
I have to say the mod itself made me feel more accomplished and choked up with the LI (Liara) and anything else the original extended ending made me feel.
I myself did not mind the extended cut ending but there was something missing and I could never put my finger on it.
I have played ME3 many times and I knew was I expected from the MEHEM since i watched many MANY videos on it; seeing it with my Shepard and my game made me feel like it was much more then just watching it on youtube.
Granted there were some cheesy reused dialogue, but I can look past it just for the scene at the end with Shepard putting Anderson's name on the wall and hugging my LI.
I truly do hope that improvements are made in the future to further polish this mod. I do not think i will be uninstalling this for quite some time.
(I have not read this entire thread to see if thats true, however I hope so!)

Hey everyone, just wanted to point your attention to this new development with the ME3Explorer. SirCxyrtyx has made an overhaul of the sequence editor, which makes it really easy to alter many aspects of the game flow of ME3. So if you want to mod MEHEM or any other part of the game, you can now do so with relative ease. Just try it out and experiment a bit. Don't forget to make backups and you have nothing to worry about.
Happy modding!

I realize this isn't supposed to be a general help forum, but I had a quick question for the more experienced modders out there. I've stated before that I am a pretty big noob when it comes to modding, and so I simply was attempting to revise all of the war assets to numbers that I felt were more logical. When I went in to change the war assets for the Leviathan and Omega DLC's, now when I start up ME3, it says that it cannot authorize the DLC's. I unpacked the .sfar file and changed the war assets in there. I made sure to replace any changes made into the .sfar before saving that file. I then manually changed the toc.bin file in each DLC to correct the size of the the .pcc file that I had just updated. Am I missing anything with regards to modding DLC like this?
PS: I apologize if I might have mis-wrote somethings, as I am still pretty new at this.
PSS: While I'm at it, does the high EMS ending for MEHEM kick in at 3100 EMS? Just wanted to double check, as that's what I was basing my war asset number revisions off of.

Someone else better at modding may have a different suggestion, but I would suggest avoiding the dlc war assets all together and just mod the vanilla one's. You can get well over what you need just with those. The DLC's tend to be finicky when you mess with them.
I don't remember what minimum ems you need to get the best ending, but I always make mine a bit outrageous anyway.

I realize that you can get more than enough EMS from the vanilla game, however that is not my intention. I was attempting to revise the numbers to be more "logical". For instance, it always bugged me that a squad member could be 25 points while an entire Alliance fleet was only 90 points. So Miranda is as powerful as over one quarter of Hackett's 5th Fleet?
Anyway, I appreciate the response, and I may just have to re-install the DLC's and give up on it, as you probably are more experienced than I am at modding haha.

Yeah I feel ya, I kinda do the same thing with the points I just keep running into trouble with modding the dlc's. But that's just me, if you can figure out a reliable way to make it work please share. ![]()

Now that ME3 is easier to mod, I was wondering if anyone has ever thought about modding the 'fleets assemble' sequence? One thing that always jarred for me was that Geth ships are not visible in that sequence at all, even though they 'report in'. Would it be possible, perhaps, to mod the sequence so the Geth ships can be seen alongside or behind the Quarian vessels? There is also a pause after Joker says the Geth have reported in, maybe a short scene could be inserted there? Just a thought, for my favourite sequence in the entire game!
