Wow, this might actually get me to replay ME3 which I was convinced I'd never do. Great job and keep going!

Yes indeed, i am plarying again ME3 because of this mod, i have 4 Shepards coming from ME1 that i left behind just bacause even after the EC DLC and Leviathan all the effort goes to nothing with the normal endings.
This mod is really impressively done and integrates smoothly with the game, i really like it and congrats to all the people involved developing it, and most importantly, thank you!

As the same script on ME3 preaches:
"He's (TIM) wrong... dead reapers is how we win this" Yes, this is the proper ending for the game for me.

Even though I still prefer my headcanon and writing it, it's still good to have something in-game that makes me want to play the games afain instead of facepalming and wanting to sell them.

nothing can beat the personal headcanon ... but its good if something ingame comes close to it.

Well i back on forum, a couple of days ago, and i finnaly get here, i didnt played this mod yet, but whatever see setence which INLCLUDING WORDS "HAPPY END" this have to be good, i will definitely play this, and maybe this will be reason for my first replay game? hmmm....?  Because untill now, i so much hate bioware ending, that i can't force myself to play again this game, because one way or another, in the end, all my efforst are for nothing, but with this mod, maybe my enthusiasm will back again :)

btw. about the Extended Cut, now endings looks a lot better, but i'm still not satisfied, i wanted see in the red end shep is alive and how normandy's crew find him, but still i got this scene when shep gasp for breath, so somehow i can stand it :)

And it is the best thing to read as far as I am concerned. Always love it when people start to enjoy the series again :).

Also, new PCCObjects look really exciting. Why does this have to happen when I am far far away from my equipment?!?For modding abilities in the game, this is absolutely fantastic. One step closer to my personal dream of modders actually making small missions for all the fetch quests in a few years time :). As for MEHEM, I tried to work with some prototype version of PCC object cloning before but it never worked because I have to introduce new stuff into DLC files. The main problem there is the DLC authorisation checks that really don't like it if you mess with certain aspects of the files that need to get changed if you want to add stuff into them. Not sure what this update did in that regard. I'll have to ask AmaroK86 and test stuff when I get back. But anyway, exciting developments for sure!
Oh, and happy new year everyone!

Hi there

I've finally got around to watching the youtube clip of the MEHEM (I play on Xbox - so no downloading for me) and I have to tell you I'm impressed.

I felt deeply let down by the original endings but I love the EC, I think the EC allowed the endings that Bioware intended to come to life. For me ME3 is an outstanding achievement because it is as close to art-as-computer-game that I've ever seen.

Art should have it's own life after being revealed to the world. It should be open to interpretation and discussion. This is why I think Bioware have succeeded with ME3 beyond their wildest imaginations. With all the discussion and debates on these forums and beyond, we can see the process of art being appreciated by its audience. IT is a compelling theory, Synthesis contains beautiful symbolism, Refusal stays true to many of the game's themes etc... Which of these are the true ending? It doesn't matter. This is art, and the point is to discuss, interpret, appreciate and create something that works for you (translation - headcannon).

True art should be owned by the audience that appreciates it. Art should inspire creation. You've created something quite wonderful here MrFob, thank you for sharing it with the fans.

You are already a god in my book MrFob, but if you manage to show Shepard evacuating an Elcor from Dekunna or one of the other fetch quests.....:o:):D:o

A belated happy new year to Fob and everyone else in this lovely thread :) If modding can make the fetch quests feel like more than a few lines of text, I will be the happiest camper ever.

I just watched the one of the endings again, boy they sure are depressing. I have to say that the thing that makes everything way better for me is the ME2 track in the mod.

Also, just another question, if my EMS were to be low, would I still get the screwed up destroy ending in which well everything is destroyed.

if you have low ems, earth is toast and you get the according hackett-speach. there is no reunion at all.

mid and high ems play out as usual.

sidenote: is it possible to modify mid ems to the state, where edi and the geth die? turning it virtually into the old high ems destroy - only with the reunion? ... it would turn high ems destroy into a real reward.

I have said it a many pages ago but I agree to a point.  It is not a "happy" ending but is certainly a more "positive" ending.

Anderson dies, and compared to how you play others die too. i.e. Mordin, Thane, VS, etc.  So you still get that feeling of loss.  But it also gives you hope for the future in the memorial scene.

it's still bittersweet.  It just has a bit more sweet and considerably less bitter.

I installed everything according to the instructions, installed the Leviathan fix, and the game freezes on the loading screen when you make it to the Beam going up to the Citadel.

Can't figure out why.

This is gonna sound mean, so I apologize in advance. Just so you know, when I tend to criticize, I speak my mind and don't hold back. Because to put it frank, i'm not good with finding fluffier words to use to prevent people from getting offended. So here goes.

There is one thing that takes me out of the experience of these fan made ending videos, and that's when the creator tries to voice act and adds his dialogue in the game. The storm team segment of that one fan made video, sounds so bad and out of place. It sounds exactly like someone adding their voice to the game, and not like something that belongs in the game. I felt the same way with the Captain Fob character in the MEHEM. That's the only thing that felt out of place.

Now Mr. Fob i'm not saying i hate you voice or anything, in all honesty it's your creation and if that's your way of leaving your mark, then by all means. It isn't that bad though because it's meshed fairly well with the scene and music, but at the same time the dialogue isn't coming from an experienced voice actor. See what i'm saying? At the same time though, Captain Fob's dialogue is pretty crucial to the ending, so it's kind've a necessity. I guess what i'm saying is that when you finally come back and continue work on the mod, perhaps you can explore different possiblities, or try some different takes of the dialogue yourself?

Again sorry if offended anyone, i just wanted to give my two cents on that. I don't want to come off like a snob here.

I kind of feel that way too about that line - it makes sense for it to be in the game, but "Fob" is a really unusual name and the take could be improved. It's not awful or anything, but it does stick out like a sore thumb for me.

sorry for the late answer .. just having my "good morning coffee".

let me get my checklist ..

- did you install every file correctly? (nothing to be shame for)
- did origin update you mass effect after you installed the mod? (this causes such problems)
- did you start a savegame after you initialised cronos station? (you have to play through all parts of the ending - including cronos - to make it work)

those are the usual problems. i hope i was able to help you out.
