If at all possible, how do I get this for my Xbox 360? I hate crying every time I finish the game, and the Xbox is the only platform I am able to play on...

Sadly, no one has been able to find a way to convert it for any consoles  :(

I have to admit I'm at a loss for figuring out the appeal of this mod. Gutting the ending, replacing it with a patchwork of immersion-breaking edits, and making it an even-less-substantial ending than what we already have may remove plot problems but it doesn't really add anything of substance in place of them. Impressive in a technical sense, working with limited resources, but I can't see how it could be called "better" by any stretch of the imagination. The ending not being a happy one was never the problem with the ending.

Oh I accidentally found a solution to the dreams. Don't chase the kid, run to the boundary. The sequence will force you to try again but repeat once more and it will dump you at the end. No need to waste time running about. Going to try it. :D

As I've said a lot.  It removes the worst of the stupid from the endings.  No Starbrat's insane troll logic.  No decision chamber. No lame forced sacrifice.  Just get the job done and go home.

And the "Happy" bit is something of an ironic name.  Everyone who dies up until the Crucible docks is still dead.  Anderson is still dead.  TIM is still dead.  Whole planets have been wiped out.  Thane, Legion, every companion who dies along the way is still on the memorial wall.  And MEHEM still ends with a memorial scene, with another name being added.  And no smiles.

The ending is still bittersweet.  There's just a bit more sweet to counteract the bitter.

Perhaps you'd prefer John P's alternate version then http://www.nexusmods...ect3/mods/265/?.

This mod has an option that leaves the ending pretty much intact, Hologram Kid and all, the big change is that with High EMS Destroy the Shepard breath scene is changed and you get a proper Shepard lives ending, memorial wall scene and all.

As to the appeal, that's simple. It lets you experience an ending where you don't have to turn on your allies, where you aren't forced to follow the suggestions of a mad AI.

Then don't use the mod. Problem solved.

If you came here looking for understanding about why others use the mod, you'll have to stretch that imagination a bit more than you're used to, apparently. Just imagine a world full of people with tastes that may vary from your own. Then that problem is solved.

Because saying goodbye is too hard. I never actually played the original ME3 endings, I was taking my time when the controversy blew up, and despite no tool kits, I have ultra faith in the modding community, so I just put my playthrough on hold. I played MEEM the first time around, JAM, and now I am going to go with MEHEM, I've used the Citadel ending mod where appropriate.

Thank you for making this mod, and to all the modders that worked tirelessly to improve our ME experiences.

Edit, yep, just finished with MEHEM and Citadel Ending Lite, Extended Anderson Mod, some nice tousled hair. I love that the mods have been made into DLCs, so much easier to use. Thanks again, teared up a bit there, heading off for more adventures on the Normandy.

Thanks to Bioware for making the Citadel DLC, so nice to see everyone again.

It seems that now that Bioware Forums are closing down on August 26th, how are we going to continue these kind of conversations? I mean, sure. We have the "moddb" page of this mod and such, but having this forum and talk to you guys here felt more close to me than the other website. What do you guys think of this decision that Bioware made? :\
