Ah, yep, I did, just removed the Hotfile link. That one got locked down for some reason (don't know why but it's got nothing to do with BW). Since I waited too long for a counter claim, they removed the file for good so I deleted the link to prevent confusion. Didn't change anything else.

EDIT: Also sorry for making myself scarce recently. I have a really tough project to finish in 2 weeks time and am a bit stressed out so not much time to post.

When you're done feel free to go someplace sunny, sit on beach, look at ocean, collect seashells.

You deserve it.

Or he could visit the Quarian world of Haestrom. I hear it's cooler than Australia.

*Edit* I meant that as a joke but after looking up the codex entry, Haestrom is cooler than Australia has been.

They would prolly invite him for an interview and then we would never see him again.

The last piece of known footage would be found on a video camera with him in a forest.  We would then see some twitter posts by Mike Gamble and Chris Priestley saying they had a good hunting weekend or something.

Just finished my first save game + because of this mod. It makes it a whole lot better. I had to go through the install process again. I guess a recent update altered some files.

If I knew how, I'd build an install script to do all the DLC explorer steps. If I come up with one, I'll surely let everyone know.

That would be awesome if it can be done.

Installation is probably the only real gripe I have about this mod.

Is quite easy to make an installer. A meta-script language named NSIS could be used for it.

When I have the time, I will make one for MEHEM. Probably when I reinstall it.

Is not hard, only tedious because you have to copy every file in his right place and make loooots of tests. Uninstallator can be easy made as well, even preserving previous files.

Have recently done it at work, and at first I thought it would be harder.

Once done and tested, the files can be changed and recompiled for each version with a sigle click. I mean, once the installer is done with NSIS, each new version will require a double click to generate a new exe for modders.

Heh. Gimme two or three weeks and I'll have one :)

Ok, so I cannot get this mod to work. I un-did any changes I made so I'm running a naked install of the game with only the official DLC from origin. It just stays on the loading screen and I have to restart my computer to get out of it. Does anyone have an insight?

That's odd.  When I initially installed the mod wrong, it claimed that EC was "corrupted" but that got fixed by reinstalling MEHEM correctly.  Haven't heard of it getting stuck in a loading screen.

I did some digging and it was a conflict with a file that didn't get deleted when I uninstalled another mod. I have no idea which one it belonged to however. Not that it really matters, it works now. XD

@Brace Little Kiwi: Glad to hear that things work out now.

@ anyone who is trying to use MEHEM together with other mods, one problem that can occur has to do with the file PCConsoeTOC.bin. You can use the TOC.bin updater which is part of the ME3Explorer to fix uch issues. There is now aso a stand alone version of it here. Hope that helps people who encounter problems. In general, if you use several mods, always keep in mind that if you replace a file for one mod, you'll probably encounter bugs if you replace that file again for a second mod. The only file with which you should now be able to do that is the PCConsoleTOC.bin if you use the tool above after replacing it. ith every other file, you should really have a good idea of what you are doing before replacing files twice. Also, for MEHEM, be careful with modified saves (aka Gibbet's editor mods). I am currently not quite sure why exactly but modifications can easily screw with the proper detection of you Shepard's status during the endings, resulting in weird bugs, especially with MEHEM.

@ Ironhandjustice & BDelacroix: An installer would be absolutely fantastic. I thought about making one and if it were just about copying files, I'd probably have done so. However, I am a bit unsure how to integrate the DLCExplorer into a setup script. Maybe we should start a topic over in the ME3Explorer forums. Maybe AmeroK (who coded the DLCExplorer) can help with that. And yes, an uninstaller that reverts things to the original would also be extremely useful because I guess many people want to use the original endings for some characters and the MEHEM one for others. Being able to change that with one click would be great.

@CJMission: Thanks. I'll keep your offer in mind. There might be some changes coming up in the future. If we can use more voices, I'll be sure to let you know.

@wwinters99: Yep, traveling from Europe to Australia these days is going to be like taking a shuttle from Novaria to Haestrom for sure :).

I'm on it right now and my first step is to make a replaceable installer... an installer that simply replaces the files and makes a backup from the older ones. Sadly, I think that the explorer thing is a bit difficult for me at this moment. The problem is that would be necessary to de-compress the sfar file, add new features and re-compress. That would be the correct usage.

At this moment, I can manipulate any bat file using my installer. Even create them dinamically. My first goal is make one that simply changes you DLC file for a modified one. Then, once I make this work, I'll start another version decompressing.

I know that the extended cut is free, but not sure if is legal just to upload it complete xD

Let me finish the phase one (easy) and I take a look on the sfar stuff. Pretty sure is possible...

EDIT:

Info: What does this program do? It replaces a SINGLE file inside the sfar file

Usage:
How to replace a file inside the Default.sfar?
From the command prompt type: AmaroK86.MassEffect3.DLCSwitchFile.exe Default_sfar_path file_to_replace_path, you'll see the new created Default_new.sfar
with the replaced file inside it.
For example, if you put the "From Ashes" Default.sfar file and the replacing file (for this example I choose DLC_HEN_PR_INT.tlk) on this folder just type:
  AmaroK86.MassEffect3.DLCSwitchFile.exe Default.sfar DLC_HEN_PR_INT.tlk

Changelog:
  1.0.2:
    - changed program structure
    - added option "force" in order to replace the created .sfar file above the old one

FAQ:
Q: Can I add/remove files inside the sfar file?
A: No, just replace the existing ones

Q: Can I use your program to modify sfar files on my Xbox 360 game?
A: No, because it uses a different compression algorithm (LZX on Xbox, LZMA on PC)

Q: Can I replace more than one file?
A: Yes, just use the last created .sfar file and add it the new file

Gotcha!

This is the repository http://www.mediafire.../?qyzdci68fx6cf

I have made a test and works fine. Just decompress, change files and re-compress.

Will test the resulting file next days and I will send you when I can.

hey mrfob. great to see you again.

have you found the post where the poster discribes how to "activate" the extended dialogue with anderson? this would be a great addition to your mod. andersons death is the last sacrifice and finally has a meaning in this ending (his death is overshadowed in the other scenarios) - it would be great to have this reflected by the dialogue.

@ironhandjustice

great work on the installer. needing the me3explorer, is on eof the major barriers for a lot of people who want to use the mod. an installer (with a reverse option) will definately boost its popularity and spreading. chapeau!
