Hi, I have yet to download toolset for this excellent game. I played it one time through. I think this engine will be perfect for a knights of the old republic remake. Do you think it will be possible to use this toolset to make KOTOR remake(transform)?

Current 3D models and textures wouldn't fit in such purpose. The Knights of the old Rebublic is playable as it is why to remake it ?

So is the Baldur's Gate series, yet the proposed remake of that is the third most popular project on this site.

It could use a remake, I'm having trouble playing it. I can't actullay get any further in the game as it crashes before I can land on Dantooine. Does anyone else know how to sort this problem?

I can't personally see a point in remakes, How ever if you go for a enchanted personal touch of the story. adding what you thought was missing from the original and flesh it out. (adding surprices and small changes to those who already played the original)
a clone would certainly not do it. it need to be upgraded to todays standard, not only in graphics but in gameplay elements.

No offense to the original poster, but if you want to remake a 40+ hour RPG made by a team of well over 100 people for several years, yet have to ask other people on the forums if the toolset is adequate to do so, you have no idea what you're getting into and will not succeed.
I know it sounds harsh but the projects page is already full of dead, ridiculously over-ambitious projects.

Game remakes are interesting concepts, but it is more likely it will be made as DLC with fixed glitches. I'd much rather that. Remaking a game to be all jazzy and such never always goes down great, I mean, look at wolfenstein.
