Bioware has shown plenty of willingness to cater to casual gamers.  I mean, DA: O, DA2, JE, KOTOR and ME1-3 are all on consoles, aren't they?

Console wars are stupid.  None of them is anything more than a slow PC with an embarrassingly bad graphics card, so it's silly when XBox or PS3 fans trash on the Wii for no reason.  The Wii U is the only next gen console I'll buy because it's the only console that has the capability to do something that I can't do better on my PC.

Frankly wouldn't be fair on Nintendo to only get the third game. They'd have no save games to import from the previous two games.

It's not a big deal to me. I have played both DA 1 & 2 on the 360.

Depending on how they handle save imports, its completely possible for them to allow WiiU owners customize their game based on playthroughs on another console. And if Bioware came up with some cool ways to use the second screen that where appealing, it could be fun to switch to playing it on the WiiU.

However, there's also a chance any and all of that functionality may be available on the Xbox as well using SmartGlass so, in that case I'd stick with my xbox for now.

Lol the Wii U won't be strong enuff to run the game I think dragon age 3 will be propa next gen xbox720/ps4 or very high end pc. The Wii U is just a Xbox with a second sceen and the Xbox is 7yrs old tut tut nintendo

Barring any disasters at Bioware, DA3 is likely coming out next November. 720 will not be released at that time.

This.

im not a Xbox Nintendo or Sony fan just looking what happend in the past. we all know the next box ps4 will be a lot stronger than the Wii U. The Wii U is a Xbox 360 with a bit more ram and a second sceen. I'm not starting a console war im just saying ffs. When the Xbox360 came out so did Dao at the same time the Wii was out and was to weak to run Dao and 7yrs on its the same thing now Nintendo have stayed a gen behind graphics wise. Also I think dragon age 3 would be a mint launch title for nextbox ps4 it would deffo be a good reason for me to buy a new console anyway

There is a possibility, however it would really suck. The wii was a terrible console for RPGs. I doubt the Wii U would be much better. It's good for racing and platform games, not for intense fantasy mega-games.

( forgive if im wrong about wii u, i just heard it was released a month ago and nintendo isnt typicaly good at these sort of games. im assuming the wii u is just an advanced wii, sort dont swarm at be about how im wrong )

Basicly it is stronger then the PS3/360 but how much stronger who knows, and it releses in 18th of november.
It has a big controller with a touchscreen in the middle of it and has all the regular buttons 360/PS3 have so I dont see why DA3 can't be on the U.

the wiiu is no more powerfull than a Xbox 360 the Wii U has a little more ram but that pad with the second screen will use that extra ram so really its a Xbox 360 with a extra sceen

Xenoblade was supposed to be an amazing (J)RPG, for whatever it's worth.

They're using Frostbite 2, which is playable on the 360.

There are many reports from known developers that said that the Wii U is stronger(didn't say if the margin is big or small it could be so small its almost irrelevent but its there),hell Nintendo would need to pay more to buy parts that are as weak as 7yr old hardware.

But anyway on-topic if DA3 gets a U release it could really help both the UI and inventory and the tactics(if its still there:pinched:) If there is a U release I think I would buy.

Heh. Imagine using the gamepad-screen for a kind of limited top-down-view map, Infinity Engine-style. It would certainly help out with placement and tactics in battle and whatnot.

Yea it could really be helpful in RPG's and Stratagy games, I see alot of potential in the U for those genres I hope it will be tapped.
Bioware DA3: Tactics Reloaded U do it.

According to Wikipedia, Nintendo has released at least some specs for the Wii U.

But I don't really care enough to research how much more powerful it is than the 360/PS3 and I sure don't care to speculate about how much less powerful it is than two consoles that haven't even been announced yet.

I want them to finish with the PC, Xbox and PS first before porting it to Wii U. I don't want the game to be dumbed down more to fit all consoles.

That ship sailed so, so long ago.

And the possibility of a top down display on the tablet actually means that the Wii U version has the ability to be more tactically complex than those of the other consoles.

That would be exclusively on the Wii U, right? It would be hard to incorporate on other consoles and would be a waste of resource to develop something specifically for one system only, especially when the Wii U is not proven to be popular yet. They should finish develop the game for the other systems first then start porting it the the Wii U. It would also make business sense to wait until there's a sizable number of audience for a system first before releasing it.

The Wii was the best selling console of the previous generation, it follows that the Wii U will be successful as well, especially considering that it will get the first release boost.

@WhiteThunder

PS2 out sold XB and GC and yet PS3 didn't out sell 360 and the Wii, 360 released a year ahead of PS3 and Wii.

Wii may have sold the most hardware(consoles), but 3rd party software sales were better on the PS3 and 360. The games that did well on the Wii were usually 1st party nintendo games.

You're comparing apples and oranges. Wii is the first console to incorporate something new with the motion control. Wii U has none of that and with a slightly updated graphic that is subpar to the current gen, I don't see people flocking to buy it. Anyway, the system will be released soon, so we'll see how well it will fare.

I don't care if they port it to the Wii U, so long as they wait until after the initial console/PC release like they're doing for ME3.

I am sure it takes a bit more to port games for the Wii U that weren't originally designed for it, and I'd hate for resources that could go into making the game as good as possible being sunk on one platform.
