Thank you Seracen. I hope this will be of some use for the console players who cannot install the mod unfortunately and they'll have plenty of choices this way..

As for the posting habits, I wouldn't worry about it. I do hope they closed the IT thread because people went off topic and not because it was a small circle that posted there. I mean, threads are called "topics" after all. IMO the whole point is that those that are interested can post there, those who are not don't have to bother with it beyond scrolling down to the next thread. Anyway, I think this thread is productive enough as it is despite the pause I have to take at the moment.

I seem to have installed this correctly, I think. I installed the mod and then the leviathan fix as written in the directions. I watched the video of this mod and my ending plays out the same, except for the fact my Shep dies. Instead of seeing Anderson's name on a plaque, it's Commander Shepard.

I am praying the Readiness Rating isn't a factor. I got my rating to 92% from 50% last night in mulitiplayer (took me hours -.-) and it didn't change the ending. Here are my endgame stats:

Total Military Strength:6079
Readiness Rating:90%
Effective Military Strength:5471

I got the same ending twice with low readiness rating and high. Does the readiness rating need to be 100%? Is my EMS too low? I did skip some quests along the way. I didn't install the v0.2 since I have the leviathan DLC. I used the v0.1 and then the leviathan fix.

So, is Commander Shepard putting up a plaque that says "Commander Shepard" on it?  That's a new one to me.

As long as your EMS is at 3100, it should work.  You were well past that, so I doubt that's it.

You should be able to use v0.2.  The LEviathan patch works for that as well.

I haven't heard of that happeneing, looks like you're still getting something of the original ending, as it should be Shepard there, not Liara.

You could try installing v2.  I didn't get anything like that with it.  You'd also get the added benefit of some of the improvements between the two versions.  Don't know if it would help with your issue since I have no idea what's causing it.  You should start from a save before Cronos Station if you do that though.

I got it to work!  I was kind of scared but I went ahead and installed v0.2 over what I had and the ending played out just as I'd hoped.  My Shep lives!  Such a small part fixed from what I had but it made all the difference in the world.

Oh my god thank you SO MUCH for this. I play on PS3, so I can't install it myself, but even just watching a youtube video of the most recent version (with a shep who looked similar to mine, and Garrus LI) provided at least some level of catharsis.

aye .. the repair option overwrites apr. 3,5 mb of data, that is relatied to the ending. if you dont reinstall the mod, the ending crashes.


i only install mehem when i hit the ending (right before activating cronos station) - this saves me a lot of reinstalling.

Am downloading the MEHEM mod now, I think you guys might have redeemed the series for me... to all involved I take off my hat and bow deeply. I have seen it on youtube and was surprised by how easily it could have been fixed had they just skipped the whole catalyst deus-ex ripoff that destroyed the entire atmosphere in the game.

Thanks again and keep up the good work. We need guys like you to prove the gaming industry and their 'journalist' lapdogs that some out there will not just eat whatever artistic and lied about sh*t they put on your plates. Nothing says "NO. F*ck you" like improving the theme of the game by simply changing it yourself and sharing it with the world.

This could be put more tactfully, to be had. However...

What this proves more than anything else is that the community is not the demanding, "entitled" lot gaming mags made them out to be in this context, but that its members can be productive and creative. Less a thing of spite than one of enriching the experience.

That MEHEM manages to meet a demand BW themselves were unable or unwilling to fulfill is coincidental, as I see it. The point it proves is that developers should do anything but slam the door on fan-made content.
