And if there is a Templar or Anti-Mage character in the party you gain massive negativity points by summoning demons. I mean come on, something like that has to have consequences. Think about what if Hawke did it, the party (especially Fenris) would have went nuts. There needs to be a consequence if something like this is in the game.

Summoning a demon causes it to attack the summoner, blood magic cannot control a demon.

BioWare just forgot that and several dozen other plot points from DAO when they made DA2.

Although I suppose being able to summon a demon which is then hostile to all, would make for a spell that is correct lore wise, though it wouldn't be that useful if it attacks the party half of the time.
