Why do Arch Demons initialise a culling campaign instead of pursuing other Arch Demons?

When an Arch Demon arises why do they always assault Thedas’ surface instead of seeking out other Arch-Demons. Wouldn’t an Arch Demon be more sensitive to the song that another slumbering Arch Demon emits? You’d think it would be more logical for the tainted Old Gods to seek each other out; instead of launching an all-out campaign to end life on the World’s surface.
Maybe this is the plot for Dragon Age V?

1) The Archdemon doesn't know where its fellows are hidden. It takes years for the darkspawn to find one Old God and the Archdemon doesn't want to waste time searching for them.
2) Evil is not one big happy family. The Archdemon doesn't want to vie with one of its fellows for control of the darkspawn horde.

Two reasons off the top of my head:

Also, insanity.
One would think the Taint twists the Old Gods into maddened husks of their former selves like it does to other living things in Thedas. I mean, aside from a physical change for the Old Gods, mentally they probably suffer as well. Certainly, Zathrian believes Urthemiel to be just that.

No. There's nothing to relaly indicate the Archdemons/Old Gods can hear the Song of other Old Gods. The Darkspawn can hear the Song of all the Old Gods, but that's about all we know.

In fact, it might be kind of detrimental to their cause. As it stands, the Old Gods have seven shots at wiping out all life on Thedas. If two or more of their number are wiped out in a single Blight, then their chances of winning the Super Bowl just shrank by that much. And if they don't win the championship, then how will they raise the money they need to save the orphanage where they all grew up?
