In principle, it's no problem, once you know what you are doing. I think "Honorable_Ensign" (hope I got the name right) was working on that. I've been helping him out every now and then but couldn't really do much as long as I didn't have my files at hand for reference. Also, I want to post the next chapter in my sequence modding tutorial soon which will address some issues relevant to this.
The thing is, the MEHEM memorial is a modified version of the synthesis memorial. Getting it to be loaded after the destroy ending means changing the way the game streams levels into memory. That's what the next chapter of my tutorial will be about.
Of course, while the MEHEM memorial can be run while preserving the star kid, there is no way at the moment to preserve the synthesis ending so your choices would already be diminished (or you have to live with a glitched synthesis ending).
In any case, I'd suggest if you are interested in those kinds of modding questions, we should head over to the ME3Explorer forums. Problem is that you can get into specifics very quickly and at that point, it tends to get rather uninteresting for those not into modding the game. Also, there are more people over there that may be able to help out with questions.
I was able to do this without issue. Starting with a clean (MEHEM not installed) install, replace BioD_End002.pcc, BioD_End002_600Epilogue, BioD_End002_730MemorialGreen.pcc, and End002_NorDepart.bik with MrFob's versions (you'll have to manually update the PCConsoleTOC.bin with the correct file sizes). This has the effect of keeping Star Child, plays the ending normally, no Normandy crash, and playing the MEHEM memorial.
Caveats: 1) You'll have to change the sounds manually or else EDI's voice will play once you get to the memorial scene. 2) The memorial with Shep will play no matter what (unless your EMS is at the lowest level so that the memorial doesn't play at all) your EMS is.
Also, the game will hang at the memorial if you pick Synthesis. I actually modded the endgame handler to never enable synthesis, no matter what EMS is.
Precisely what I'm trying to do! Could you please help me with what you say about "updating the PCConsoleTOC.bin"? I don't understand that part, but replacing the files you mention shouldn't be a problem
Or perhaps just upload that file somewhere? After all that bin is not heavy.
I'd be really really thankful

Just watched the video and I have to say...wow. It's fantastic, and I was particularly surprised to see what looked like new footage (as in cinematics that you created). I may just be mistaken on that, but still. The only problem I would have is that it's a little hard to understand the Alliance captain, but it wasn't too bad. All in all, this is a monumental improvement to what we got (and even to the EC). I really wish I could download this for my Xbox, but I guess I'll just have to watch the video every time I finish the game.
Anyway, great work.
There's no new cinematics at this time. I'm guessing the scenes you don't recognize are those reused from the low EMS endings.
As for the Alliance Captain, that's MrFob! He's from Australia, but don't hold that against him.
(Just kidding MrFob, you're the best)

@HelixSpiral: Hey, nice going there mate. Should have thought of that, I guess. Usually just replacing certain files can really mess with things but if this works out, perfect. I'll be sure to ler Honourable_Ensign know as well.
BTW, for anyone who wants to use this, PK made a tutorial for replacing sounds in DLC files a while ago. Should prove useful if you want to make this kind of modification.
@TheIdiocyWizard2.0: Yep, as wwinters99 says, there are no new cut scenes. There is a small part taken out of a new low EMS crucible docking scene that came with the EC (and which I personally find pretty cool, though I could only use a few seconds of it). There are also (rather obviously) some ME2 scenes in this and a lot of it is old footage played backwards (e.g. the Normandy turning towards the citadel while Joker has his "hard on my flank" line is the old ending scene when the ship actually turns away from the citadel.).
@wwinters: After such comments I just might have to "introduce" you to some of our indigenous wildlife

EC Destroy ending + MEHEM Memorial scene rolls out flawlessly.
Now I'm stuck with what he warned, it's EDI the one speaking instead of Hackett. But this thing with the sound is really out of my league. I'm gonna check PK tutorial anyway to see if I can do it, but any help would be much appreciated.

Is it too much to hope for that by "indigenous wildlife" you mean a koala?

I guess that the process here is to look for Hackett lines of the Memorial Scene and import them into the MEHEM (Synthesis) memorial scene. I haven't been able to find them, Mr Fob or Hellix Spiral, do you know which files are those and in what .pcc are included?
I'll take this over to the MEHEM customization thread at ME3Explorer forums. My SN over there is JohnP.

Ok I hate to sound the gong again but I think there needs to be a little clarification with the quick install file regarding the Geth and Quarians. When it (the installer) asks if you side with the geth or make peace the quarians and geth, it is worded in such a way that people may not understand which button to click if they made peace between the two races. I clicked no because I re-united the Geth and Quarians... did I choose the wrong option to make that work? I manually installed the mod a long time ago, but wanted to see how the quick install would work... so yeah. Love the mod and installer, I just need to know which option to press if I made peaceThanks!
Clicking "Yes" adds the Geth slides - both the "Geth Only" and the "Geth+Quarians". If you say "No" you'll only see Quarians. I'll try to word it better in the v03 version.

Okay, this mod looks really amazing and I downloaded the installer and it all seemed to work well but when I reached the ending, it still brought me up to the catalyst! Any idea why this could be? Could a modified coalesced.ini be an issue?
Send me a PM and I'll see if I can help you get it working.

On top of that, updating files on the X-Box means the update has to be approved by Bioware, hosted on the Microsoft site, at a cost of about $10,000 (the last number I heard, anyway.)
So I don't think it's going to be done for X-Box. Well, not unless the folks at Bioware choose to jump on the bandwagon and become part of this ending mod, anyway.

Will this mod ever get translated over to x-box. I'd pay money to see that happen.
actually on page 92 of this forum Exieder said he will try and make this mod for xbox players once MEHEM reaches its final version. He goes into some detail as to how he is going to do this so take a read!

Interesting, I've never considered how it feels to watch your home get blown up in a game/movie. Do people in New York or Paris just sigh when their iconic landmarks get destroyed by aliens every other week?
(Apparently, I don't live someplace important enough to merit screen time when it is destroyed)
Maybe if a future version of MEHEM allows for custom player created end slides, you can show that it takes more than the end of the galaxy to destroy all of Vancouver.

You kind of get used to it. During the twitter campaign run-up to ME3, I was idly following some of the tweets about Los Angeles. I was at work, alt-tabbed to the new tweets, thought "Huh, there's a Reaper a few blocks down from my building," and wandered in that direction for lunch

Would anyone know if it would be possible to mod the game so that during the dream sequences, you can hear all the dialogues, even if the characters are alive ?
#2399
Posté 10 février 2013 - 09:56
@Lawrence0294: I'd recommend looking through the sequence editor for the BioD files related to the dream sequences but beware. There are sub-sequences that don't show up in the editor yet. I am guessing that there is a sequence dedicated to determining who is alive or dead at the given point in the game. Should be easy enough to re-link things in there so that everyone is flagged as dead for this particular scene (a bit cruel but hey, whatever works, right?
@wwinters99 and cfs3corsair : You could always change, say the Jacob slide to a Vancouver slide if you so desired (I mean let's be honest here, after the crap Jacob pulled, who wants him in a slide anyway
Oh by the wwinters99, yes, it would be a Koala ... with one of these on its back
