others have reported the same error. This is not related to the Comodo issue at least - just there isn't a server where to download anything related to ME3.

Yeah it does seem to be related specifically to me3 as all other games in my origin client will update perfectly fine

The patch addressed the loading issue -- it takes only half the time to start the game now.

My friend is now getting this Cannot connect to Download Server issue as well. Same error and everything. May it be related to when the Origin client was booted? I did mine much earlier this morning and it worked fine, he tried it only like 10 minutes ago and it doesnt work :/

I am thinking people might be assigned to a specific server to gain access to patches and other downloads and there are one or two servers that are causing the issue, for I was just able to download the patch 30min ago.  That could also be why there aren't the patch notes, someone screwed up at set the patch to go live when it shouldn't.

The problem sounds like it could have started after normal business hours so nobody who can do something about it is at work yet and wasn't given a high enough priority to call someone in.

and it wont untill ea get a server thats fit for purpose,

currently theres more than 1 million people trying to get a patch out of the origin drm server (thats what the current update is) soem people get lucky and they connect to it and get it others keep hittign the retry button and getting the same crap error

there patch server has the ability to handle a max of 10k connections (god knows why) it doesnt have the ability to queue requests and operates on the same fail netcode as the stupid DRM server (its probably the same one to be honest) so yeah its just goign to take time

you can re install everythign you like it wont make a jot of differnce to how fast you do or dont get the update, oh and as a bonus playing on a host that has the update means everything is invisible

hopefully it will all be sorted out before tomorrows n7 festivities

I noticed that too. Good thing that EA has fixed the load time issue.

Since yesterday eve (our time) things really seem super fast compared to what it was lately. Going to the store was a breeze - I'm honestly (good) surprised! Whatever they did, please keep on doing it!

Indeed, I was able to download the update... and now Origin tells me I'm offline and doesn't connect no matter how often I click "Go Online". Sigh. Origin has given me nothing but trouble since day one.

I had to restart the PC and wait a minute or two before Origins would "go online" but now it has the update has downloaded okay.

Well the DLC check is certainly faster. The loading speeds for going into MP and the Store are still a bit slow for my taste though.

I believe it had to do something with connectivity.

For almost I month I couldn't connect, after the patch it connected immediately.

Ok works now but wait it was only 2.02 kb in size !! That is absolutely nothing at all and must be one of the smallest patches in gaming history!!! what size did everyone else have?
