It's been the other way around for me. It's usually on my BatSent. I'm Submission Netting every phantom, detonating tech and biotic explosions with shockwave, keeping banshees, brutes off of everyone's back. Specifically, it was a Gold/Reapers on Rio. Everyone would try to hold the middle, but I'd bring all the big bads to me and finish them while the others were holding the middle. I only finished third, but I really felt like a pulled my share of the weight.

lol, I use this excuse when I'm not in first actually! I'm like "ugh, they beat me by 1500 points BUT they used two missiles so technically I did better." It is so petty and ridiculous but it's just how I feel:crying:

Well, one time. I played the Female Quarian Engineer for the first time since they did that change with the "pets." I just had to test it out with a flamethrower! So, I equipped my character with the Revenant and Reegar, since I might suck at using the powers.

I TOTALLY had fun in that match! Double teaming with my turret is so fun! Throw it one side, and Reegar the other side of the enemy... so much fun! I got first place by luck, though. We were fighting geth, and I believe everyone else was using things that get stunned easy, or something. I can't remember! That was long ago...

Sometimes when I play with my justicar and there are other biotics or a vanguard charging things and detonating my area reave I feel a little guilty because I get alot of kills for things I didn't really attack. It is a team game anyway so I usually only care about score if I am below 40k on gold then I know I was not helping enough.

Never. Mostly because it doesn't happen anymore.

To be fair, as the proud inventor of Biagra, your biotic explosions are less likely to be duds, and many of us biotic users appreciate the boost.

Today I came in first by 40k on a Gold match as a Paladin, even though I was getting stagger-locked and downed the entire game. I felt like I sucked, but when I was actually on my feet, I did way more damage than others, I guess.

I just got out of a platinum match, white/cerberus, where the scores ended up being

187,000 (me, TGI w/ harrier, AP ammo & thermal scope)
50,000 (also TGI w/ harrier)
31,000 (asari vanguard w/ mattock)
There was a fourth guy but he left around wave 3.

Full extraction, I earned that one.

I feel a little guilty sometimes when using incendiary ammo - its dot makes it so that you'll often get credit for kills, since damaging it every fraction of a second raises your chances of being the one that finally does it in. Plus you get credit for FE's you prime with it.

Almost every Silver game when im leveling. Im thinking im playing like crap and I check the score and im 10k ahead of everyone, what the what.

Got like 80% of the score in a Silver PUG, playing Salarian Engineer specced for Energy Drain against Geth. Ran around draining ALL the things, prolly stealing no end of kills in the process. Decided to only take that char to Gold in the future.

Two occasions where I will feel coming first place as severely meaningless, although generally wherever I came I view it as meaningless as I said before the only number I care about at the end of a match is the credits earned.

Anyhow the two occasions for the purpose of your question are when

1. I'm in a bronze group with three very new players using standard weapons
2. When Im playing a class that just spams aoes be it through powers or grenades

The only time I feel first place is earnt and I'm happy about it is when I've out sniped everyone else on my team regardless of what they are playing. Happens rarely but it is also partially luck dependant too as I need things to spawn where I can shoot them without having to run to them

It happens a lot for me. With friends, it often means I got lucky with my missiles and got some killstreaks.

Tried out the Turian Ghost with Cerberus Harrier III, didn't do much on the last 3 waves and I still outstripped the rest of the team by a wide margin. That the damage output that kit can spit out is sick.

Yes.  Just had a game were I played as the Bf3 soldier and I bet out 2 furies and an Asari Justicar on gold.  Gotta love fire!

 Sometimes when I play gold on the Human Engineer and get first I don't feel like I earned it because of how many downs I get.

Well, played a game against the Geth yesterday just after the patch had installed, Energy Drained most of the Primes etc to death with one hit. I guess that could be a non deserved victory... and first place.

Always when I use the quarian engineer + 5 nades and kill all hords directly after spawn with fire-explos or techbursts while others had not even time to aim at enemy
