I really like how the Female Turians look! They're feminine, but still alien and somewhat intimidating. I can totally imagine Jennifer Hale or another voice actor with a deeper tone making this character into a total badass. I hope we get Female Turians in MP, since the Turians have a character in every class except Adept and Vanguard. Turians are my favorite race in Mass Effect and I'm happy that we finally get to see what the women look like. Great job BioWare! I'm really looking forward to this DLC! :wizard:

i'm having a crazy, unlikely thought. Female Turian VA.... Michelle Rodriguez?

No, Eliza Dushku!

She looks really, really cool.. I was so prepared for another male in a hood and ...surprise!

I hope there's a dialogue option 'We'll bang okay?'

Trying to ignore the most discomforting reactions in this thread (not that I didn't expect them...), I kind of like most of the design, with some reservation.

I like that she looks ruggedly badass like Garrus and the other male Turians we've seen in the game so far. I'm hoping she gets a really good voice actress as well, and that she's got a growly voice as well, but still different from the male voices. *fingers crossed*

But I'm a bit annoyed that they made her mouth look more human-like, as others have pointed out. I love the way they designed the male Turians mouthes reminiscent of beaks, while this looks like the Turian version of human lips.

Still, I really love that Bioware finally designed a female Turian! Next up is female Drell that I'm sure would look awesome. :)

Oh, and here's hoping that we'll get female Turians for the MP after Omega has been released!

Perhaps there should have been was an ounce more consistency between the two. Turians may be based on birds, but the difference between the sexes of birds is most often their color of plumage. And while humans can have differing builds and skeletal structures between males and females, here with the Turians we have what could be considered a noticeably different jaw structure or even mechanism.

She's not terrible IMO but they could have done better.
Like respecting what that they established female turians have skull crests like male turians and asari do. For anyone who doesn't remember, the turian in the bachelor party conversation in ME2 said it.

We will have another amazing DLC to MP.
Female Turians is guaranteed, like new Salarians.
I think we will have new faction too.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw her, mainly because I saw the pictures in my tumblr dashboard. And the low quality made them look like photos.

But I still remember the day I started playing Mass Effect, and the moment Nihlus appeared on the screen. I turned to my brother and asked: "Is that an alien, or a man with a mask?" (needless to say, I fell in love with turians right that second)

That effect is caused by:

1) The light skin around her eyes. It's true that Garrus' was lighter in ME1 than in 2 and 3, but even then, it was still darker than his face plates. Having this in reverse enhances de "mask" effect.

2) The size of the head. Male Turians have very long heads, which looks alien. Hers is almost human in size, which looks weird, because she's clearly not human.

Also her neck is really weird. But I like her, can't wait to see her in action. Also, I totally believe we'll have them in multiplayer, probably in the next DLC.

I wouldn't demand it, but is there any possibility of the developers tweaking the model at this point in regards to that? This might also be a trailer model, which always seem to be a little different and especially high-resolution compared to in-game models.

No, I don't think they'll change anything. But I do believe that seeing her in the game will be different, not just because of the way the cinematics of the game work, but also because we'll be more used to her appearance.

I just see a being that looks like a smaller turian with softer features. Like all larger females in the animalia catagory.

Am I the only one that noticed the difference in their mouth/jaw? The male Turians seem to have exposed teeth under the two mandibles at the sides, while the female seems to have a small opening for a mouth?

No, they're the same. It's just the angle.

Next DLC needs to add Female Turians, Female Krogan (only like one or two classes), and Salarians (don't really care gender, since they aren't that different)

Actually, a DLC with just 6 new Female Turian classes would be awesome. Turians have the largest military in the galaxy, why not let them have the biggest representation in MP next to humanity?

Sad thing is, I was actually looking for this picture, I was about to post how the way the eyes and mouth are set up reminded me a lot of Grievous.

Well, to be fully honest, the eye thing does remind me of Grievous. Like, a lot.

Like, the main reason that made me think she looks like she's wearing a mask. I wonder if anyone on the development team noticed at the time.

Ladies' Night DLC pack!
They have character models for Turians and Krogan (sort of; Eve seemed like a male in robes to me. Same goes for Salarians), maybe add some more female Quarians, even female humans because there are fewer of them than male.
