I have seen and heard so many things on what is coming out in DA3 and some of them (even though people believe it) are obviously rumors, completely made up. Does anyone know any truthes on what is actually going to be added in the third game? I only know a couple of things that are fact but that's about it. I would just like to know if anyone knows anything else if more have been said of course? :)

Bioware have been teasing about what they will add but they did say they would introduce the Warden and the champion (which I am looking forward to), someone from Bioware said something along the lins of don't be suprised if you see the Warden and Champion again. It will be released at the end of year 2013, it will be about Mages VS Templars and I just heard they are adding online playing.

Wonder what else they are adding?

I found some info about the plot:

"PlotCreative Director Mike Laidlaw confirmed that the overall plot of Dragon Age III will be "saving the world from itself". It will primarily involve an all-out civil war between mages and templars, the foundations of which comprise the main plot of Dragon Age II.According to Dragon Age writer David Gaider, the story of the first game's Warden "is over" and the story of Hawke, the second game's protagonist, would be finished through futureDragon Age II downloadable content, though BioWare has since announced an end to future Dragon Age II content. Therefore, like the previous games, Dragon Age III will showcase a new protagonist.[9] It has been confirmed that the character will be fully voiced and that the dialogue wheel from Dragon Age II will return.[14] However, in a Twitter post, BioWare employee Mike Laidlaw mentioned that playing as a different character "does not mean your old character may never appear in future games", which could indicate that the player may be able to meet their original protagonists."

Check the '[updated dato] what we know' thread, it will be on page 1 or two of this forum.

The dialogue wheel and voiced PC will certainly be returning. And IIRC, we'll have a new protagonist too, and I believe the game will be, for the most part, set in Orlais.

Other than that, I don't think we know much, if at all.

What about the Warden and the champion? I read up about it and they said don't be surprised of you see them again. That sounded like a yes to me. I'm looking forward to it

I'm looking foward to seeing Hawke again, though not the Warden. Only because...Warden doesn't have a voice. No wait, he does. One of those 5/6 voices you can pick from. That be interesting if they used those.

Oh gawd... they can do that wrong in so many ways it's downright frightening. Where did you read this?

I doubt that the Warden and Hawke will have a physical representation in the game. There's waaaay too many variables with both characters ranging from hair colour to eye colour, from voice to personality. I don't think they'll risk it for a cameo, or even worse, as a major plot point.

I believe there is a thread in which the OP list all the facts thus far.Anything regarding companions or returning characters is rumors...

Why is everyone so afraid, I'd love to see it. I'd also love to see my warden look like one of the elves from DA2! And no, not those creepy elves...I mean more along the lines of Fenris or Merrill's design. Except with Juggernaut Plate and Ageless.

Considering that there were 6 different voices for every single race and for each gender, they would have to call 24 different voice actors only to let the Warden say something. I think that if we're going to see the Warden again he will definitely not speak.

I would be very pleased to see the Warden again or at least to have him/her mentioned, though.

There's way too many variables for BioWare to meet when making Hawke and the Warden a NPC. Exact same appearance (which will most likely be impossible due to different art style (see Zevran) and character creator), choices, be they related to companions, main story or sidequests, and in the Warden's case, a voice. A completely silent NPC would look out of place amongst hundreds of others who have a voice.

I'm afraid afraid because the requirements are too high. There are so many ways to do this wrong and arguably little reward up to the point where it's simply not worth the risks.

Oh yes, forgot that each race also had it's own set of 6. Need to wake myself up, really.
Yeah, it's going to be interesting what they do. Being mentioned is probably the best option. Hawke is easier, seeing as he has 2 voice actors. Him voiced is probably a reality.

Pretty much.

The words "Hawke and Warden returning" strike abject terror into my heart. I'd be glad to hear that they make no attempt to bring either of them back.

Do NOT post stuff like this without providing a source, preferably with an actual link. All that will accomplish is (1) giving people anxiety, (2) giving people hope, (3) making people pissed off, or (4) making them happy over an unconfirmed rumor. You can see it already in this thread.

At least he makes the effort to explicitly state if something is a rumor and/or just supposition based on various dev comments.

The final scene between cassandra and leliana in DA2 seems to hint at it at least. Though they need not follow up on it. It'd be interesting to see if they can pull it off. With so many different wardens around. Some could be travelling, others could be king/queen alongside anora/alistair, dwarven wardens were named paragon and could be enjoying themselves in orzammar by now, seeing no reason to return to the surface and definitely not getting involved with a mage/templar war.

We'll see I suppose.

The Warden, regardless his/her status in DAO/DAA/dlc, apparently left Ferelden and nobody know where he/she is. So the situation they'll be in DA3, if alive and if they'll be  present, will be the same regardless of their status in the former game.
