Been giving this deep metaphysical thought - and its doable I think though someone else need to draw -

Slide shows Shep sneaking out the back door of the Shepard homestead, dragging little Vampyra whose vacant eyes gaze lovingly at the comatose puppy clutched in her arms.   Around front, an agitated Liara is directing two Asari DYFS officers (identifiable by their distinctive uniforms - tall derby-like hats and billy clubs) around back, whilst simulanteously dodging a solictor attempting to tag her with a summons (the word "Visitation" is conspicuous).  Aeytha (in granny get-up, hat and all) stands to one side contemplating pair of drell legs flailing heplessly out of a garbage can...

Unfortunately, we still run into the problem of what Shepard looks like. Also, do you want to start the war over what kind of dog Shepard would get their kid? Didn't think so.

A+ for effort :)

...but WOW, talk about a troll topic deluxe "What kind of Doggy should Shep buy for the little blue children"  - Might be worth posting just for the lulz...wait til the cat lovers come out of the woodwork...would it get past two pages before Stanhammer?

But regarding whether MEHEM could stand another scene/slide with the LI if well crafted... So far the opinions are vast and varied. Guess in the end Mr Fob will have to decide what will and won't work

seriously - I think its premature, and a diversion - if i understand what's going on, there is a lot of energy directed at developing much more advanced modding capabilities - so it may be much easier to achieve in the future than now...I think MrFob & Co should be free to execute their own vision for this mod, and not concern themselves with everyone's wish list...this was my original point to LiarasShield...

Oh I agree, I would never dictate how Mr Fob should design his mod. And yes I get the same feeling about where and how the current development energy of the mod is going, toward the capabilities. I cant speak for others, but as for me I was just was throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. In fact if production stopped on the mod right now and all that remained of it was v0.2, I would still like it because v0.2 is just that good. Interested to see what v0.3 has in store though

What continues to mystify me is Bioware's apparent refusal to consider the business case for supporting an active modding community - at a minimum, a cost-effective way of keeping the game alive & with a bit of imaginative packaging and marketing a nice little self-supporting profit center - with the ME team now officially disbanded, that is practically a requirement. Wouldn't take much more than releasing an official SDK and possibly uncompressed textures, etc...and I personally wouldn't object to paying some credits for a BW certification and official dlc versions of mods that could meet full game standards...

donno - maybe me just stoopid...

I love this mod! But just in case anybody wouldn't or for whatever reason would want to see the original endings again, how would you uninstall MEHEM?
Is the only way to do so to uninstall the whole game?

why, you just change directories with the backup of the vanilla game you carefully made before installing MEHEM...

Believe me I have wondered the same thing. Creating a new ending, or allowing the fan base to create an ending with their SDK would be a huge money maker for them, not to mention free advertising. But nooooooo, they have "artistic integrity" to consider... :P
@SteffiSyndrom
You could create backups, then replace MEHEM should you find the need. Of course, if for some reason that doesn't work reinstalling will restore the original endings. Personally I just threw the old endings out and am glad I will never see them again, but Im just one guy :)

I dont know.. watch it and i like original ending much more.. HEMEM is like fairy tale. It change game and it shouldnt. Even IT is better. It takes what is in game and do not add anything.

But GJ must take some time to do that.

Really not a problem - MEHEM is far from a universal solution to everyone's reaction to the game - lots of people like the stock ending w/ or w/o EC - The simple fact that you were curious enough to watch MEHEM is evidence of your interest, at whatever level in a possibly more satisfying ending - that MEHEM itself doesn't do it for you is somewhat besides the point.

Now, IT would demand a far more complex revision - well beyond present modding capabilites - and if I had a magic wand and/or year's supply of pixie dust,  Koobismo would get a visit from this tooth fairy and Marauder Shields would walk and talk...

what is really cool is that the fan base has the talent and motivation to create alternate "realities" within the ME universe, and extend the game beyond the concept of the developers.

This is very much in keeping with the pattern of many major franchises - Skyrim, Civilization, even EA's Sim series - as per my previous post - no idea why BW is reluctant to open the gate here - were I BW, I'd be awfully pleased and encouraging of these efforts.

synthesis is the fairy tale. Image IPB

jokes aside. everybody has the choice to install the mod. and we all have different reasons to do so - or not.

mehem is not too happy and leaves the right amount of speculative potential for me. its a simple ending, for a simple story.

why shouldnt we change the game? ... bioware declared this game as art - art is the fuel for creative thoughts and new works, based on the original game. this enging is an homage to the ec (and shepard and the crew)

@Xbox players,

I is possible to get this mod onto you Xbox, actually it is infact possible to get mods onto any game on an xbox to be honest, I discovered such a thing was possible with Fallout 3, and I added a game mod to it that was from the PC version, all that needed to be done was to create the appropriate .xbi header file to allow the xbox to see the mod as DLC, course Fallout 3's file structure was EXACTLY like the PC version except it had the additional header files.

The trick has never been about getting the xbox to mount the DLC, but how to get it into your hard drive without needing to buy specialized equipment. Well you can thank Halo 4 people, specifically the special edition with the DLC disk it comes with. I have been able to analyze the installer on this disk and have figured out how it works, and am in the process of duplicating it.

Which would allow a person to create a disk executable DLC installer for their favorite mod on their favorite game, which liberal alterations of course.

SO what does that mean for the ME community, it means, that once this ending mod is perfected, I can and will load it into the installer, turn that into an iso, and then you people can burn that iso, run it on your 360s and install the mod.

obviously this will require a ridiculous amount of testing on my part, I don't want to hose somebodies drive, so I will test it myself, and of course I have to wait till the mod provider actually finishes the mod first.

But ultimately us 360 owners will be able to see this ending on our machines.

@PS3 owners, the ps3 handles DLC differently and to be honest cracking how the 360 installer works is hard enough, so I would ask someone else to work on that if they could.

I wish you luck, I know many 360 players have requested such. Hopefully this doesn't hurt your equipment in the process... or hurt any copyright laws

considering the content of the installer is not protected by copyright, or rather the maker of the mod can't hold me accountable, it is actually kosher with Copyright laws. but thank you for your good wishes.

and adding dlc mods, is ok as long as they don't change MP based content.

Of course another route that can be considered, is the mod maker and myself could infact go through the XBL clearence process and add the mod as an entry into the "Indie Game" section of the marketplace.

Course that would take the approval of Major Nelson, but I would be willing to consider writing him.

I can only guess today's update breaks a moded game again.  It gives me an excuse to use the wavion installer.   Good job on that.  I didn't intend for an installer war to break out.

my guess is, that a simple "reinstall" will fix the problem ...

or we have to wait for an update from mrfob.

Latest update will require a reinstall of the Mod.

Wavion's installer DOES work. HOWEVER, you will need to revert your ME3 back to vanilla before you can use the installer. Just FYI.

Again the Installer works perfectly! Thank you very much Wavion! :D

Considering Bethesda still sells copies of Morrowind (a game from 2002) because of mods like the "Morrowind Graphics and Sound Overhaul", and Skyrim did startling numbers on the PC mostly because of the modding community not releasing a mod kit does make sense no matter how user unfreindly it may be.

donno - maybe me just stoopid...

No, you're not. Not releasing a mod kit  on the other hand...

Thanks, guys, I'm glad the installer is coming in handy. If you already have MEHEM installed via the installer, the best way to handle it is like this:
1. run my MEHEM uninstaller (comes with the installer) to restore your back-ups.
2. update ME3 to the newest version (it's best to have updates set to manual, since we're modding the game).  (if the game automatically updated before you were able to uninstall MEMEM, I also suggest running the Repair option in Origin to make sure all of the files are Vanilla)
3. run the MEHEM installer again

That should work. At least it did on mine. Please let me know if it doesn't for you guys.
Honestly, I'm not yet sure why exactly the update broke MEHEM. It didn't seem to modify the relevant DLC files: the sizes look unchanged and the "last modified" tag on the files haven't changed to today. I didn't check the movie files, I suppose it's possible there could have been something there.

On an unrelated note: MrFob, is there any way you can make the Shepard-Anderson-Illusive Man scene (on Return to the Citadel) skippable like regular dialogue? It would sure make debugging MEHEM quicker. I've had to sit through that scene at least a dozen times - I'm sure you've had to watch it way more than that.

I can confirm  Wavion's above process does work! :D (though I didn't use the uninstaller... cool that it does that. Appreciate it!)

As for the update, I do believe that when the game is updated Origin also reinstalls the game to get it to be the same version as it is on origins' servers. Specifically the movies I think get replaced. When I first tested to see if the mod was still working after the update, the game crashed after it got to the Scene where we see Joker diosbeying orders, a sign that the movies were affected, since that scene is a modded movie file.
