this this this! i learned how to do this last night, reload cancel witht he Black Widow. someone posted about it earlier in this thread and i got the hang of it very very quickly. i still think i prefer the Valiant over it, but i did own a few matches with this weapon on my Salarian Infiltrator. i almost go the Black Widow challenge piece complete in the little time i used itJackumsD wrote...
Hunter Mode increases damage to all targets, whereas Tactical Scan affects only a single target and needs to constantly be reapplied. I only ever used TS on boss enemies, as I could take anything else out without it in the time I had to wait for the animation to finish. Tactical Cloak is enough of a damage boost.
I also skip Proximity Mine on my GI. He's a sniper, also (Black Widow), and I just find having to fire a mine half way across the map to be inconvenient, especially when I can take everything but boss enemies out in a single clip anyway. I go for Damage over Duration, and can basically fire and reload cancel with cloak given how fast the cooldown is. I understand PM's usefulness, but also understand how one could spec out of it, and the GI has been one of my favourite kits since its release.
i am like you and can't use Prox Mines efficiently. i'd rather just go all damage with just shooting. i'm waiting to get my Javelin higher rank before trying the GI again. i think that is the better snipe combo.
