And what if Shepard's wearing a helmet? Does Harbinger have x-ray vision in this case?

He did in ME2 :P

Un-verifiable. In ME2, Shepard was the only one going after the Collectors. It'd be obvious who he was just by that fact alone.

It's a very, very minor detail for Harbinger to notice Shepard. Remember, the game is from the player's perspective so they are going to process it from their POV, it's natural to "see" the scene as Harbinger noticing Shepard is there. Hell, he might have intel you came.

I think the atmosphere and vibe of him saying "Shepard" outweighs the "cost" of damage it does to the narrative, which is virtually zero, IMO.

@The Grey Nayr: I got to disagree. I think it makes perfect sense that Harby recognizes Shep. After all, he was after Shep since the beginning of ME2 and it seems that he takes things very personally. Besides, it does make perfect sense that Harby can perceive Shepard. Reaper sensors can surely detect Shep's unique physiology after the Lazarus resurrection and distinguish him/her from other humans. Also, I think if I used the lines you suggest, it would be too much of an ME2 recall. I used this line partly because it's not one of the iconic ME2 lines (and because I think it's one of the cooler Harby lines over all).

@PorcelynDoll: If you wanted them all to play, you'd have to do some video editing. Making only the LI one play at that point in MEHEM would be very difficult because the whole sequence structure, required to select it is not in the file that is loaded at the time this video plays. Also, while I thought about including flashback there, I thought it was a bit pointless since Shepard doesn't die after all and is reunited with the LI in the end. I am not saying it wouldn't fit but for the moment, the cost-benefit ratio doesn't justify all the trouble off an inclusion IMO. Maybe at some later point in time though, when our tools have evolved a bit.

Was thinking - maybe I'll replace Reignite with Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult. : D

Only if a scene is added during Shepard's Rescue where the love interest says "Baby Take My Hand! Don't Fear the Reaper!" -> cut to music

You'd have to do that in the Stargazer scene...unless the credits themselves are a movie file? I doubt it.

Probably just do that for myself and not release it. Reignite is OK, I prefer Faunts there.

Just to clarify - there is no need for me to get the Leviathan fix if I don't have Leviathan right?

I'm asking because something isn't working with my game and I'm trying to fix it by process of elimination. Sorry if this sounds silly.

Here's on PCConsoleTOC.bin, pretty basic for automatic updating but if you don't know it exists or causes problems, you'll get a lot of frustrating crashes for no reason if you edit certain files.

...

@Warior135: No problem, I'm working on several basic ones today and hopefully a more advanced one ultimately when I have the basic ones down. I started with the advanced one and I had too explain too many small concepts on the path of a bigger one.

ME3 Explorer can be hard to grasp at first, and I've had to talk to WV and Fob a lot to figure out what I was doing, so I thought I might as well explain all the information really basically to save Fob and others time of re-explaining it over and over. :V

Hello Mr. Fob

I like EDI so much...
Is it possible to see EDI with the crew together on the Memorial Wall with Leviathan-DLC?

Btw... a fantastic Job Mr. Fob.
I begin to play ME Trilogy and dont know exactly the End of ME3. But I know that Shepard will die on normal Ending. That''s very bad and I don't like this.
You give me a reason to play ME with a new motivation!
Thank you MAN!!!

If you followed installation-instructions for both MEHEM-proper, the Leviathan-fix and the hotfix for EDI - in case you have gone for a playthrough with more casualties among your crew; it still came up for a number of people in that case - you should be good to go; I applied all those myself, and as you can see in the yt-video by Fob and from a screenshot in the one album I uploaded she is there with the crew. In Javik's place and stance even without From Ashes present, for whom it would only be plausible to either get stone-drunk upon victory -  - or to go head out for the resting place of his comrades right away with his purpose being fulfilled.

Have fun playing the campaign, at any rate. I know I do again with this mod applied - did not really touch it again following first playthrough and viewing EC on YT, just MP...now, my ratio of MP-SP play is quite reversed...^_^

Thanks a lot for putting this up, easy-to-follow.
I take it this is mandatory for any type of edit, including VO-files? If so, I just may have another go at that post-Mars dialogue with the VS again...

Here's one on sound replacing in DLC without screwing up authorization.

No problem, I like helping other people do cool stuff. : D

IIRC it doesn't care if you change .bik file sizes, but if you mess with .afc or ,pcc files, which would be affected by VO files, you would need to update PCConsoleTOC.bin for it to actually work.

Did succeed with that, after several times of stupid me forgetting to save the changes in explorer prior to doing the update. :pinched:

Only problem I ran into was dialogue being cut short, despite the length being identical down to the second in that particular segment for Mr and Ms Shepards' lines. May try and adjust that somewhat. Then again, even ME1 had a number of dialogue-files affected in a similar manner, even in standard-dialogue as I noticed on a current playthrough, and overall I consider this less immersion-breaking than madame switching to Sheploo's voice. :P
May try and see what happens to "silent" lines when modified in that manner. Thanks again for the heads-up.

well .. shepard is the only "half-robot" on the battlefield ..

ok .. thats thin - i have to admit.

but ... the reapers are searching the extranet (perverts)... that is a fact, that can be found within either the codex or a planet discription and you can be sure, that they are listening to com traffic. qeds are secure connections but standard military communication and codation is easily breakable for a reaper.
the normandy joined the battle and one thing is sure ... wherever the s**t hits the fan, shepard is not far from it.

i say we can be sure that harby knows who it is fighting.

Yeah, I like those banners that don't pass judgement by saying 'Shepard deserved better', but instead focus on the fact that we simply like the MEHEM. Those new Garrus banners are slick.

If there is ever a Xbox 360 adaptation to this mod I will download it in a heartbeat. Until then...High EMS Destroy for me I guess. Well done on the mod regardless

Hey PK, just wanted to say GREAT job on the tutorials so far. I was always too lazy to make and upload screenshots. This si a great entry for people who want to start modding ME3. You should definitely make a new thread about it here so people know that there is a comprehensive tutorial out there.
Just one thing, I am not sure if I understood you correctly there but in my experience it is very important to update the PCConsoleTOC.bin with the correct size of changed .bik video files. Maybe the authorization would work (idk) but for the videos to play correctly in game, you have to adjust the PCConsoleTOC.bin. In general, I'd always adjust it for everything you do, just to be on the safe side.

@Jenaimarre: What's the problem? We could solve most issues here in this thread so if you can't figure it out, feel free to ask here. And no, you don't need the fix if you don' have Leviathan. In fact, you wouldn't even have the folder in which to replace the files for the fix.

@Veronica Shepard_: As Chashan says, e sure to download the EDI fix (link in OP) for the slides. Otherwise, no problem. EDI will be there.

No problem. I might post a thread when I finish all the ones I have planned.

I was talking to one of the developers and they said something about .bik not mattering - I was of the same understanding as you. That bit's not in the tutorial though.

Yeah, I adjust everything too to be OCD .Wait to avoid wasting my time.

Wait, what? You spoke to one of the devs about modding? Or do you mean the devs of the me3explorer?
Regardless, for playing biks properly in game (at least in the DLCs, updating the PCConsoleTOC.bin is definitely required, I screwed up my game more than once because I forgot :).

Also Chashan, I'm glad that helped you out.

If you keep getting dialog skipping, experiment with like cutting a very, very small amount of dialog out just to test - to make it a _bit_ shorter than the original line, even if it's like a few miliseconds.
