Can someone explain what makes the valkyrie better than the fury?

Warp's cooldown feels painfully slow when I need it to recharge in cqc because I'm so used to the fury.
Warp's debuff seems worthless because dark channel probably deals more damage the the extra debuff damage, and it's just not spammable enough to use with the powerful weapons I want to use it with.

You can't compare the two because of one Power, because the two classes should not be played the same.

This was the only way I was thinking I could make her better, but it's just not fun for me because I LIKE TO GO FAST.... Dat movement speed evolution.ToLazy4Name wrote...
AF Damage taken + Warp Expose + Warp Ammo = up to 180% extra damage, plus tankyness and very fast dodges. She's amazing.
That is a lot of potential damage though.

The Valkyrie is not the Explosion Engine that the Fury is, but is up there for Armor Debuffing and close range weapons combat.

Different strengths but both are excellent at what they do.

All she has is a little bit more survivability. I can carry heavier weapons and deal way more damage with the fury's chain explosions and fast throw cooldown.

Better for Biotics? Its not, Better for Other reasons, it can be.
Personally i run her w/o warp, set AF for radius and debuff, and shield drain, tech armore for damage reduticion, use a shotgun (i prefer wraith) and a 2nd weapon if you want. weight doens't matter you activate both TA and AF at the start and by the time AF wears off you turn it on again. the 90 seconds it lasts will offset any cooldown. get up close for debuff and shoot with shotgun. alo warp rounds 4 do like 165% damage to targets affecte by biotics plus weaken armor by 65% with a wrath and AP/Damage mode and smarth choke you can wipe out enemies easily.

If you're waiting for Warp's cooldown in CQC, you're doing it wrong. Use your gun.
As to which is better, it's like asking whether an Infiltrator or a Vanguard is better. There are only slight differences between Valkyrie and Fury, but the differences are significant enough that they're apples (gun-leaning) and oranges (caster-leaning) to each other.

Valkyrie is for melting bosses.

I'm comparing all powers. Tech armor doesn't synergize as well as dark channel imo, and warp doesn't have a fast enough recharge rate for when I actually need it.theonlycoletrain wrote...

It becomes a weapons class when I play, but I hate to lower warp's CD even further with heavy weapons and tech armor.

You seem to be confused, they are two different classes, with two different purposes.

Major downside. She is basically a one trick dog. Put on AF, charge forward, throw warp, rinse and repeat.

A lot will say she has to be played different from the fury, and that if you try to do what a fury does you won't do as well.
Although I agree she can definitely be played differently from the fury and rock, I actually think she outlcasses the fury even if you play them similar.
Granted, you'll need a different build to do different things.
Myself, I like to play her like a hybrid. I find she's excellent at bombing mook spawns like a fury, but also at killing bosses (almost) as fast as a weapon class. So I pretty much charge the first thing I see in my way and destroy.
Fury was my favourite biotic class before her, now I will probably always play Valkyrie if I can choose.
Edit: Warp CD actually is not nearly long enough to be bad. With a fury, you'll often find yourself getting away from an enemy and then close in again, after a BE, otherwise you won't be able to set up another combo on the same enemy. In that time, warp CD is well over. So there isn't much difference if you want to play her as a fury, imho.

I don't know why people keep playing them the same way. The Valkyrie is a boss killing tank, where the Fury is a biotic little guy destroyer.

What gun only used one magazine??? And no damage at all? Please elaborate.Xaijin wrote...
What part of enough damage and debuff to one-mag a platinum banshee while taking no damage to health during Bansee pulse needs explaining.
A Fury is going to do that never.
