I agree that MEHEM is better, that much is obvious :) But Bioware won't redo the endings IMO. They have said they wouldn't, and seem staunch on that point

I have dismissed the "I won't change the ending anymore" claim.

I will only believe it when they close the DLC stuff for good.

So you think that Bioware may make another ending similar to MEHEM? Just saying Bioware has repeatedly brought up their "artistic integrity" excuse. Doesn't seem likely... I mean, the new Reckoning DLC probably does take place on the Citadel, and does have some pretty bold changes... but they are gameplay changes. To me it would make sense if the DLC somehow focused on when the Citadel was captured by the Reapers. But this is probably the last DLC for ME3 so... yeah not too hopeful here

I certainly don't think Bioware will be making anything like MEHEM. But, I'm still (foolishly) hopeful that the new DLC takes place after the official ending and shows that said ending was all in Shepard's mind (like IT, or even just a dream while he was knocked unconscious from the blast during the beam run). I know they SAID they wouldn't make post-ending DLC or change the ending again, but they've said a lot of things that later didn't turn out to be true (or at least not in the way we expected). And with the co-founders of Bioware resigning/retiring (I'm very sad about that, btw, those guys were awesome; I really hope they weren't forced to do so.), maybe the new management will see things differently.

Yeah those guys who retired WERE Bioware. Gonna miss them :/
I wish for a new ending DLC or post ending DLC as well... but my gut feeling is that it just aint happening. I mean, to do so would be for Bioware to essentially admit they were wrong which, quoting Mordin, "is classified as... problematic". Which is why people like you and Mr Fob work on MEHEM in the end, right? Because Bioware probably wont :(

Yes, Bioware has been less than truthful in the past but I would not waste your time hoping for a new ending from them.

Even if I'm wrong, would you be that willing to forgive and forget this past year?

That's why I'm sticking with MrFob.

Well, again, I didn't have any part in the creation of MEHEM.  That's MrFob.  MEHEM saved ME3 for me, and I just wanted as many people as possible to be able to experience that too, so I made an installer.  I wasn't even the first to do so, I was just the first to have one finished.  And it's not perfect. But, at least it seems to have worked for most who have tried it, so that makes me happy.

Understood, and I also understand that you only made the installer. But dont sell yourself short on that, many people just are not saavy enough to manually install. So frankly the installer will probably help double the MEHEM users out there

Right after I wrote that I started doubting my own conviction. Would I cave and end up crawling back to Bioware like a kicked dog begging for forgiveness? Maybe.

That doesn't change the fact that I will be eternally grateful to MrFob for everything he's done. Thank you again MrFob, I don't think I'll ever be able to thank you enough.

Same here.

It won't happen, though.  So make mine MEHEM. ;)

Well, wavion, you did make this mod accessable to a lot of people I'd imagine (and much less bothersome for others) so I think it's fair to say that you've been working on it as well. This was never a one man show to begin with anyway since people like warranty voider, amarok86 and all the others from the ME3Explorer team are vital to about any mod project out there and so are the people contributing here with suggestions (I am just saying: talking Harbinger, which would never happened otherwise), slides (hey there areyouareaper and Alienmorph) and music (Malukah for the win (although I only asked her if I could use the song after the fact - sorry about that)). I'd be an arrogant bastard if I were claim sole credit for anything and in fact, the further we spread out, the happier I am.

On the subject of BW providing an ending change/addition after all, I sort of addressed this back in the MEEM thread, hat to quote myself but ehre it is:

If BW ever decides to pick up the threads and go with either IT or the puzzle theory (or anything else that we haven’t come up with yet), I am the first to cheer and throw this fan fiction on the trash heap. However, indications at the moment are that this is not the case and as much as I like the concept of the IT and the PT, without the proper DLC, finishing the story, it’s just an unfinished one which is not better than the bad endings we got without it. So until BW pulls a miracle out of their collective ... uuhh hats, I’ll go with this imperfect but IMO better solution.

So yea, I'd "forgive"them in a heartbeat as well. Everyone can mess up at some point (or even two). Hell, I'd already be happy about some honest discussion with the devs but the way things are, there is no harm in doing what we can. Besides, it's kinda fun to figure this stuff out anyway.

Bioware was, hands-down, my favorite video game company from Baldur's Gate 2 until Dragon Age II.  Now it's CD Projekt RED.  But Bioware can reclaim that honor by doing the following three things: 1. Post-ending ME3 DLC (Shepard lives, Star Child isn't real). 2. Make a good Dragon Age III (much more like DAO than DA2). 3. Have an occasional sale on Bioware Points (seriously, wtf?! the price of DLC NEVER goes down, even after years).

You said it Mr Fob. If Bioware was just willing to say "ok, so maybe we made a mistake... lets fix it by making something epic" I would probably go back "in a New York minute". But so far they seem less than... accepting of the fact that they didn't live up to standards. And as a result I am not holding my breath that this last DLC will be the fix we have all wanted. Oh well, MEHEM is coming along and frankly should be quite a work of art by the time it reaches v1.0 :)

If this new DLC is a new ending and if it is better than MEHEM (it's MEHEM but polished). Yes I would.

Why? Becuase they would have created something that I wanted.

I am a Mass Effect Fan, not a Bioware fan, so forgivenss would be "easy". Will I be singing Bioware's praises to the mountain top? No. But I would be pleased enough to consider paying full price for ME4.

Which is why I am eternally greatful to Mr. Fob and all those who are modding to ME3 (The ending mod, Tali's face, etc).

They listened.

Hey guys, delurking for a moment...

First, Mr Fob and everyone who's contributing to this - you are geniuses. THANK YOU.

Second, only because people have been talking about the DLC and if it were to be ending/post-ending... Jessica Merizan addressed that on Twitter about a week ago. Thought I'd share just so no one gets their hopes up - took a screen shot just so people can see.

Sorry :( Don't want to be a downer but wanted to share.

*goes back to lurking*
