guys, cut it off already
some you just jealous because he is using a 'joke race' AKA Volus.

Volus are part of N7 Spec Ops

Deal with it Primitives

OR

You need to nerf yourself. This is not competitive games.

lol sir, no one brought the Volus being op into this :P. The point was that the Volus, being used by the headshot master, outscored the other three classes by A HUGE MARGIN even though the other three were weapon classes. It was mostly emphasizing that the headshot master is overpowered and needed nerfing, pssibly with something headshot related. One idea is to nerf the damage on headshots when he deals them, the other is by making the head as tiny as a pinpoint which might help him being overpowered

Do you know how ridiculous on the old days when geth prime got headshot damage removal?

because some of people said "it's too easy"

cut it off already

Yup we have no sense of humour.

And we're elitist DB's who only play for score and hog all the kills.

This pretty much, on gold I do hog all the kills and leaving most of my team little to kill until its gets to the later waves when more boss lvl enemies start coming in on gold.

elite = smart

There are differing types of mental ability and affinity.

Go check out a giant chunk of interviews by Olympic athletes, american football/football players. In the case of Olympic athletes, they've been coached and coached and then coached again by media experts until their responses are rote and they still sound... interesting. These people tend to have all the hallmarks of great gamers.

Hell, check Korean pro gamer interviews, these people won't be curing cancer or writing the next great novel anytime soon, or even learning to think laterally in many, but not all instances. There are edges cases on both ends.

As someone who came directly out of pro fighting games, this stuff is not speculation or assumption. I've lived it, I've seen the underlying patterns for years.

You're assuming the gaming elite comes from the same demographic no matter what the style of game is.

It would be an interesting thing to study, but I'm not prepared to make or accept sweeping generalisations about a demographic without proof. I guess it's because of the halo effect.

I don't think there's any correlation between intelligence and how good someone is at a game. Positive or negative.

I'm not assuming anything. I was on the fighting scene for years upon years upon years, and ME3MP has been out for quite a long chunk of time, with plenty of social input and visual reference to pore over.

Ever thought that the coaching might be part of the reason why they sound, as you put it, interesting?  Most people will sound dumber on an interview.  You have to deal with stupid reporter questions while answering in a way that doesn't offend anybody.

I'm not saying all pro athletes are geniuses, but on average I think you'd find them to be more intelligent than you might guess.  Conversing is a lot easier than being interviewed.

Further, this has almost nothing to do with the so-called "elite" mass effect players.  Here we are talking about the best in a relatively small community.  The game has only been out for less than a year.  Unlike professional athletes, the "elite" here have not spent their entire adult lives perfecting their ability to play Mass Effect.

I'm not saying they're dumb. I'm saying there are differing degrees of aptitude in several areas of potential proficiency. Some of which applies directly to gaming with readily discernible patterns to observe.

Honestly I don't understand why you would try to tie pro gamers with such reviews etc. You are generalizing too much, there's a lot of great gamers out there that are also quite smart. I also know others that aren't so much. I don't think being good at a game or games in general has anything to do with how smart a person is.

Obviously if someone spends all his time playing video games and ignoring school and such, they might not have such a great IQ score or what have you since they would be lacking a lot of information. But even then, it would be tied in to ignorance rather then lack of intelligence as you seem to imply.

This game hasn't even been out a year, let alone the entire lifespan of any current player.

I personally know a lot of great gamers who got accepted to one of the best Uni's in the US, so I really don't see where you are coming up with these statistics.

I have zero interest in changing your opinion, only a vested interest in completely discounting "elite players are mystical silent all knowing wizards who just know everything, you can't explain that" ridiculousness.

I don't have time to pick apart your sweeping generalizations.  But here I need to point out that correlation does not equal causation.  People act like idiots on the internet all the time.  Playing video games has nothing to do with it.

let be honest

not all people have the same ability like the great player you mention above no matter how much you train

maybe you are not Great in ME3, but maybe you are great or God in making spaghetti, the taste cannot be forgotten and of course many of chef will jelly at you and try to nerf you in real life.

simple.

Lets get back on the topic of this thread shall we? The point is, people like Jay need nerfing so that it's more "fair" for the rest of us to try and catch up with them

I think, that  it has to have something with the intelligence, because people react with the different speed on the same thing,so to say.
When you are doing IQ test ,you have fixed amount of time to solve test and some people solve it in few minutes, other need 10 minutes and some cannot solve it at all.
Same thing is when  playing  ME 3 MP for example. You have some enemies on the map and have to decide quickly what enemies are the biggest threat and react accordingly.

kick him whenever he is joining the game?

asking him using low end weapon such predator?

or just simply kill him in real life?

you are not making sense at all

please don't making anerf suggestion based on some Godlike skilled player. No matter how bad they nerfed the weapon or class or etc, they will always find the way for top scoring.

last time i saw someone posting the thread that there are player who can top scoring on higher difficulty using the eagle only

you want eagle nerf?

after that if there is someone who can topscoring with huge margin with only predator only, then what??? you want the predator follow the same fate like krysae?

It's just natural skill

Like school it simply comes down to whether or not you can be bothered to learn the extras
Spawns, DPS, cross class affinity and alike.

Thats all these people are, they've put in the time and happen to have respectable reflexes to put that time spent to good use.
