Sorry to say, but it doesn't work with Leviathan installed. I had the installation complete to the letter, yet the mod didn't work :(

I was really looking forward to seeing the Mod, but only bits of it worked, and most of it went the same way. While the subtitles and music changes appeared, the cutscenes and voice audio continued the same way, and I ended up in the Catalyst Chamber :( x2

Music change alone made it slightly amusing though, when conversing with the Catalyst. Overly action based music rolling as the Catalyst's drab dialogue goes on and on...

Actually i got a question. Is there a way to find out if the mod works, without have to play through the entire game first? I'm getting the PC version soon, so i'm curious about this. I'm kinda stupid when it comes to modding games, so sometimes i'm not so successful.

Same thing happened to me. I also have Leviathan installed. I had thought that maybe I missed something.

If in original ending was "the click button sequence", it still wasn't enought for the good ending, but it's much more better, then nonsensical Catalyst.

I know, you working only with ingame content and there isn't many things to use for this project, but still for the concept, you're made very good job.

edit:
See again Shepard with Liara mean a lot for me and thanks for that.

Ah, damn, they must have replaced the whole files for the DLC instead of just adding stuff in. It actually makes much more sense as well so I should've known. I am planning to get Leviathan eventually though and I will make an update when I got it (I will definitely wait for Omega though in case there will be more changes in there as well). Just can't really tell you when that's be at the moment, sorry.

No, looks like I'll have to make a version for DLC games. Sorry guys.

I am afraid you'll need a current savegame at the point where the mod starts, sorry.

Thank you so much for this, MrFob. I know I was one of the people bugging you to cut out the Catalyst. You've clearly put so much time and work into this, and I'm so glad the community has folks like you and the ME3EM team.

Oh...

So if someone never had ME3 on PC in the first place, then the mod won't work for them?

Or am i just getting confused? Are you saying i have to play through the whole game in order to see the new content?

Ok nvm, i'm dumb. You meant i need to play the game up until the assault on the Cerberus HQ, save the game, install the mod, and the load up the save to access the mod.

No no, the mod should work fine (as long as you don't have Leviathan). It's just that there is no way to test it other then playing all the way through the game to the end.

You can install the mod and play when and however you like. It should not make a difference. There is only one instance where it gets complicated but that is only if you ever played without the EC which you will not if you just get the game now.

Amazing!

Bioware you could learn from this guy. He just made the ending that will satisfy many, including me.

This is what people wanted!
Everything after "elevator scene" (you know what I mean, star kid, 3 choices etc.) is absolutely useless and it's just destroying whole game and ending.

Thanks for making a better ending! :)

+1

THis may get me playing Mass Effect again.

OP, this may not be your preferred ending, but you have my sincere respect and thanks for this.  You did good, son.  You did good.

Yeah i figured that's what you meant a couple minutes after i made that post. Had a bit of a brainfart, sorry. I'm interested to hear people's experience with the mod who don't have Leviathan. Maybe we'll get lucky and some people will upload their vids of it.

Not downloading Leviathan will be a no brainer for me anyways. I never found that dlc appealing and plus i think it would contradict this mod in a way.

Yeah, I am actually quite certain there will lot's and lot's of bug reports because I couldn't test it for more than two Shepards. No one should be discouraged by that though. I need people to test it if I'm gonna fix things.

Ah, on that note, please post here as well if you played it and it did works as shown in the youtube vids. It will be good to know which instances actually work flawlessly at this point.

Agreed, BW, this is really the ending many of us were hoping we'd get.

MrFob, thanks so much, I'm going to try both mods.

I am gob-smacked.

You have achieved a MUCH better ending (removed the plot-breaking element) and all with using previous assets from past games. BioWare with game-specific tools and the ability to make new assets couldn't do this.

They should be ashamed, and I salute you. This is what was needed.

I'm downloading and trying this mod out of sheer curiosity. Mad amounts of respect to the OP for all their hard work. This is why BioWare fans are the best: dedication!

The download is still in progress, so forgive me for asking (don't have the readme yet), but can this mod be uninstalled? I'd like to have the game back to vanilla state for Omega after trying this.

Woohoo, super cool man, thanks for uploading. :wizard:

I see the clipping is a bit worse for Ash but all in all, I am glad that it works. Also, did I get that right, you had names on the wall that should not have been there (Kasumi, etc.)? That is weird since I did not even touch that part of the sequences. Must be some weird interaction between different conditionals. I'll have to have a look if that can be fixed.

MrFob. Seriously, thank you so much for all the hard work. This means so much to many of us.

We really do have the best of fans in this community, it can be hard to see that sometimes. But you just prove that they're out there. :)

Anyone have a vid with mShenko?

I'm gonna make a prediction right now and say that this is probably gonna be the most downloaded mod in the whole game.

Outside of Shep looking like he got run over by a truck while putting up the memorial plate this is pretty damn good

Why? It's just a cheap imitation that is in no way cannonical. I want an ending that is actually aupported by the creators of the franchise.

Mac and Casey can go eat a dick for all I care.

Wether they support the ending or not is largely irrelevant to me, and I suspect to many people.

They wanted us to "headcannon" the endings? Left it "Open to interpretation"

Well I'm interpreting that this guy's mod is the right ending so I'll be downloading this mod.

MrFob..
THANK YOUUUUU..!!! Did you know that clip made me cry and I have to wait some good ol' minutes before posting a 'thank you' in this thread. Made me regret that I didnt experience this mod in-game instead but I just really couldn't help it after watching Part1.

I should probably preface this by saying that this is not really my preferred ending for several reasons ... *snip*

Makes me feel bad for badgering you to make this version of an ending XD. Sorry.. XD

My head still feels kinda overwhelmed by that "F,YEAH!!" kind of sensation, so I'm having a hard time typing here. Guess I'd better stop before the rest of the post becomes some incoherent text or something awkwardly cheesy or what ever. If you PM me you postal address OP, I'll be sure to send you a teddy bear XD
