I can't believe that I only just found out about this! I salute you :)

Is this compatible with Omega DLC and the 1.05 patch? If so I'm downloading ASAP.

You have made this game replayable for me. As a long term ME fan I've played ME and ME2 more times than I can remember, now I can replay ME3 without the starchild. Thank you.

Thanks and yes, should be compatible with both.

Oh, glad you've returned Mr. Fob.

Always good to have your perception around.

Hmmm I had a small update done to the game via the craptastic Origin launcher on the 6 day/2/2013 a few files/folders changed by the date stamp in the ME 3 directory... since this update the Harbinger taunts are gone, you hear Joker talk to Shepard then black screen, no destroy no rescue, just freeze.

If you haven't, do a repair install(option from origin) then use the new installer in the OP to do a fresh install of the mod.

Hopefully that should get everything back in place.

Thanks, however I have the entire game backed up on the desktop... and I had V0.2 installed. I just wish I hadn't said check for updates. Looks like I have to re-install V0.2 again.

Yep, you'll have to re-install v0.2 after an update. I haven't tested it but I think it's not necessary to repair the game before you do the MEHEM re-install. All it does is put the MEHEM files in the right places. Should just overwrite whatever is there so there should be no problem.
Of course, using you own backups might cause trouble if the update changed files that are not affected by the mod so a re-install is the way to go. Try using wavions installer and let us know if that works. Good luck!

Reporting in.
I installed MEHEM after all current DLC and the new 1.05 patch and it works perfectly :)

To those having trouble I suggest uninstalling before loading the patch, then reinstalling afterwards. Played the end of my only femshep playthrough to test.

I did however notice a new dialogue between Shepard and Anderson about the building of a human Reaper on the Citadel. This may have been added in the EC, I don't know as I deliberately stopped playing after my first run through due to RGB (Deus Ex ending) issues. Does anyone know if this happened due to the 1.05 patch?

A+ for MEHEM :)

Anderson didn't get any new lines with the EC or the patches.

Just deleted the Mass Effect 3 folder and dropped the backup from my desktop into the Orgin games folder, did the update and ran the MEHEM installer all good once again... thank you for the mod without it, the game just had zero re-playability for me, which was crying shame.

@ wwinters99 and wavion: Thanks for the confirmation. My memory is playing tricks on me...not surprising really since I've only played the ending once back in April 2012. Avoided it like the plague since.

I did see the photo of EDI at the end though (as dead crew), but that may be because of a glitch, because I used an old playthrough.

Just loaded a new game, and am looking forward to the end now.

As I said, great Mod, it deserves more publicity on the BSN.

There is an EDI slide hotfix for v0.2 that takes care of the EDI slide. Check the OP of this thread for the link. This fix will be included from the start in v0.3.

Yeah, that was my bad. The EDI fix isn't in the v02 installer version.

Why did I not hear about this mod sooner!?

Question: Does your galactic readiness need to be high in order for the mod to trigger?

Currently, the mod plays no matter your EMS. Future updates might include a Mid-Range EMS less-happy varient.

Mr Fob, I was wondering if you could help me. I have been trying to do a slight modification to your mod with no success. Don't get me wrong, I love the mod, I love that there's no starchild and the great memorial scene, but the video sequences don't feel right to me (the quality of the imported videos, the cuts, the "talky" Joker), so I've been trying, during the manual installation of the mod (not the automatic installer), to avoid replacing the original videos so I can let those parts of the destroy ending intact (for me it's fine to assume Shepard is fine without the rescue sequence). So far, messing with the files has only led the game to crash or freeze in different ways.

If you could help me or perhaps just point me in the right direction I'd be really thankful. If it's too complicated then I guess I'll just have to forget about it :)

@vintage-sparks: I think I answered you already via pm. In principle, wwinters99 is coorect although the epilogue slide are still EMS sensitive and with really low EMS you won't see the memorial scene, implying that the Normandy got destroyed after all. As I said about a page ago, this is something I intend to look into in one of the next version.

@SIRIUS_N7: No problem. The videos are not final at any rate. Replacing them is a bit tricky though since it requires changes in the game files, basically to tell the game how long any given video is. I posted a tutorial on video replacements here but it's all still being researched and therefore you may need a lot of trial and error there. Also, the timing with the music is not quite easy. We can't manipulate that very well at the moment so you'd have to play all of the old videos, including Shep shooting the crucible tube, the flashbacks, etc. in order for that to fit. It can get rather complicated pretty quickly but feel free to try stuff out. Maybe you'll even discover something new we didn't know yet along the way. Good luck.

Would it be too difficult to just insert your memorial scene into the destroy ending of the EC? (Without altering anything else, not even the starkid).

In principle, it's no problem, once you know what you are doing. I think "Honorable_Ensign" (hope I got the name right) was working on that. I've been helping him out every now and then but couldn't really do much as long as I didn't have my files at hand for reference. Also, I want to post the next chapter in my sequence modding tutorial soon which will address some issues relevant to this.
The thing is, the MEHEM memorial is a modified version of the synthesis memorial. Getting it to be loaded after the destroy ending means changing the way the game streams levels into memory. That's what the next chapter of my tutorial will be about.
Of course, while the MEHEM memorial can be run while preserving the star kid, there is no way at the moment to preserve the synthesis ending so your choices would already be diminished (or you have to live with a glitched synthesis ending).
In any case, I'd suggest if you are interested in those kinds of modding questions, we should head over to the ME3Explorer forums. Problem is that you can get into specifics very quickly and at that point, it tends to get rather uninteresting for those not into modding the game. Also, there are more people over there that may be able to help out with questions.

MrFob, i've been out for a while.

It's related to the Storm Team beta video that i made for the rescue.

At the end, will you need additional video materials for the rescue scene? Do you want me to search for more?

I was able to do this without issue. Starting with a clean (MEHEM not installed) install, replace BioD_End002.pcc, BioD_End002_600Epilogue, BioD_End002_730MemorialGreen.pcc, and End002_NorDepart.bik with MrFob's versions (you'll have to manually update the PCConsoleTOC.bin with the correct file sizes). This has the effect of keeping Star Child, plays the ending normally, no Normandy crash, and playing the MEHEM memorial.

Caveats: 1) You'll have to change the sounds manually or else EDI's voice will play once you get to the memorial scene. 2) The memorial with Shep will play no matter what (unless your EMS is at the lowest level so that the memorial doesn't play at all) your EMS is.
Also, the game will hang at the memorial if you pick Synthesis. I actually modded the endgame handler to never enable synthesis, no matter what EMS is.
