Several days ago I tried to delete an unused character I had created with the CC but never actually played. While he no longer appears on the persone page, he is still listed under profile diagnostics, with plenty errors:

Apart from that I have 6 active characters, all but one of which show error 1005. Two of them I had to delete once to get their portrait to show.

I'm having similar errors. In game, I've played and deleted a bunch of different characters (trying all the origins). I've since come onto the web site and deleted all of the characters I no longer care about, and everything appears to be working properly on the web site, but running the diagnostics I get errors 1001, 1002, 1003 for the characters that I deleted (it looks like not all of the files related to those characters got deleted properly), and for all but 2 of the characters that I still want I'm getting 1005 errors, with some characters showing as many as 7 files uploaded instead of the required 4.



It would be really nice if we could delete characters from the Diagnostics page, so we could nuke the useless files from partially deleted characters ourselves. I'd be happy if there were a giant button somewhere that would delete ALL my uploaded character data and screenshots as well. I've got no problem forcing the game to re-upload them if it would fix the problems.

I agree, the maximum allowed 100 files are filling up quickly between screenshots, mysterious extra files and undeletable pseudo-deleted files. The one error free character I have has 4 files, all my error 1005 ones 7 files, too.

Did any of your characters get updated the past few days? I finally managed to get my noble human back up to lvl 24 (displayed as 23 for ages) but having no luck forcing any of the others to upload, some are about 5 lvl behind now...

I'm in the same situation - with both characters and screenshots. I also created and deleted a bunch of characters to try different origin's and test some mods and such. From this I also had a whole bunch of screenshots uploaded - started with 40 online.



I've gone and deleted all my characters apart from 1 - in fact I've had to delete the same ones 3-5 times now, they still keep re-appearing on my character list.. and they are not character's I play anymore (in fact they have been long deleted from my computer...)



My Diagnostic's screen shows me having 11 characters, while my profile is only showing 1 character atm. All characters in the Diag screen, apart from the 1 "correct" character, are showing combinations of 1001, 1002, 1003 & 1004 error codes on them with 1 ore more bits showing with a green tick or yellow exclamation mark symbol on them. These all have 1 or 2 files associated. My one "correct" character has error 1005 & 12 files.



So I'm expecting to see some of these characters re-appear, and have to re-delete them again.. and maybe then it will delete the last file or 2 for them..



As for screenshot storage - my Diag says I have 19 screenshots. Yet I deleted all 40 that were on my account & none are showing in screenshot listing or manage screenshot.. yet the diag states I have 19 there. pfft.

The character I'm currently playing updated properly.  She's got a 1005 error (1 extra file), but is working fine.  Updates seem to be delayed by a few hours, but are working properly.

Another character I just created two or three days ago is reporting no errors, but hasn't fully updated yet.  She's showing Level 1 with 100 XP, but she's actually Level 3 now (just finished her Origin story).  It's been a couple days since I've played her.

My other three characters are all up-to-date, but I haven't played them in several weeks (two are finished the game, one is just past his origin and I just haven't gotten around to him yet).  The first character I played (my current forum avatar) was having problems updating for the longest time, but deleting a bunch of screenshots then forcing her to upload by changing her equipment and saving a new game seems to have done the trick.

I think we all feel that way. I have 9 characters atm, but according to the diagnostic I have 20, and all the extras are dragging unwanted files with them filling up the piffling amount of storage files we're allowed. Either they need to let us have more storage space - or find a way to actually delete files we've told the site to delete.

*End grumble.*

With regard to the 1005 error - I've had some luck with the following. Delete the character from the site, then play them ingame, do a full save, and wait for them to be uploaded again. On several occasions, the new upload has had the correct number of files, a couple of times its taken 2 or 3 deletes from site/reuploads. On one character I had to do it about 10 times. Took almost a week. However, it can work. But it doesn't prevent it from happening again.

Seriously. We need a 'purge' button to get rid of all those leftover files that aren't getting deleted for whatever reason. Or whoever manages the social site could purge them for us. That would be nice.

I didn't buy the game for the social stuff, and I realize the profiles on the web site add nothing at all to the gameplay, but I really, really wish they worked right, and it makes me sad that they're so borked.

I haven't deleted any characters yet, but I have also seen a number of errors and the profiles for both the characters I have are not updating with any regularity. I played for at least three hours last night and the online profile hasn't updated in 2 days.

If you mean that you deleted a character from your profile, but you still have that character ingame, all you have to do is load that character (play) and make a save (not a quicksave). The character will reupload with a new save - although it may take a while for the character to reappear on your profile page.

I think the 1004 code is related to characters created with developer console mode enabled. I had enabled it to play around with the varius console commands and since then my character I created and originally enabled it on, as well as any new character I've created has stoped updating to the site. I'll have to turn off console mode tommrow and see if that makes a difference.

Ok see I don't understand why there are so many errors and why they limit the files it doesnt make sense however my thing is how do i fix the errors or atleast get stuff to show up properly for my characters.
