ME2, the last time Shepard had a brain.

ME2 for me, because it was the first game in the series I've played. But ME1 is very, very close to that.
ME3: it never happened

I haven't played Mass Effect 1 yet, so I can't say. But, between Mass Effect 2 and 3, I'll probably have to go with 2 because it was the game that introduced and hooked me onto the Mass Effect universe. I love Mass Effect 3 too though, but I think ME2 wins ever so slightly. But, Mass Effect 1 and future playthroughs of both games could change that in the future. We'll have to see!!

ME2 is the best, ME3 would have been better if not for the obvious corner cutting in certain places. ME1 was a good experience, but the gameplay was tedious and the levels felt drab and unispiring apart from Virmire and Ilos.

I had not played ME2 in a while, l think I stopped my last play-through about a month or two before ME3 came out, I booted it up two days ago....I still felt the same way about that game as I did the first time I played it.

It was truly great, I can honestly say no other game has done that for me.

Sense of wonder, journey and anticipation. Not to mention the exploration of uncharted words.  Oh and Quazar machines!
