What would you say are the top three guns in each weapon category and why?

I play with all the guns too much to say which one is the top of its category. I merely want to say, xD thank you for the Army of Darkness reference.

Many are niche weapons.

I love the Saber far more than the Harrier. I use them on different classes, as they are different weapons.

I could more easily tell you which guns suck.

I think it's hard to pick top 3 in many of the categories because different weapons fill different niches e.g. Scorpion vs. Talon vs. Paladin in pistols.

Very true.

I like the Saber too, but sometimes the carpal tunnel kicks in for me when clicking too much, which is why I prefer the auto AR's more.

Agree with upinya for the most part.

I would change swap out Valiant for Indra, Saber for Typhoon, and Claymore for Piranha.
SMGs are a joke though; the clearly superior option is the Hurricane.
