This isn't "save the council" importent. You're not even in fereldan, and your warden has been MIA for the better part of the decade... This has litaraly no significance. "Look at me! Some of you may know me as the warden that saved the world from the blight. But more importently, when the king gave me one wish and I asked for money! cause money rocks! So don't call me warden, I am the teyrina of gwaren!".

Seriously, who chooses riches? It's the end of the game, it's not like you can buy something with it. Atleast the other boons make a real impact on the world (well, fereldan anyways).

The importance of that choice was made with the choice. By choosing the boon you further develop your warden. You don't need to have a ripple effect for everything you do in order for the choice to have significance. The only reason DA:O is a great RPG is because the choice is available and the motive is free to choose.

So you never bothered to read farther than the title? I see...

I'm not backpedalling on anything. I made a mistake in wording, it was noted, I accept it, time to let go and move on

To avoid confusion, you can edit the thread title.

Well, I'm sure it will be mentioned if we go to Ferelden, but otherwise I really don't think it's that 'noteworthy'. I mean, it's still a fine choice for your character. :)

Well of the boons granted it would be interesting to see the Mage one (along with, say not granting Burkel his chantry in Orzammar as that creates another "circle" there). Together with the Dwarf Noble (I've never finished a commoner origin) where the boon granted is at least one Fereldan army fighting in the Deep Roads. It'd be nice to actually have the Dwarves attack for a change.

Those two boons seem to be the only ones that might affect regions outside of Ferelden, assuming of course the end slides (or those in particular) aren't considered rumour and hearsay.

I doubt any of the boons will be mentioned since they were pretty much ignored by DLC.

As an example I played as a male human noble, made Alistair wed Anora, and was appointed his Chancellor. Nevertheless in Awakening my Warden was now the Warden Commander and Lord of Aramanthine, as if I had requested the Warden Commander boon. Being Chancellor was ignored. I guess the Chancellor bit didn't last more than a few months and my Warden was replaced by Arl Eamon.

Likewise the Warden's disappearance with Morrigan now seems to have been made canon.

I imagine if we get go to Gwaren in DA3 you might get to hear your people trash talk you for disappearing for no reason whatsoever.

I'm not asking for any type of consequence.I would've just liked to see a mention of the title in the HoF codex entry like the the others such as Queen and warden commander.
