It was already extinct before anything was done to it.
Personally I take it with me as a side arm every now and then to have something to fall back on if the Argus fails to deliver in a pinch or something.

I got a Paladin I in one of my psps, coincidentally my Carnifex X ceased to exist.

It's just a tad to heavy for my casters now, so i normally just use something else. Be it a hurricane/scorpion/paladin or whatever. On other classes i flat out prefer different weapons.

I still use it on casters. If my Paladin was a little higher leveled I would use it instead though.

The paladin makes a better psuedo sniper. The talon, acolyte, and scorpion are better for anything else.

I guess you could call it the viper effect; why use the viper if you have a valiant?

I have a Paladin IX, probably soon to be X, so the Carnifex is more than obsolete.

No Paladin here. I use the Carnifex when the New Acolyte is not appropriate.

There's nothing to talk about. It does what it should and it does it well.

Like any other gun that is called useless now because nerfs or w/e, put it on a GI with a bunch of consumables and be happy.

Then start putting it on other characters and watch it grow on you. With the Carnifex, I like to use the scope because lol console version. On PC it's way better for headshots. But if you have a Paladin X, then there's really no point to use a Carnifex anymore, other than challenges.

Meh, Carnifex is pretty boring imho. I used to use it all the time but i've practically ignored it these last couple of months.

Isn't Paladin I worse than Carnifex X? I thought it gets better around IV or V.

It's still a great gun.

To me, it's just that other guns are more fun, and I rarely have a need for any pistol but the Talon.

And when I'm not taking the Talon, I'm taking the Scorpion.

I personally hate the Carnifex and the Paladin, their rates of fire are too low for my tastes, as well as the ammo capacity. I'm more of a Phalanx guy.

Largely because the game has been out long enough that people have high level ultra rare alternatives.

Carnifex is still a good weapon, despite some weird rhetoric I saw in other threads claiming it was useless above silver.

Perfectly sums up my thoughts on the matter. I remember the carnfex was my go-to gun during the demo days.

I still use the Carniflex a lot on Adepts, especially the Asari. I have the Paladin at a decent level & i know all the benefits of it, but it just feels wrong to me. No matter how many times i use it i want to get just one more shot out of the clip...and don't.

Yeah because 20% extra weight ruins your actual cooldown times...
