Played the first month solo cuz' I couldn't get over my concern of going public and sucking. Turns out the month of soloing gave me pretty ok skills at MP.

Yeah definitely rocketing every Atlas as soon as I see it, even on bronze. Really any boss type got a rocket, but especially Banshees. When I first started playing, nothing caused more pants pissing than Banshees.

In my very first game I didn't realize that the team was supposed to meet up in the lobby and start the game together. So I "created a new game" - left the setting on private - and launched the mission - expecting people to join at the start of the game.

Let us just say that my first solo attempt didn't go down successfully... Apart from feeling like being thrown into the opening scene of "Saving Private Ryan" (on Bronze, mind you), I still doubt that I could solo anything with a level 1 character (Human Sentinel, I believe), wielding the mighty lvl I Shuriken & Predator...

The stupid part was that both Arelex and I thought that inferno grenades sucked, so we ran with 3 ranks inferno grenades and 6 ranks carnage builds. For shame! In our defense, this was back in the demo days.


Also, I think I used missiles on extraction waves a couple of times, before realizing it was pointless.

Melee-specced a human sentinel and completely ignored the new weight mechanic, loading her down with a Mattock and one of the common shotguns. I also thought, until I died the first time, that tech armor worked the way it did in Mass Effect 2.

Shot a missile at swarmer (by accident) ...and believe it or not, killed it ....lol

I skipped warp on Turian Sentinel.
And throw on Asari Adept.

And I kept trying to hijack an atlas!

I had no clue what the red crosses where that would appear by my name, I thought it was some kind of connection indicator, and when I saw "you got kicked from the game" I thought I lost my connection.

I didn't realize gear wasn't consumable...lol

It took me a few waves to figure out you can revive other players in multiplayer. I just ran around at first like an idiot like you are supposed to do in CoD and wasn't around the other players.

Also kept picking random difficulty on accident so it took me a few waves to figure out I wasn't in bronze.

I used to see it on other people and never understand what was going on, but i figured it out before the first time i got kicked form a lobbby

1) Used all my 3 missiles in wave 1 on bronze.
2) I realized that ammo boxes are bugged (they don't refill my missiles... stupid game!!).

1. Didn't realize how to switch enemy / location / difficulty. So all my first games were an FB.Ghost/Cerb/Bronze.
2. Got a drell adept an used his melee.
3. Got a BW and used it on the drell,... Still on FBG/Cerb/Bronze

Very first game - saw one of my team-mates and just kept shooting at him from close range. For quite some time.

In fairness he seemed pretty ok about it. No angry reaction or kicking was involved.

Took a HSe, didn't spec Throw, used an Avenger I-II. Thought bronze was really hard.
Came a long way from that.

Didn't take warp on a AA because it did low damage compared to throw.

I didn't know how to use the consumables for several matches. Probably he biggest aha! point was actually learning how to do biotic explosions.
