Didn't put extended barrels onto the Widow or the Claymore because the bars were so close to being full already.

I remember playing wih people who didn't know what the extra gun on their back was. Waching me run around holding it in my hands, asking "wait, how do you use that? What does it do?" and me blowing up swarmers to demonstrate
Also remember the first thing I ever used a missile on: a single geth rocket trooper, in the windowed hallway entrance to the right of the firebase ghost extraction. I was so mesmerized by the complete liquidation of the geth's body.
I also used to really appreciate the blood/gore system, watching blood appear on the walls behind troopers, watching bodies tremble and collapsing at the knees after their heads were popped..... playing as pure support meant my aim was SSOOO much better than it is now......

The best part though?

I had never EVER played a Mass Effect game before.

So as you can imagine, my first experience being engulfed with the multiplayer, trying to piece together the tone of the menu and in-game music with what was going on, and having only seen the sheperd trailer for mass effect 2, plus my first and second games ever were on reactor and ghost, respectively- Mass Effect had a very strange but eccentrically sophisticated quality to it.... i kept playing because I was always expecting something that resembled Horizen wih a mix of mountain jungle-engulfed catwalks. I was also aware of Mass Effect as a technologically cutting-edge game, AI wise. I was particularly excited to test the AI.
Also was very wxcited to witness biotics on the battlefield. Had known already that biotics were prodigies, and that added to the contextual magic of Mass Effect.
Also used to seriously consider speccing my human engineer into melee damage

I also spent lots of money on packs. Not that it mattered, I had enough to spend.

Oh, and I didn't use equipment for my first month or so of playing. I didn't know you could do that. (Consumables I mean, not the supplies)

used all my consumables in wave 1-2 during the demo. i thought they came back like ammo..

Went into Silver with lvl 1 Adept and lvl I Shuriken and got destroyed.

When I saw a Guardian I ran away not knowing you could shoot through the mail slot or pierce the shield.

I would practically bathe in Ravager acid never noticing the damage it did.

I thought grabs were special moves unique to certain characters.

In all fairness to our noobishness, have you ever tried to kill one off those with an Avenger X and no weapon mods? It's insane.

I did not know about ammo boxes. So when I ran out of ammo and saw the message "Press 8 to refill your ammo", I did just that and thought that was how you got new ammo. I did think it was an odd game mechanic. I can't remember how long it took before I figured it out (I must have run out of ammo packs at some point), but it took some games to do so.

God no, I used an avenger I instead but decided to rocket it about 10 seconds in.

The stupid part was that both Arelex and I thought that inferno grenades sucked, so we ran with 3 ranks inferno grenades and 6 ranks carnage builds. For shame! In our defense, this was back in the demo days.


Also, I think I used missiles on extraction waves a couple of times, before realizing it was pointless.
