I'm gonna make a prediction right now and say that this is probably gonna be the most downloaded mod in the whole game.

Outside of Shep looking like he got run over by a truck while putting up the memorial plate this is pretty damn good

Why? It's just a cheap imitation that is in no way cannonical. I want an ending that is actually aupported by the creators of the franchise.

without being rude: "dream on"

the devs stated, that the endings are final and not to be changed in the future. this immitation is better for certein fans, than the "real" ending. please respect this.

I really liked it! Could shorten the scene with Joker, and keep the original music, but otherwise it's great!
Also, Shepard looks weird standing around in his ruined armour :?

is it possible to let shepard switch to the default normandy casual wear, by altering the level order? ...

implement the memorial scene as a new "level", right after the last scene with anderson and let the still beaten shepard take on casual wear. it could bypass this "problem". just an idear.

please keep the mod up to date. great work!

/salute

p.s. .. does it work with femshep as well?

That would be even harder. The levels consist of multiple files that interact with each other in a very specific way. Changing one is bad enough, making a new one from scratch without an sdk would be incredibly hard. However, the ME3Explorer continues to evolve. If you ahd asked me half a year ago if this mod right here would be possible, I'd have laughed at you so don't loose hope.

Also, yes, this should work for every Shepard (femshep and maleshep). The hugging scene is also specific to your LI/best friend. I only tested it on my two saves though (1 male, 1 fem). I can tell you that if Garrus is your LI, the hugging scene will produce a lot of clipping errors. I could not test Tali but she might have the same problem since both Garrus and EDI have custom animations in the original. I have a plan to remedy that problem though. Updates will come eventually.

Please, if you play the mod and you encounter any error, post here or PM me so that I can address them (if possible). As I said, I could only test this for a very limited number of possibilities and there might still be quite a few issues to figure out.

How about we struggled, fought, lost friends along the way but dammit, we fought to the bitter end. And we won.

Somewhere along the way BioWare lost sight of that.

I will admit, it's got a lot of sugar coating. If you prefer a darker tone (but an ending that still makes a bit of sense IMO), check ot the MEEM mod (as opposed to this one which is MEHEM, oh my naming skills :)).

aye aye ... will do. now i have a reason to replay the mission.

the "produce a level from scratch"- idea as a workaround was spontanious. you did a great job.

come on .. the sugar coating is thin - this is a truly bittersweet ending. no party, no jokes - just mourning the loss of good frinds and comrades. just as it had to be.

and to be honest .. after all the sh*t shepard had to pass through, a loving embrace with the li is totally ok.

if there is one protaginist who deserves to live in peace, it is shepard.

On another note. Is Shepard replacing Ashley in that clip? He seems to have her animation when placing Anderson's name on the board. If so could that not be altered by swapping Kaidan in as the love choice?

Otherwise, this is an excellent version, especially given the very limited resources. If there is one thing I'd like to see included. It would be Shepard's speech in the refusal ending. I am not certain where it would fit but that was among the only "Catalyst" dialogue scene that was solid writing.

Shepard replaces whoever would usually place the plaque while the guy who would usually place the plaque replaces EDI (this is the green memorial scene).
And yeah, the refusal speech was pretty cool but I am not sure where I would put it here either.

Oh yeah, one thing. I am not quite sure yet (still doing some testing) but right now it seems that you have to play this with a save game where the Extended Cut was already installed by the time you started the Cerberus HQ mission. If you load a save where you started the Final mission with the vanilla game, then e.g. saved before the beam run, don't use that. In that case, the cutscenes will partly play the original cut rather than the EC. It still works otherwise but the music will be out of sync for a time and you loose out on the Thessia and Tuchanka win scenes. This will hopefully be either confirmed or fixed in the next update.

See, BioWare? No need for your contrived Catalyst BS.

Just Shepard hitting Ctrl-F-U on the control console on the Citadel and killing the Reapers in the progress would have been more than enough.

Genuinely: well done. And that's coming from someone who has come to appreciate the original endings.

And as someone with a little bit of experience in both programming and film editing, I can see the massive amount of effort you've put into this. I did lose track of things a bit in the extraction sequence - things didn't quite flow perfectly, and the new dialogue was a bit hard to make out. However, other than that: Well. Freaking. Done. You can be proud.

(For my own reasons though, I'll be sticking to the original endings.)

OOI, how long did it take to get that reunion scene working? I appreciated the gratuitous Latin. And btw, the Control ending does briefly use Shepard in his armor - you might be able to get a working non-wounded model from that.

Very good actually, especially having no modding tools built-in in game.
Not that any mod could ever fix ME3 in general, but at least there is no Catalyst, and no complete retcon of ME1-ME2 into nothing which made by it's existence.

Great job!

Well, what can I say, that is astonishing OP. Congratulations! I have a question. Is it possible to add EDI to the destroy memorial scene? She appears in a specific place so any other crew member would be untouched. And is it possible to photoshop Geth slide (remove a Reaper) from Control and put it into Destroy ending? Krogans have a lot of slides in that ending so we can replace one. I don't mind everything else. How hard could it be?

EDIT: Instead of EDI you could put Emily Wong plaque on the memory wall.

Yea, this is the very first time I tried to make a video and I could have easily spent another weeks perfecting it. That said, there are three really issues to deal with in that scene:
1. The lack of source material. You would be amazed how few really good scenes of the ME3 Normandy exist.
2. The fact that I cannot show Shepard, potentially dead squad mates or anything that might be individual to anyone's playthrough. That's why I focus so much on Joker.
3. The timing. I cannot change the Timing of the final music score at the moment so the timing of the scenes has to be timed to the music rather than the other way around.

As for the dialogue volume, yeah,. that needs some tweaking but the problem is, since it is encoded in the video rather than the game itself, it reacts to the sound volume settings rather than the dialogue volume settings in the game. I like to keep the sound effects a bit lower usually. If you have them on full volume, it should be a bit better.

(For my own reasons though, I'll be sticking to the original endings.)

That is a brilliant idea. I totally forgot about that! Thank you very much. I'll have to check out what exactly they did there and see if I can use it for my purposes. Cheers mate!
