I remember the first time I posted in the DAO forum.  I felt so new and afraid and unsure of how to do things.  I even posted a spam in the OT forum, not knowing it was spam. 

Now, I find myself in that same, awkward position.  The layout here is really nice and wow...how much easier is it to format and put in emoticons.  But...I feel so foreign.  I'm not afraid of new things....well, not really.  I'm just afraid of looking like a total dufus-head....oh wait - too late! 

Seriously, is anyone else kinda just poking the jello and seeing what happens?  Cuz I SO feel like a fishie out of water...

2nd edit:  Now it says "reply has been saved"    WHAT THE CRUD IS THAT?  What did I do?  Did it just mean that it saved my edited reply?  I am so lost......

I'm with you. I don't even know how to quote properly yet. This site looks very nice, but for me there's just too much inforamtion - i don't know where to look first. And I miss the *add to my topics* option. The old site is much clearer. Oh well, I suppose we would have to get used to this. I remeber when the *new* (now old) Dragon Age web site was being introduced. It had it's ups and downs and finally people grew fond of it.

It is not just you. I am finding myself just getting used to the look and feel. And not sure what I am looking at exactly combined with a hundred user names that I do not recognize.



I feel like my cat sniffing the air for minutes before gingerly steping a foot out the door. I fully expect to bolt to the nearest bush and watch for a bit.



Although they now have made it even more obvious that I have no friends! Heh.

sounds familiar - grey on white were colors used before the old site changed...

I am having trouble as well.  I just go in and play with things and hope I don't make any boo-boos...

I just learned how to link yesterday.  I am so proud of myself. 



Does the color violates anyone's eyes?  I am hoping that it would be a little easier to read than the grey on grey..


Edit:  Fixed color so that massive amounts of people's eyes won't be bleeding all over their keyboards.

And Kyari, while that text is brighter, it actually hurts my eyes and makes it harder to read. Have you tried white? Then again, that turns your text invisible in the post field, doesn't it?

I think people, like me, are afraid of intruding on other's privacy and are afraid to ask. Oh...and I don't know HOW to request a friend.

It's broken, not disabled.

And for friends, you can go to the user's profile and click the plus under the portrait.

Trying to find the right color is hard.  The blue does violate the eyes.  It was violating my eyes. If I could change the background and test it before posting then it wouldn't be so bad. 
I wanted to change the text 'cause the grey puts a strain on my tired old eyes...I am an old fogey..
