I put a AP mod and a stability mod on my revenant usually. Hell. I always put an AP mod an almost everything.

Yeah, the stability mod is important for the Revenant, but more than stability, it needs the Turian Soldier's Marksman ability to tighten that spread up.

People focus on the instability of the Revenant, but it's the spread that's really the problem.

EDIT: And I'm a proud fan of the Revenant.

Striker is the most underrated. Not terrible, but usually seen as such.

If we're counting the N7 Valkyrie as a promo weapon and not a UR, that.

Otherwise, the Revenant, Falcon, and GPR are all great special purpose weapons, while the Mattock is a good all-around weapon if you don't mind getting carpal tunnel. Striker is good under certain conditions, Argus too. The Collector Rifle is a good overall choice, as are the Phaeston and Vindicator. Avenger is like a less cool GPR which may or may not be better (need to look at the numbers after the GPR buff last week) in certain aspects.

Overall, N7 Valkyrie, then Mattock, then Collector Rifle, and then everything else. As far as the URs go, Typhoon and Saber are on the same level as the Valkyrie, and the Harrier is above that, sharing top-spot with the PPR.

To bag assault rifle points for the challenge I'm using the Phaeston again and liking it now. There was a point in the beginning where I thought it was just throwing harsh language because it would take forever to drop a trooper. They probably buffed it.

That or you are just better with it. Or, depending on what character you are using, it could be they have had their damage bonuses buffed. But I think the Phaeston (still needs a buff) is under-appreciated. I've taken it to gold before and not regretted it.

I like the Argus. Slap on a Stability mod and Extended Barrel and you've got a single burst head shot kill on most non-bosses.

Mattock paired with an immobilizing power like the Batinel's net is a head-poppin' machine.

Given MY trigger finger, it's probably better than the Mattock for me, but I'm not a fan of burst fire anything.

Based on SP experience, I'd rate it lower than the Mattock.
However, there's a quote around here somewhere, I think from a Dev, that at X it's equal to or greater than the Harrier - may be a while until we see one of those though

Revenant, Phaeston and GPR are runners up depending on your sustained fire needs. On the heavy weapons classes, the Revenant is actually a beast, and it eats bosses and trash mobs for breakfast. Phaeston is sort of a Revenant-Lite, and the GPR is a super-Locust, for all that's worth.

I want to like the Collector Rifle, and I've tried it on some of the better AR classes but... I dunno. I keep coming back to it feeling like a heavier, lower capacity Phaeston.

Yeah I found that curious as well. Although at early levels it seems most of the weapons above common are pretty heavy. On my alt account (PS3) I just go a Piranha 1, and even though I know they increased the weight a while back, I was shocked at how heavy it was at 1. Won't be using THAT for a few levels!

Revenant, then Falcon.

The Revenant rules on a Turian Soldier. And the Falcon is fantastic on adepts and engineers, giving you tons of explosions and bursts in the safest way possible.


As for the Mattock, I really dislike that gun cuz you have to mash on that trigger like crazy. But if you have a turbo controller, or don't really care if your finger falls off, then sure, Mattock is great.

That is a super-awesome analogy, and it's great to see someone else sticking up for the Rev.

Definitely Mattock, but that will break your mouse, so i suggest the vindicator.
