None of the forms for purchasing points will accept a military addrss, so it rejects both my credit card and paypal as having invalid addresses.  Military addresses have "states" like "AP" and "AA", those aren't options here.  Most other retailers have those options.

I'm not stateside, I'm in Japan. I tried using CA as sometimes that works since it matches the zipcode and the mail leaves the states from there...but it didn't work this time. Which means I'll now have to trouble someone stateside to do this for me so I can buy a $7 piece of DLC.

Or take out a college loan like everyone else and join a profession that doesn't involve killing people.

The problem is if his military address is the one on file for the CC then it will decline if the address is wrong.

There aren't words to describe your level of retardation.

P.S.  did college teach you to be an ultra leftwing anti military howling moonbat?

It's scary the level of indoctrination some people have.  The irony is, I bet he thinks people on the other side of the political spectrum and especially people in the military are brainwashed sheep.

Maybe he's right.....I mean I killed 4 people on my way to my office in the shipyard this morning Posted Image

What if he's a cook? Cooks don't (usually) kill people. Unless he says "i'm just the cook", in which case he is really a highly trained navy seal that can take out an entire boat full of terrorists and save the stripper with one hand tied down.

Oh shut up.
Everyone is entitled to their own perspective on the military.
In my family, it is a tradition.
In others? Not so much.

See, at first this post amused me. But then I thought about it and realized he was serious. And that made me very sad...

Humanity continues to disappoint.

If you pay income tax, you're just as responsible for any killing done as anyone else.  Don't like your country?  Leave it.  Don't want to?  Accept the fact that your rights are backed by military arms just as they're erased by political ink.

Now.  On topic.  Since my Steam copy of DA:O hasn't acitvated yet(I'm also stationed in Japan and Steam isn't very supportive of military)  I can't say for certain if it'll work, but on many non-APO/FPO supportive sites you can substitute NY for AA and CA for AP.  It doesn't work 100% of the time but it's worth a try.

There's a difference between disapproving of military service and being a self-rightous douchebag about it.

Actually I operated a nuclear reactor when I was active duty.  Now I coordinate and control maintenance on ships and subs that visit here.  The last gun I fired dealing with the military was in boot camp.  Though I do like to occasionally target shoot, but that's not military related.

- Archangel - I for one commend you for what you and the other troops are doing for this country where ever they are stationed. Anyone who thinks differently isn't worth our time or annoyance. I hope that your issue gets resolved quickly, and again thank you for what you and the troops do so we can all enjoy things like this game :-)

Yep, because all the military does is kill things, right? They don't help with natural disasters, combat terrorism, or anything useful. And you know _everyone_ can get a college loan because banks are just handing money out left and right.

In response to the DLC issue, I'd suggest waiting a few days. There were a lot of issues this morning, to the point that I had to make a second account to even log in, and a lot of people couldn't redeem codes for DLC at all.

Hopefully in a few days everything will be fixed. Since part of the game's main prospect is that you get a completely different game with each origin, you can catch the DLC later either in your first game or a consecutive game.

Back to the anti-military trolling, if you don't like the military because they kill people during war, perhaps you should dislike police even less because they kill people in our own streets every day. 'cause there's no excuse to kill someone. Not in defense of your life or someone else's life. Heaven forbid the military station itself in a country where otherwise militant sects would terrorize the populace even more than they are now. We should just let them have their way and kill people. So long as we're not doing the killing of people who kill other people, then we are in the right.

The sentiment is much appreciated but I've been out for about 7 years.  I'm just a civilian who works with them now.  But I know the guys and gals still active duty appreciate the good thoughts.

Or just get your education on the military's dime.  Free tuition assistance, grants available, GI Bill...  all there for the willing.
Beats spending the first 10 years of your professional life fending off the debt collectors.
