I'm actually kind of tempted to get ME3 for the pc because of this....

Sometimes I hate being a console player.

Nice one.

Now to have a version for madame Shepard, and this would be complete, and more than just on par with official trailers...

I have been thinking about doing this, a friend of mine sometimes plays the game over at my place and she is playing a female shep, so when she is done I MIGHT (definitely not sure) make one for the female shepard =D

Ok, so I know I've already thanked the creators for this excellent mod, but I just finished ME3 again with this mod...and words alone cannot express my utter glee in how this ends the series as opposed to...well, you know. I know what I'm doing when I'm off for the holidays...ME1-3 lol.

Does this mod need a fix for the Omega DLC as well?

MEHEM still doesn't support Jack/Miranda romances, right?

As in those two being present in the stead of a crew-member consoling Shepards? No, that seems to not be possible at the moment.

MrFob did hint at new slides being added in, though, in place of the standard ones to drive the point home that they reunite, however.

No more than the current endings do, sadly.  But I thought I heard that something was in the works for v3 to add something for those romances.

I respect the opinions of those who don't like the endings, but in all honesty what this boils down to is just wanting Shepard to survive/reunite with LI and the Normandy. This fanmade ending adds more questions and is only meant to satisfy the emotional side of the ending. For christ's sake, it takes cutscenes that have already happened and/or clearly don't belong in that battle. Totally only meant to satisfy emotion and not logic.

Which is fine, but please don't act like this one makes so much more sense and at least admit you only like it because shep lives.

As was mentioned here, plans are in motion to replace those with custom-made ones. Another thing to consider: whereas BW has a full development-studio of professionals at their disposal, this is fan-made, as you yourself say.

Then, if we go down the route of "logic"...pardon my saying so, but a simple BFG sounds way more elegant, in a simplistic sense, than the questionable appearance of the Reaper's supposed leader and its "mandate". Not to mention the ways of activating that iteration of the Wunderwaffe.

If I have to choose between an ending that makes no sense, but makes me happy, and an ending that makes no sense and makes me depressed, I'll take the one that makes me happy.

That said, this ending makes at least as much sense, and arguably more, than the endings we got.

All I'm saying is unless whoever's making this mod plans to go back through the entire game and take out the things that hint or have anything to do with the canon ending, it'll have more plotholes than the current one. but that clearly doesn't matter to people who just want to see Shep live and reunite with the crew.

It's as simple as comparing it to The Governor and Penny from TWD. All emotion, no logic.

Edit: my comments are a simple observation, not trying to say who's wrong and who's right.

One of the - justified - key-complaints about the finale is that "foreshadowing", if it can even be called that, of the "intelligence" is next to non-existant. And vague like the little that is there is, even including Leviathan, it works surprisingly well to just leave that creature out of the loop...
As I put it somewhere else: the fact that the thing's entry into the plot is so divorced from everything that came before can ultimately be seen as a favour - removing it is to remove an isolated...nuisance, the absence of which I hardly miss.

"Nuisance" may put it too mildly, at that. As someone so eloquently put it in this thread, with MEHEM, the

"narrative does not commit suicide anymore in the last few moments."

Subjective? Possibly. But then, this modification is as much a matter of choice and preference as the vanilla-ending scenario is...;)

I think you're injecting your assumptions into what people like and not doing a very good job of analyzing the actual edits themselves.

There are no lore changes - only a successful Crucible fire. It's almost identical to high EMS destroy, in which Shepard already lives.

It's not damaging to the coherence of the narrative to redact a character who shows up in the final minutes of the game and interjects several confusing plotholes about his own motivations (why let you destroy him). Not to mention the actual execution of the scene itself happens too fast and is an immersion breaker at the most pivotal choice in the game.

MEHEM is all about subtraction of elements to make a coherent whole.

The reusages of scenes is a limitation from modding, not a desired final product outcome. That is a limitation hopefully overcome with time and hard work.

As for being a simple observation - whenever you begin a statement with "this is why these people must like this, contrary to what they wanted us to believe, all emotion, no logic," it's going to come off as pretty condescending, even if you tag on at the end, "this is my simple observation."

I don't understand why some people are bothered others are happy because of an optional mod they don't have to install. The ending is discussed on the spoiler board every single day, most BSN users have thought about it more than enough to figure if they'd like something like this or not.

Not really only three things point really foreshadow the scene in the crucible. Prothean VI on Thessia, the Leviathans talking about the intelligence, and TIM talking about using the crucible to control the Reapers.

-Prothean VI only vaguely mentions a master controlling the pattern which leads into-
-The Leviathans talking about the intelligence they created. Nothing says you actually have to meat the intelligence, you can assume it has merge itself with Harbinger and is now housed in the Reapers superstructure. Glowboy being on and part of the Citadel removes the plothole of him not activating the Citadel relay back in ME 1.
-TIM is indoctrinated and shoots himself, there's literally no reason for Shepard to do a complete 180 in considering controling the reapers anymmore since glowboy is gone. Sub plot ends with TIM dying and control being an indoctrinated pipedream.

but that clearly doesn't matter to people who just want to see Shep live and reunite with the crew.

Edit: my comments are a simple observation, not trying to say who's wrong and who's right.

As stated above it removes quite a few plotholes as well by getting rid of the Catalyst as character all together. Can't really fix the argument scene with him much wihtout recording new dialogue, removing him is the best option as a result. So it's not just the emotional scene of the reunion that works, it's not perfect but closer to an actual fix to the narrative inconsitancies that I wanted.
Your obesrvation is wrong.
