Hi, thank you for making this mod
, enjoying it great deal
. I like to asked are you planning on making a control outcome without the star kid? For me I like to see my Cerberus Shepard go for this option without the star kid involved but I know there a another endgame mod JAM that has this option, wished both where merge in someway without star kid. One thing I like to asked at the end of control ending you see Shepard come out the light wearing n7 armor, wished shepard came out wearing some kind of reaper outfit then n7 one. Also how do you change the outfit shepard wears at the end (alliance outfit to something else)? One thing I really like to get rid of old guy and kid scene at the end of credits, how do get rid of that - hate the scene.

Thanks droid105, glad you enjoy the mod. To answer your questions:
- I think making a MEHEM without the star kid but with the control ending would be quite the endevour since you'd have to come up with a way to explain what's going on. With the destroy ending it's easy because the crucible just destroys the reapers, which is what everyone was hoping for anyway. That doesn't need much explanation. However, Control is a bit more complex and if you skip the star kid, who explains it in the original, you'd need some other means of explaining what's going on.
- IIRC, Shepard's outfit during the control ending is specified in that pcc file, so you'd probably have to make a texture/mesh mod to to change it.
- Changing Shepard's outfit during MEHEM's memorial scene is possible with an easy HEX edit. Check out the tutorial here.
- On that same page, linked in the last point, further down, there is also a tutorial
on how to skip the stargazer scene. I was told though that the v0.5 version doesn't work. I'll have to check into that and fix the tutorial (may take a while though, I currently am not at home and don't ahve access to my files).
Hope those answers help. ![]()

G'day guys,
Ok, I should probably preface this by saying that this is not really my preferred ending for several reasons (I rather like the MEEM mod myself) but lot's and lot's of people have been asking for something like this on the forums, on youtube and via PM so I thought I'd sit down and try to do this. It took me about 4 weeks to figure everything out and make all of this and I burned a couple of barrels of midnight oil in the process but it's finally done. So, this one is for you guys. I hope some of you will enjoy it.
I uninstalled the game more than 1 year ago, so i never got the chance to test the mod, but for what i have seen on YouTube recently, you have done something amazing.
I sincerely thank you for that.

I was wondering if i have installed it wrong as i did again have to go through the ec story and i realy don't like it but it might have to do with having all dlc's now which i didn't have before? Besides that every time i start up the game it keeps asking me to see if all dlc's are correct and with that it referes to mehem. *ponder*. Neither did i have a reunion *sniffle*.

So I tried to uninstall this mod today just to try one game with the original EC ending after Leviathan, but I'm wondering if it deleted a video file or something that uninstalling hasn't fixed. What happens is that right after Anderson dies, I see the subtitles of Hackett talking to the Commander saying the Crucible isn't firing, but I hear Joker getting "strange readings" and Shepard telling him to go. After that, the HEM doesn't trigger because I uninstalled it but it seems to have lost Hackett's audio and now won't trigger the normal ending either, leaving me frozen with Anderson staring at the Illusive Man's corpse and completely unable to move or even get to the menu.
I was able to wait there for a while and then somehow load a later autosave after exiting the game via Task Manager, but when I did it essentially had me floating at the end with no catalyst, and all I could do was have Shepard hover his way to the synthesis beam which then triggered that ending. It seems likely that there is just a video/audio file that is either removed or not being linked to, but I haven't found anyone else with this issue googling so I'm curious if anyone here can help me. I can still watch the endings on Youtube and the rest of the game works fine but it would be nice to not have this mod's remnants prevent me from ever experiencing the original end of the game with my own Shepard again. Thanks for all the work you guys have done creating this and I would really appreciate any troubleshooting anyone has to offer!

@mxwilkinson18
Was the EC ending with Leviathan attempt with a new game or a saved game just to see it? If it was a saved game, at what point in the game was the save from? It's possible that a save too late into the ending would have some issues; although I though an autosave after TIM or before would work ok.

Well I'm not entirely sure haha. A friend installed the mod for me cause he wanted me to try it, and I didn't remember uninstalling it but when the issue first came up I tried to uninstall it and it turned out not to be installed. Then I installed the 5.0 version, reloaded from during Priority: Earth, and the HEM worked perfectly. Uninstalled using the uninstaller and the same issue cropped up. So I am pretty sure I played the entire game with it uninstalled (I also never received the emails added into the mod), so I don't think changing a save was the cause. Not an expert on this stuff though so I could definitely be wrong

Hmm, sounds like you may have to do the traditional vanilla of the game. Meaning, uninstall the game, delete everything in the <mass effect 3 install directory> and install again. Not sure if you have a backup or not, but I have a feeling a reinstall of Mass Effect will be the way to go, then the game should work normally.

Alright, I'll give that a try later today and see if it works for me then.

I have a small problem. Awhile back I got a new hard drive (SSD) and today I felt like playing ME3 again. I also installed the MEHEM v.0.5 because I won't play without this mod. Anyway, I started a new game (me3 import) and it was unplayable, kept freezing every 5 seconds or so. Sounds were okay. Uninstalled MEHEM and game went back to normal. I have EC installed, no others mods and I'm using windows7. All ideas are appreciated.

I can't even imagine why that would happen. And obviously you have a clean install since it's a new drive. I'm guessing you've installed MEHEM again and it's right back to being unplayable?

Mass Effect Andromeda is to release holiday season 2016. While it appears, so far, to be completely removed from the original trilogy, I remember at some point the devs said it might not be a bad idea to hold onto our current save files.
This leads to the obvious. Mehem is not considered canon by Bioware. Therefore, this leads to two issues. First, will it be possible to use a mehem save without the "flags" conflicting? And second, would it even make sense in Andromeda's story?
Obviously we don't have enough info right now. But it might be something worth considering in the future

I feel so incredibly stupid right now. I installed MEHEM again today after I got back from work and same thing happened, completely unplayable. Then I went to check all my Origin settings just in case and noticed that the automatic updates were on. I didn't even remember that I had turned it on at some point because of DAI. The mod and game are working fine now. I'm sorry to have bothered you with something which I really, really should've realized by myself. Not my finest day, truly. ![]()

Soooo... Question that could be up for debate for quite a while.

From what I recall, MEHEM tags it as the destroy ending. So, anything with Reaper tech would be gone. Geth with upgrades, EDI...I guess Shep did not have Reaper tech, eh? Anyway, if they use the saves at all, it should work properly. I still think they'll pass and not do it though. We'll see.

In the Destroy ending, all synthetic life is targeted, which would mean all synthetics everywhere, regardless of whether they had Reaper tech or not. WIth a high enough EMS, I suppose the blast isn't bad enough to kill Shepard who is only "partly synthetic"
So assuming MEHEM detects as a plain old Destroy, and the choice imports, I wouldn't count on encountering the geth or any other true AI native to the Milky Way.
Now if they did something like they did to modded Kaidan MShep romances from ME1 and had ME3 acknowledge that, that might be cool.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a way to keep the original game soundtrack for the ending with MEHEM installed?

Not that I know of. Part of the issue is, I think the timing of things is different. So even if you could from a technical standpoint with audio, you'd still have to change the length of the movies, which would probably mean editing the movies.
Now, if you did mean keep the credits music only, there's sort of a way, but I don't think that's what you're after.

I know it's slowed down a lot on this thread but I wanted to hop on for a sec and again thank MrFob and all those who helped MEHEM for the game-saver that it has become. Recently reading the YouTube comments for the different character MEHEM videos, so many players have said the same thing: that you made Mass Effect 3 worth playing again. And as one of those players, you will always have my utmost respect and gratitude for not settling for the 'take-it-or-leave-it' ending we were given.
MrFob, please let us know what you've been up to - I'm still hoping that some game company bigwig heard about MEHEM and offered you a job that you enjoy doing...and are getting paid tons of money to do it! ![]()
Again, thanks to all of you. Cheers!

Haha, thanks heaps MageTarot! Fortunately,my day job is very far outside the gaming industry, so I can keep this sort of stuff as a hobby. On the less fortunate side, no tons of money either. ![]()
And I'm sorry it has slowed down so much around MEHEM for now. The problem is, when I do some modding, I usually do it all in long stretches, for which you basically need a weekend or so and where I live, the weather is just too nice and there is too much other fun stuff to do atm. ![]()
So I'm afraid MEHEM v0.6 will have to wait for a rainy weekend when everyone else here is on vacation to get going (especially since I want to implement some fairly complicated stuff with the dialogue overhaul). Oh, also, I have to admit, when I do turn on the good old gaming PC, I am hooked on Witcher 3 for now, so I have to get through that one first as well. But I will get to it eventually.

now i'm in a bit of a pickle... i've spent some time away from ME3 mods, i had a very old version of me3explorer, so i recently downloaded the most current version i could find (uninstalled the old one, etc.), however when i try to do a svn update it either ctds at once, or it starts to download for a second or two and then crashes. it was doing that from the start, so i'm basically stuck with rev653, and i have 2 infinite loading screens (purgatory post coup, and the endgame one) thanks to some highres texture replacers that i have trouble living without. i checked the me3explorer wiki ('bout the explorer crashes), didn't help, at all. i miss me3...
---edit
nevermind, i guess i've just been zombiefied for these last few weeks, unclicking the read-only tag on the svn folder & setting the svn checker to run as admin seemed to fix the issue (don't know why the folder was "locked" into read-only. so i just have to spend 2 days re-vanilla-ing me3 & reinstalling my mods.

FYI incase anyone has not been able to undate the SVN here is the reply I received from FemShep on the Me3 Explorer forum:
"Unfortunately you can no longer update via SVN.
SourceForge broke the update chain and since they also host the repository, we have no way to fix it. I assume the updater crashes due to an unhandled error.
When my updater is done (hopefully tonight) you can use it to update your copy =)
Otherwise you can download 712 from this page (current latest build): https://github.com/M... ... s/tag/r712
click the me3explorer-dev-712.zip file."
I have downloaded 712 and it works great. Just remember to follow Mr.Fob's installation directions. Install MEHEM (and CEM & Extended Anderson Conversation, if you use those) and then build your treescan with 712. You can add textures and mods after that if you want.

Well that didn't work for me. I recently reinstalled the game since I decided to move to w10. When I build the treescan after I installed MEHEM v0.5, it block at the end while analysing a MEHEM file, memorial.pcc if I'm correct. I waited for the treescan like 2 hours just in case, but no, it's just don't want to. I tried reinstall the game from 0 like 2 times to be sure, nothing change. So, I build my treescan before installing the mod, installed the mod then applyed my texture mods only way for me to make it work ^^; Guess the memorial will have old vanilla texture >.<

Here's hoping that rainy weekend comes soon, Mr. Fob. I've decided 0.6 will be the version I finally install and play, so I'm just itching to experience MEHEM firsthand at long last. But I've waited years now, and I can wait as long as I need to for this game to finally be complete for me, so take it at whatever pace you need to.
