Also, did I get that right, you had names on the wall that should not have been there (Kasumi, etc.)? That is weird since I did not even touch that part of the sequences. Must be some weird interaction between different conditionals. I'll have to have a look if that can be fixed.

Why? It's just a cheap imitation that is in no way cannonical. I want an ending that is actually aupported by the creators of the franchise.
Mac and Casey can go eat a dick for all I care.
Wether they support the ending or not is largely irrelevant to me, and I suspect to many people.
They wanted us to "headcannon" the endings? Left it "Open to interpretation"
Well I'm interpreting that this guy's mod is the right ending so I'll be downloading this mod.
I get it. It's kind of like your bird died and you couldn't accept it, so you decided to tape the dead bird to its perch and play a mix tape of bird calls while crying.

'Ad Astra Per Aspera' on the wall is a beautiful touch, its perfect This is all I ever wanted for ME3 ending. Thank you so much for making this mod.
Cheers, the "At astra per aspera" line actually has multiple layers of significance. Just as a Latin phrase it roughly means "to the stars with difficulties". However, it is also the phrase on the memorial plaque for the crew of the Apollo 1 at launch complex 34 at Cape Canaveral. I thought it was very fitting here because the name "Shepard" itself, according to Casey Hudson, is a reference to the first American in space, Alan Shepard.
Also, it helped that the phrase has just as many letters as "ADM DAVID ANDERSON", which makes the modification of the plaques mesh much easier for me (btw, I was lucky that ADM DAVID ANDERSON also has just as many letters as COMMANDER SHEPARD on the other plaque. Makes me think BW did this intentionally because they wanted someone to mod the ending
Lastly, "at astra per aspera" is the motto of the state of Kansas but that doesn't really have anything to do with anything.
EDIT: The second link still works though, right? I wouldn't read too much into it btw, I think dropbox is not really made for public downloads and has very low limits. Still, it was pretty awesome. Didn't happen for MEEM

Your memorial scene change is really interesting though, is there a way where you'd be able to seperate it from the rest of the mod, just so we can get a hug in the destroy ending?
If no, not problemo, it seems like you really put a lot of effort to this mod and you still get my support.

There's no reason to hate something that you don't have to pay for and isn't shoved down your throat. I still prefer just EC destroy ending but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate OP's hard work.
Besides it's a much better reminder for Bioware than all these sh*tty fanfiction theories and hate threads spreading through BSN like a disease.

ME3 had many flaws but it was that ending that has so far kept me from replaying the series. It's not perfect obviously but with this, I may finally replay the trilogy without feeling like it was all for nothing in the end. Great work OP.
And BioWare take note: It took 1 person 4 weeks to make major improvements to the ending. Something your team failed to do in double (or even triple?) that time...

I am going to reinstall ME3 at the earliest opportunity and test out my saves. I've got one at Priority: Earth, and one that was waiting import to ME3. The first is with FemShep and Garrus and the second with ManShep/Miranda, so that should let me see how bad the clipping ends up being.
Also, if a hug doesn't work with Garrus, is there a way to use some of his animations from earlier in the game, like his handshake on Menae?
One more thing to clarify--the EC requires starting from before Cronos Station. I understand this mod uses EC content, but I can just start from Priority: Earth right before the beam and still see the modded content?

first:
while i personally dont like the control or synthesis endings (i find it disturbing to give away a big part of societies self determination), i respect everyone who does - as long, as they keep a friendly tone. i certeinly do.
i wish, that the people who dismiss this mod as "disneyesque" or "sunshine and rainbows", respect the feelings of fans, who did not like the original ec-endings (with the ai) or choosed destroy.
this ending is a bit more sweet than bitter, but the bitterness in the original destroy ending gave lot of people belly aches.
this mod is a fanfiction - a damn good one. nobody is forced to play, watch or comment it, nor is it forced on us by biowares writing team.
thanks for listening.
about shepards armor:
- the squad members are wearing their "casual" outfit during the scene. maybe you can find a hint in their code lines.
- is the beaten up armor a part of the model or just an "outfit"?

Since you're able to insert new slides, maybe there's some artists that could draw slides of Shepard getting extracted from the citadel (something like a squad of N7's carrying him out). That way it's a bit clearer what's happening during the rescue. The voiceovers could use some work as well, but I'm sure there's plenty of good voice actors in the fanbase that could send some audio recordings to you

I cannon a rescue with Mouse, Bailey, Liara's father and Kalisa(sp) finding Shepard and Anderson (alive) on the Citadel. They administer medigel and then the Normandy picks the group up and meets up with the rest of Sword at the rendevous. I think the Normandy fleeing the Mass Relay explosion is silly. The rest of the armada didnt have to and clearly the Normandy wasnt the last ship to flee Earth space.

I am not rewriting models or animations here at all. I am using what is already there in the green memorial scene. Since the animations are made for EDI, they fit ok with humanoids but Garrus is taller and has this ... uh ... rather extensive chest so it clips through Shep. I don't know if I can change the animation easily (I don't think so, at least for now). My plan is try and avoid the whole issue by routing you into the blue memorial (instead of the green) if Garrus is your LI so the hug is simply avoided (it seems to me that Shep and Garrus are usually pretty reserved about their relationship in public anyway so it would kinda fit). I am not sure if that will work though, I anticipate a couple of problems already but I think this is our best shot.Sable Rhapsody wrote...

I am curious to see how it works for Tali though. Edi has custom animations for those two (Garrus and Tali) but Tali has a more humanoid shape so it might still work.
BTW, one might now say that maybe I should route everyone into the non-hug ending no matter what but I think especially for Liara, the hug just really works well so I will try and keep it wherever I can.

Ok, this is a bit complicated. If you started this playthrough with the EC, you are fine. If you had the EC already installed when you started the Cronos mission, you are fine. If you played this Shepard up to Priority Earth without the EC (e.g. back in March), the EC will still work with the vanilla version of the game BUT NOT with the mod. My recommendation in that case is to load either your after-ending save or an earlier save and restart at cronos station. Hope that is clear enough, it's a bit difficult to explain and I am actually not sure what exactly causes this problem as of now.

Sorry but I won't be making partial versions of this. If I start that, I'll never be done
However, I plan to post some tutorials on the ME3Explorer forums next week. As it turns out, once you know what you are doing, changing the memorial scene is surprisingly easy so with a few tweaks and a proper tutorial you could probably do it yourself in a reasonable amount of time.

Yeah, that's the situation I'm in. Thanks for the clarification.
As for the hug, I think clipping or not, it's nice to see Shep and his/her LI get one final moment together. I've ignored worse clipping for the dress mods in DA2, I can handle a little here

the original ending is still inside the game.
my guess is, that the ec-dlc data is loaded the moment you start at cronos station.

Don't say that until you've seen it.
Maybe the easiest solution for your save is to play through the game to get a post-ending save. If you have to do that, be sure NOT to mod the game until you played through it for the save. If you have the mod installed and try such an old non EC save like that, the game will freeze after the stargazer scene and you won't get a post ending save.
Dr_Extrem wrote...

Not quite, it will play a weird mix of EC and the original endings. It still shows the epilogue slides and the memorial scene but e.g. the exploding relays are the old ones.
I believe there are some checks in the beginning of the red ending that determine whether to use the EC or not. I haven't found the right switch yet though.
